1. The document discusses a school principal's concept paper for a project to address issues identified at Canayaon Elementary School.
2. Testing found that 8 of 27 Grade 2 students struggled with reading skills and 11 of 27 Grade 3 students had difficulties with math word problems. The school stage and gate were also identified as hazardous.
3. The project's objectives are to help the 8 Grade 2 students improve reading skills, help the 11 Grade 3 students solve math word problems, and renovate the school stage and gate. This will contribute to achieving DepEd's vision of literacy and numeracy skills development for students.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

INTRODUCTION: * What is your understanding of DepEd Vision and Mission?
* What is the role of your school in delivering the DepEd Vision and Mission?
Our school is a learner- centered institution wherein we recognize and respect the range
of rights of the students, and not just their right to be educated but their rights to be healthy,
to be given them opportunities to play and leisure, to be protected from harm and abuse, to
express their views freely, and participate in decision- making according to their evolving
capacities as well. It is a child friendly- school that enables children to learn as much as their
intellectual faculties could take and equips them with knowledge and skills that they can use
throughout life thereby becoming responsible and productive members of the community and
society.
We can help to protect the rights of every Filipino by making sure that they could
master the basic skills of writing, reading, speaking, mathematics, and all other necessary
skills that they can use through life. Learners are also given equal opportunities for learning
by treating them equally, regardless of gender, social status, cultural views or religious belief.
We believe that it takes a village to build a school or to educate a child because
teachers cannot do it alone. The active participation of all its stakeholders is a must and the
biggest factor that we could develop life-long learners. RA 9155 speaks about school-based
management with a principle in mind that the people in the community are the best person
to address the concerns of the school because they are the one who directly involve in the
process as a source of strategic thrusts, crucial resources for learning, curriculum
development and as “rights-bearer” of rights to education.
Problem
Description
1. Based on Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) conducted in
Grade Two, 1st Quarter SY 2016 – 2017, it was found out that 8 out
of 27 pupils have difficulty in reading. So, the 8 learners are the
2. primary concern of the project.
2. Based on the Early Grade Mathematics Assessment (EGMA)
conducted in Grade Three, 1st Quarter SY 2016 – 2017, it was found
out that 11 out of 27 pupils have difficulty in Word Problems. So, the
11 learners are the primary concern of the project.
3. Based on the Start of the School Year 2016 - 2017 Evaluation, It was
found out that the School Stage and the School Gate are hazardous to
the Learner, So, the School Stage and School gate are the primary
concern of the project.

Benefits of
Solving the
problem
1. Eight Grade Two pupils could identify the first sound of each
word and to read familiar or high frequency words.
Solving this problem contribute to achieving DepEd’s vision and
mission because literacy skills development is one of the basic
goals of elementary education. As necessary as reading is to the
success of a child—and in school. Children need to learn to read
early to have success in school; success in school is a success in
our entire department.
3. 2. Eleven Grade Three pupils could use operations of addition and
subtraction to solve a given problem.
Solving this problem contribute to achieving DepEd’s vision and
mission because numeracy skills development is one of the basic
goals of elementary education. And It offers an opportunity to
determine whether children are developing the fundamental skills
upon which other mathematical skills build. This result indicates
that while these pupils had a good sense of numbers on a number
line, they had yet to learn more complex problem-solving
techniques.
3. Children of Canayaon Elementary School.
The community of CES become happy and smart and can improve
pupil’s academic performance.
