The human relationship to the environment has evolved over time as humans have made
technological advancements and cultural changes. While some may argue that humanity is distant
from nature, that could not be further from the truth. While the human relationship to nature is not
the same as it may have been in the past, humans still rely on nature for their livelihood. Humans
also have a strong impact on nature, and processes which occur in nature, through their actions.
In the last decade, the issue of environmental degradation has become a topic of global concern and
discussion. This discussion is threading together a narrative that helps the public and scholars better
understand the human relationship to the environment. While this push forward in environmental
agenda is a good thing, there needs to be an ongoing dialogue which allows for the understanding
that environmental degradation is not only a risk to a certain biome, but all of the diversity that
exists within a certain region a good example of this being Papua New Guinea.

Ethnicity and race have been used in American society to the point where both words are
indistinguishable from each other. Race is a social construct (Throop, Lecture, 10/8/2015). Race is a
social construct because race is used to differentiate the different ethnic groups from each other.

as one of the biggest pests that has been in the league. Pests in the NHL are players that attempt to

Estampas De La Raza Analysis
Estampas de la Raza is a collection of contributions of Mexican artists work from post 1960
printmaking in the United States. It was originally organized by the McNay Art Museum in San
Antonio, Texas. The exhibition documents from the late 1960s Chicano Movement to the 2000s
confident expressions. The more than 60 prints by 44 artists tells the story of their bicultural
heritage in this country. The exhibition is organized in five different sections that focus on the
different aspects of the Mexican experience here in the United States: Identity, Struggle, Tradition
Memory Culture, and Other voices.
Upon entering the Estampas de la Raza exhibit located in the National Museum of Mexican Art,
you get a warm, almost nostalgic homey feeling. The walls are in those bright, vibrant typical
mexican folklore colors of pinks, greens, oranges, and blues. There are familiar faces all around
the walls waiting to greet you: Che, Frida, La Virgen de Guadalupe. It s truly a wonderful, well
