I.Introduction
Klebsiella pneumoniae is a gram negative bacillus enterobacterium coliform. Klebsiella pneumoniae
is a bacterium which is normally found in the human body, but several pathogenic strains cause
infections in the human body. It is a nosocomial bacterium which is resistant to many common
antibiotics. The antibiotic resistant strains are most common and cause the most concern. These
strains are easily spread throughout extended stay hospital patients and to those in community
settings with underlying diseases. Klebsiella pneumoniae is the fourth most common cause of
pneumonia in ICU patients. Research is currently focused on creating new antibiotics to which
Klebsiella pneumoniae is susceptible. Klebsiella pneumoniae is found in several different countries
around the world.
II.Structure and Physiology
The morphology of Klebsiella pneumoniae is a bacillus shaped bacterium, which means it looks
like a rod. This bacterium is also a non motile and Gram negative. This means that wherever the

of the unknown and unexpected is a documentary called Crash of the Century. This documentary

1977, a KLM 747 and a Pan Am 747 were on route to the Gran Canaria International Airport when

small airport in Los Rodeos. In total 5 large aircrafts were diverted to this small regional airport

Berkeley prohibited trade with Indians without permission, and trade was conducted in forts
which were controlled by Berkeley cronies. He sanctioned unprovoked attacks against friendly
tribes, instituted trading restrictions and a general policy of all out war against Indians which he
began in 1675. Indian retaliated by raiding some frontier plantations, one which was owned by
Nathaniel Bacon. Instead of trying to end the wars, Berkeley built defensive forts, which

isolated on the western frontier. They asked for protection against Indian attacks and raids on their
plantations and petitioned for an armed troop. Berkeley denied and then outlawed all such

Indians themselves. He began a march to track hostile Indians, killing friendly Indians by mistake.
