I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Identify irony.
2. Explain the different types of Irony.
3. Sustain interest in participating in group activity.

Learning Outcome: Identify the different types of irony.
Instructional Materials: video, music, Prezi presentation, laptop, speaker, cartolinas,
colored papers

The teacher will show a video about irony.
C. Lesson Proper
a. Activity
The class will be divided into four (4) groups. Each group will present their activity.
Group 1: Give two (2) examples of verbal irony.
Group 2: Make a role play that shows situational irony.
Group 3: Give two (2) examples of situational irony.
Group 4: Make a role play that shows dramatic irony.

Directions: Read each statement carefully. Identify what kind of irony it is. Write V for
verbal, D for dramatic and S if it is a situational irony.
