Landmines are one of the earliest & deadliest devices used in military to destroy
enemy targets. Mines are deployed in various terrains and hence the extraction of mines
could be a challenging task. Under such circumstances, an Unmanned Ground Vehicle
(UGV) with a rocker bogie mechanism would be able to accomplish the given task. Hence,
a UGV with rocker bogie mechanism has been designed for the purpose of landmine
extraction. The designed UGV is driven by two motors. One motor mounted to the wheels
is responsible for the linear movement and the other is responsible for the steering. The
rocker bogie mechanism is a six wheel standard design which acts as the suspension
system that works in tandem with the differential and helps in rolling and maneuvering of
the UGV in all terrains. The robotic arms and end effectors are designed for the extraction
of the land mine. The End effector has two tools viz. drill bit and robotic grip. The drill
bit helps in drilling all around the mine and the grip picks up the mine from the pit. The
UGV is designed based on various design calculations and modelled using Autodesk
Fusion 360 Software. The 3D model is further analyzed using Ansys Workbench software
by simulating the various loads acting on the critical joints. At the end of the study it was
found that the designed model did not prove any kind of failure during the simulations

IRJET-Design and Development of Three Link Suspension System for a Quad Bike
This document describes the design and simulation of a three-link independent rear suspension system for an all-terrain quad bike. The three-link system was designed to provide high rolling stiffness while keeping weight low. Various link geometries were iterated in CREO software to minimize changes to camber, wheelbase and track width during suspension travel. Dynamics simulations in Lotus Shark evaluated performance factors like camber change and roll gradient. ANSYS was used to analyze link stresses. Calculations determined the suspension ride rates and roll stiffness met requirements for an off-road vehicle. The final three-link design improved vehicle stability over traditional dependent suspensions while maintaining sufficient wheel travel.

enemy targets. Mines are deployed in various terrains and hence the extraction of mines
could be a challenging task. Under such circumstances, an Unmanned Ground Vehicle
(UGV) with a rocker bogie mechanism would be able to accomplish the given task. Hence,
a UGV with rocker bogie mechanism has been designed for the purpose of landmine
extraction. The designed UGV is driven by two motors. One motor mounted to the wheels
is responsible for the linear movement and the other is responsible for the steering. The
rocker bogie mechanism is a six wheel standard design which acts as the suspension
system that works in tandem with the differential and helps in rolling and maneuvering of
the UGV in all terrains. The robotic arms and end effectors are designed for the extraction
of the land mine. The End effector has two tools viz. drill bit and robotic grip. The drill
bit helps in drilling all around the mine and the grip picks up the mine from the pit. The
UGV is designed based on various design calculations and modelled using Autodesk
Fusion 360 Software. The 3D model is further analyzed using Ansys Workbench software
by simulating the various loads acting on the critical joints. At the end of the study it was
found that the designed model did not prove any kind of failure during the simulations

the load carrying capacity of magnetic bearings has been proposed. To exemplify the design procedure,
analyses of various configurations of magnetic bearings have been presented. To economize the magnetic
bearings, usage of easily available square magnets in stator made of aluminium has been proposed.
Finally, a case study has been included to illustrate the design of magnetic bearing.

IRJET-Design and Development of Three Link Suspension System for a Quad Bike
This document describes the design and simulation of a three-link independent rear suspension system for an all-terrain quad bike. The three-link system was designed to provide high rolling stiffness while keeping weight low. Various link geometries were iterated in CREO software to minimize changes to camber, wheelbase and track width during suspension travel. Dynamics simulations in Lotus Shark evaluated performance factors like camber change and roll gradient. ANSYS was used to analyze link stresses. Calculations determined the suspension ride rates and roll stiffness met requirements for an off-road vehicle. The final three-link design improved vehicle stability over traditional dependent suspensions while maintaining sufficient wheel travel.

The ROBO MAT is an autonomous mapping tool developed for General Atomics to measure deterioration in railgun bores. It uses four 3D-printed rollers attached to a chassis to traverse the bore length in under 30 minutes, avoiding heavy sludge buildup along corners. A Raspberry Pi controls motors that drive the bottom rollers and records data from a tracer wheel and camera, storing bore images on an SD card. While not tested in an actual railgun, it mapped a fabricated bore model effectively.

Smoke evacuation in industrial building
Smoke occurs as a result of solid and liquid particles carried in the air from the burning of materials created
from the combustion of gases. A dark colored smoke screen is formed. It may be toxic and explosive which make
evacuation and responding to the fire more difficult. All these problems can be overcome with an appropriate
smoke evacuation system. Smoke evacuation systems can be divided into two categories as natural and
mechanical systems. However, they can vary according to needs, the people intensity; materials found in the
structure and area, architectural features and design standards. The modelling based on the scenario planned for
the most appropriate smoke evacuation system was carried out in compliance with international standards and
local regulations. In this study, a vehicle part warehouse belonging to the Oyak Renault automobile factory was
established inexactly the same way as the original. Using the CDF based PHONEICS system it was designed that
a fire broke out in the warehouse and in the design, parking lot fire data were taken into consideration as given
in British Standard (BS) standards ‘Components for smoke and heat control systems’ section 7. Vehicle parts
found in the warehouse were in parallel with vehicles which had installation completed in the parking lot without
a sprinkler. The smoke emerging as a result of the fire, which had an area of 5×5 m2 and 8MW magnitude and
broke out in the warehouse (without sprinkler) whose area and volume were 4680m2 and 37206m3 respectively,
was tested with 6 smoke evacuation fans activated at the beginning of the fire. The Total Fan capacity was
designed as 10 volume/hour and 15 volume/hour, evaluated according to the maximum CO amount, vision and

Curiosity Rover
The Curiosity rover is a rover spacecraft launched by NASA in 2011 to study the planet Mars. It landed successfully in Gale crater on August 6, 2012. The rover body, also called the warm electronics box or WEB, protects the rover's computer and electronics from the harsh Martian environment, keeping its vital systems protected and at a stable temperature. The rover has taken many photos during its over 4 years on Mars, helping reveal details about the planet's sandy and rocky surface, though it has only traveled about 20 km across the Martian terrain.

