The Nuts and Bolts of Measuring SharePoint ActivityChristian Buckley
To determine whether something has been successful, organizations must create a baseline of activity, monitor and measure over time, and then compare the results to the baseline. One of the leading conflicts between business users and IT happens when there is not accurate data around what is actually happening within the system. Thus, measuring the success of SharePoint should begin with SMART goals: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound.
Slides from a joint webinar with Christian Buckley, Microsoft MVP and CMO of Beezy, and Tal Ben-David from CardioLog Analytics. The intent of this session is to help organizations to learn more about what can be achieved out-of-the-box and through the partner ecosystem to get SharePoint measurements back on track, with a comparison between out-of-the-box SharePoint analytics usage to help attendees understand the direction Microsoft is headed in, as well as an in-depth demonstration of advanced analytics that you can use today to achieve SMART goals.
Within the Office 365 ecosystem, what is the best method to have your message heard by the right audience? This presentation walks through the different options in the Microsoft arena, including SharePoint News and Communication Sites, Yammer, Teams, and more.

This document defines key terms related to food chains and cycles of life. It explains that a cycle of life includes birth, growth, reproduction, and death for living things. Photosynthesis is defined as the process by which plants use sunlight, water and carbon dioxide to produce food. Food chains represent the transfer of nutrients between organisms, with plants as producers, herbivores as primary consumers, and carnivores as secondary consumers or predators of prey. The environment and adaptations help animals survive, and animals have evolved variations over years through the process described by Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.
El documento describe el contexto político y social de México después de la independencia. A second order system transfer function is ωn2/(s2+2ξωns+ωn2). Examples of second order systems include mechanical springs and electrical RLC circuits.
**WEBINAR - to see a recording of this presentation given on 10th December 2014 - http://www.clearbox.co.uk/the-future-of-sharepoint-webinar-video/
SharePoint dominates as an intranet and collaboration platform, but it seems increasingly challenged by more nimble, consumer-driven technologies. Microsoft too, seems to be putting the emphasis on Office 365. How should SharePoint evolve? How much should we be driven by employee expectations? And what should SharePoint teams be planning in response? In this keynote, Sam will consider:
• What are the trends in how people work and what they expect from their workplace tools?
• How useful is SharePoint as the basis for a digital workplace?
• How strong is the case for moving to Office 365?
• Is Microsoft’s roadmap enough to keep them in the lead?
• What are rival platforms doing that SharePoint misses?
No matter how well designed your SharePoint intranet is, if it’s not used by employees then it won’t add value. However, SharePoint adoption remains a challenge for many companies, with low usage levels and functionality that often ignored as old practices persist. In this session Sam Marshall will guide you through a range of techniques for improving the use of your intranet.
• Why is SharePoint adoption challenging?
• What strategies have leading companies used to successfully introduce social tools?
• How much should we rely on managers and leaders to drive intranet adoption?
• How can you get away from 'big bang' launches?
• How can we encourage people to create content and interact, rather than just reading it?
This webinar discussed trends in SharePoint implementations after the initial phase. It found that SharePoint is improving collaboration for most organizations by centralizing information. However, search customizations and usage monitoring are not major focuses in early phases. Common challenges include ensuring central administration, user utilization, participation incentives, and measuring payback. Successful initiatives link SharePoint to business needs, look for other uses as a platform, and focus on change management and user experience.

SharePoint can cover many functions of a digital workplace such as collaboration, communication, and finding information, but it will never be a complete solution on its own. A successful digital workplace depends more on management, adoption, and employee experience than just the underlying technology. SharePoint may be a good option for parts of a digital workplace, especially if combined with other tools, but organizations need to have a clear strategy and governance in place to ensure user needs are met.

iStart - Sharepoint: Getting to the pointHayden McCall
Information overload. It defines the age we live in. Distraction,
clutter, and search angst are daily productivity killers causing
headaches and wasting hours.
Believe the disciples, and Microsoft’s SharePoint is on the
cusp of greatness, bringing order to clutter, collaboration to
fragmentation and timeliness to information and decision
making. But listen to the unconverted and it’s badly designed,
slow and another marketing snow job holding together the
Microsoft stack.
Your IT department probably already has the product, so iStart
canvassed a couple of experts on implementing SharePoint to
help you decide if it is a fit for wider use within your business…

SharePointFest Konferenz 2016 - Creating a Great User Experience in SharePointMarc D Anderson
Building solutions in SharePoint isn’t simply about getting the functionality right based on the business requirements. Developers must think about the entire user experience (UX), which goes far beyond the technical aspects of the solution. It’s no longer good enough to meet the specifications. We must exceed them in terms of usability. This takes many developers out of their comfort zones and into the messy world of end users. In this interactive session, we’ll discuss questions like:* How should the user feel when they use this piece of functionality?* Will they perceive that this functionality saves them work or creates new work?* How will the functionality compare to what they see on the consumer Web?* How can we use technologies which haven’t historically been considered mainstream SharePoint developer tools (like jQuery and CSS) to make SharePoint feel more like the sites people love? We’ll look at good and bad examples from SharePoint itself as well as specific customizations.
How to be Social with My Sites in SharePoint 2013John Calvert
This document discusses social features in SharePoint 2013 My Sites. It provides an overview of how to use social features like following people, sites, documents and tags, as well as microblogging. It also discusses strategy considerations for an enterprise social implementation, including on-premises vs cloud options and the choices between out of the box social features and third party features. The document demonstrates common social workloads like asking questions and finding information about people. It emphasizes planning adoption, identifying champions, and measuring success for a successful social rollout.
The document discusses using SharePoint to build an intranet solution. It begins by introducing the presenter and their experience with SharePoint. It then lists some common problems with companies lacking an intranet, such as difficulty finding information and communicating across locations. The benefits of an intranet for collaboration, efficiency, and innovation are described. SharePoint is proposed as a solution because it is a widely adopted collaboration platform that can connect different business applications and provide tools for tasks like HR, CRM, and business intelligence. Common challenges with intranet implementations like lack of usage and organizational change are also addressed, along with a phased approach to user adoption through training, measurement, and gamification.

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
