Several factors contributed to the rise of the Scientific Revolution: 1. The spirit of the Renaissance and Reformation encouraged curiosity, questioning of established authorities, and discovery of new ideas through direct observation rather than religious doctrine alone. 2. New tools like the telescope, microscope, barometer, and thermometer enabled more accurate measurement and study of the natural world. 3. The development and widespread use of the scientific method, including experimentation, mathematical analysis, and repetition of work for verification, established standards for validating new theories based on evidence rather than tradition.
