- Building you Digital Collection Digitisation of analogue materials Acquisition (or commissioning) of born digital formats. This presentation is designed to set the scene , give a bigger picture so that you can see where all the detail (provided by later speakers) fits in and how it connects. The Ecosystem….the Universe…..all the balls you have to keep in the air when you are planning and implementing a digital collecting and digitisation strategy. This is not as easy as it looks, especially when the scale is large. This is not meant to be read top down , in a clockwise direction. All the planets are linked, aligned, the connections cross the void and the more you have in place, the safer and richer it will be. It is not designed to be a workflow or a directed timeline. Many of these will need to be in place at any one time.
