Simple Sentences
Simple Sentences Look at the first text. Underline all the subjects with one line. Underline all the verbs with two lines. How many subjects and how many verbs are there in each sentence?
Subjects in red; verbs in blue Filmmaker George Lucashas changed the film industry in many ways.  Hehas written, directed, and produced some of the best-loved movies of our time. Hehas also made major contributions to modern film technology. At first, Lucasdid not plan to become a filmmaker.  His first dreamwas to become a race car driver.  After a bad accident, however, hedecided to go to college.  In college, Lucas studied movie-making and made a number of student films.  Lucas's third feature film, Star Wars, changed everything.  A seemingly simple story of good versus evil, Star Warsbecame a huge international hit. The movieused new technologies that revolutionized the film industry.  One new technologywas a special computer-assisted camera crane.  Camera operatorsfilmed most of the space fight scenes from the crane.  Lucasis also responsible for the modern THX sound system, which improves the way a movie sounds in theatres.  His latest innovationis the use of digital photography in filmmaking.  To sum up, George Lucas's love of storytelling and his technological innovationshave transformed movie-making forever.
