Preface to first Edition
This is second time that we are arranging a training program in this institution. This time
these notes have been prepared for the convenience of the teachers as well as trainers. The time
period of training has also been increased to four months. The notes are mainly divided into four
sections and this preface helps you in understanding this well.
The first section is out of field and includes lectures of the professionals for developing
basic ideas about education and methodology. It is generalized part of this training in which all
teachers either primary or secondary level would participate. And second section is in field that
includes assignments which should be prepared by attending the lectures of trainers in different
classes. This is the specialized part of the training and teachers only have to attend lectures of
their respective subjects. The third section of this training includes lesson plan. The Supervisor
of their respective subject supervises and guides them as well, in making that lesson plan. All the
teachers of either subject should provide a single lesson plan in English as compulsory subject.
For the approval of lesson plan certain rules have been written which shall be declared at the
time of training. The fourth and last section comprises practical work. During assignments the
candidates have a little participation in the class. This participation increases during lesson plan
and in the practical work the candidate will give full time to the class. His / her work is to be
watched out by his / her supervisor.
Your kind suggestions are always well come. I am thanks full to all of my well wishers
who support me in this work.

Education Systems
A. Early child hood education
Nursery school
Pre kindergarten
Kindergarten
Early child hood education provides a building block for up coming study. It has certain
age limits and different developmental crite areas, which are:
 Nursery (Nursery) level starts form zero to three or up to five years.
 Nursery can be compared with the play ground where a child became familiar with the
standards of education, teachers, curriculum, assessments and school.
 The student who is late to attend the kindergarten provides him help to adjust in being a
part of school.
 Personal, social, emotional development of child.
 Playing and team work.
 Talking power, scientific thinking and mathematical awareness.
 Kindergarten (Pre kindergarten for KG I and Kindergarten for KG II) is German word
means children’s garden.
 During their KG classes the children should be cared off and like a flower in garden.
 Actual work should start from one class, nursery KG classes are only (prep classes) for
preparation for one class.
B. School Education
Important instructions for methodology are discussed earlier in lecture no 4, which states
in detail about the types of education according to the particular age. To understand today’s
lecture one should be very well aware whatever discussed in previous lectures. The procedure for
Nursery KG classes is discussed before. From primary to higher sections lecture method is to
be applied. The lectures should include following factors:
 Induce any type of resistance in lecture which may disturb or cause failure to understand
completely.
 Patientness during and after lecture whenever a little or nil result is to be seemed or
when frequent questions asked.
 Grading of students to determine the
gaining percentage of particular child
which makes lecture easy to deliver.
 Frequent questioning from students and
vise versa which enables child to understand
the topic.
 Provide entertainment to students whenever you realize that they are bored. Extra classes
for that purpose are also included in the curriculum. Detail will come in coming lectures.
 Provide better understanding regarding literature. Students should keen to refer library.
 Scientific thinking is the key to understand science well.
A. Pre school learning
Nursery, KG
B. School learning
Primary and high school
11 School Teaching by Dr. Mubasher Solangi
Primary and high school
A high school is modulated in such a way that it produce;
 Successful learners.
 Confident individuals.
 Responsible citizens.
 Effective contributors.
 Students with better efficiency to understand the lecture and practice as such he/she was
taught in his/her life; are successful learners.
 Have equal confidence over educational curriculum as well as the social life in his/her
home (being a son or daughter). Those students can be successful in their practical life.
 Only books cannot make a child as a responsible citizen. Separate education like his
religion helps him to be a responsible citizen. For that purpose no doubt Islam is best
amongst.
 When the students contribute in school work especially during extracurricular activities,
a general feeling for any responsibility in social life is to be produced. Ultimately child
is agreed to contribute in different fields of his/her knowledge.
 The character of the teacher plays an important role. The student also learns whatever
his/her teacher is practicing, but not only his/her teachings.
Montessori education
This system of education is formulated by an Italian Maria Montessori in 1897.
According to this system education with the help of modules and materials rather than only
instructions is called as Montessori education.

Teaching methodology
In pedagogy different tools are used to educate students at different levels of age.
 Modern demonstration skills should be used for lectures which makes the session more
interesting to understand.
 Demonstration should be gradual so that students can easily understand
 Lectures should end at the given time.

 Level of students should be kept in mind when delivering the lecture.
 Nature of student is to be identified and provide equal learning opportunity to each
student.
 Students can learn from lecture, demonstration, presentation, assignment, practical and

 Debate is two way learning, which is not a part of pedagogy, but debate in between
students may help them to understand things.
 Different students with different learning abilities are treated accordingly.
 Students also learn from attitude and behavior of teacher, way of delivering and

This time these notes have been prepared for the convenience of the teachers as well as trainers. The time period of training has also been increased to four months. The notes are mainly divided into four sections and this preface helps you in understanding this well. The first section is out of field and includes lectures of the professionals for developing basic ideas about education and methodology. It is generalized part of this training in which all teachers either primary or secondary level would participate. And second section is in field that includes assignments which should be prepared by attending the lectures of trainers in different classes. This is the specialized part of the training and teachers only have to attend lectures of their respective subjects. The third section of this training includes lesson plan. The Supervisor of their respective subject supervises and guides them as well, in making that lesson plan. All the teachers of either subject should provide a single lesson plan in English as compulsory subject. For the approval of lesson plan certain rules have been written which shall be declared at the time of training. The fourth and last section comprises practical work. During assignments the candidates have a little participation in the class. This participation increases during lesson plan and in the practical work the candidate will give full time to the class. His / her work is to be watched out by his / her supervisor. Your kind suggestions are always well come. I am thanks full to all of my well wishers who support me in this work. Dr. Mubasher Solangi PRINCIPAL The technique of training is changed to previous one, time period is also reduced to one month…….. see introduction.

  • 11. 11 School Teaching by Dr. Mubasher Solangi Primary and high school A high school is modulated in such a way that it produce;  Successful learners.  Confident individuals.  Responsible citizens.  Effective contributors.  Students with better efficiency to understand the lecture and practice as such he/she was taught in his/her life; are successful learners.  Have equal confidence over educational curriculum as well as the social life in his/her home (being a son or daughter). Those students can be successful in their practical life.  Only books cannot make a child as a responsible citizen. Separate education like his religion helps him to be a responsible citizen. For that purpose no doubt Islam is best amongst.  When the students contribute in school work especially during extracurricular activities, a general feeling for any responsibility in social life is to be produced. Ultimately child is agreed to contribute in different fields of his/her knowledge.  The character of the teacher plays an important role. The student also learns whatever his/her teacher is practicing, but not only his/her teachings. Montessori education This system of education is formulated by an Italian Maria Montessori in 1897. According to this system education with the help of modules and materials rather than only instructions is called as Montessori education.