The Rocker-Bogie Mobility system was designed to be used at slow speeds. It is capable of
overcoming obstacles that are on the order of the size of a wheel. However, when surmounting a
sizable obstacle, the vehicles motion effectively stops while the front wheel climbs the obstacle.
When operating at low speed (greater than 10cm/second), dynamic shocks are minimized when
this happens. For many future planetary missions, rovers will have to operate at human level
speeds (~1m/second). Shocks resulting from the impact of the front wheel against an obstacle
could damage the payload or the vehicle. This paper describes a method of driving a rockerbogie vehicle so that it can effectively step over most obstacles rather than impacting and
climbing over them. Most of the benefits of this method can be achieved without any
mechanical modification to existing designs – only a change in control strategy. Some

This document analyzes the use of virtual outriggers in an 80-story building to reduce lateral displacement and drift under seismic loads. A building model was created and conventional outriggers were added at different heights to determine the optimum positions. Virtual outriggers were then modeled which connect the core to the belt truss through rigid floor slabs instead of physical beams. Response spectrum analysis showed virtual outriggers reduced maximum displacement by 31% and drift by 34% compared to the bare frame. Different belt truss configurations were also analyzed, with X-bracing found to be most effective. Virtual outriggers were found to help resist progressive collapse by distributing gravity loads.

The objective of this research paper is to design a control system to optimize the operating works of the gantry crane system. The dynamic model of the gantry crane system is derived in terms of trolley position and payload oscillation, which is highly nonlinear. The crane system should have the capability to transfer the material to destination end with desired speed along with reducing the load oscillation, obtain expected trolley position and preserving the safety. Proposed controlling method is based on the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller with a series differential compensator to control the swinging of the payload and the system trolley movement in order to perform the optimum utilization of the gantry crane. Standard sine cosine optimization algorithm is one of the most-recent optimization techniques based on a stochastic algorithm was presented to tune the PID controller with a series differential compensator. Furthermore, the considered optimization algorithm is modified in order to overcome the inherent drawbacks and solve complex benchmark test functions and to find the optimal design's parameters of the proposed controller. The simulation results show that the modified sine cosine optimization algorithm has better global search performance and exhibits good computational robustness based on test functions. Moreover, the results of testing the gantry crane model reveal that the proposed controller with standard and modified algorithms is effective, feasible and robust in achieving the desired requirements.

: Gears are used to transmit motion from on shaft to another and it has wide variety of applications. One of the applications of gear is in automobile gear box. Gears generally fail when the working stress exceeds the maximum permissible stress. These stresses are proportional to the amount of power transmitted by the gears. This project intends to identify the magnitude of the stresses for a given configuration of a two wheeler gears transmitting power while trying to find ways for reducing weight of the gear. The philosophy for driving this work is the lightness of the gear for a given purpose while keeping intact its functionality thus reducing the material cost of the gear. Ease of incorporating the new feature for weight reduction over the existing process of manufacturing and the magnitude of volume of weight reduced could be considered as the key parameters for assessment for this work.

The MLP supports heavy launch vehicles inside the Vehicle Assembly Building until launch. It is modeled as a quarter structure due to symmetry and analyzed for stress and deflection. The maximum von-Mises stress was found to be 121 MPa and maximum deflection was 3.94 mm. These results were validated by comparing to an earlier analysis, finding less than 5% variation. The static analysis can be used for future weight optimization of the MLP.

The formula cars need high tire grip on racing challenge by reducing rolling displacement at corner or
double change lands. In this case study, the paper clarifies some issues related to suspension system with
inerter to reduce displacement and rolling angle under impact from road disturbance on Formula SAE
Car. We propose some new designs, which have an advance for suspension system by improving dynamics.
We optimize design of model based on the minimization of cost functions for roll dynamics, by reducing the
displacement transfer and the energy consumed by the inerter. Base on a passive suspension model that we
carried out quarter-car and half-car model for different parameters which show the benefit of the inerter.
The important advantage of the proposed solution is its integration a new mechanism, the inerter, this
system can increase advance in development and have effects on the vehicle dynamics in stability vehicle.

DEEP LEARNING FOR SMART GRID INTRUSION DETECTION: A HYBRID CNN-LSTM-BASED MODEL
As digital technology becomes more deeply embedded in power systems, protecting the communication
networks of Smart Grids (SG) has emerged as a critical concern. Distributed Network Protocol 3 (DNP3)
represents a multi-tiered application layer protocol extensively utilized in Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition (SCADA)-based smart grids to facilitate real-time data gathering and control functionalities.
Robust Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are necessary for early threat detection and mitigation because
of the interconnection of these networks, which makes them vulnerable to a variety of cyberattacks. To
solve this issue, this paper develops a hybrid Deep Learning (DL) model specifically designed for intrusion
detection in smart grids. The proposed approach is a combination of the Convolutional Neural Network
(CNN) and the Long-Short-Term Memory algorithms (LSTM). We employed a recent intrusion detection
dataset (DNP3), which focuses on unauthorized commands and Denial of Service (DoS) cyberattacks, to
train and test our model. The results of our experiments show that our CNN-LSTM method is much better
at finding smart grid intrusions than other deep learning algorithms used for classification. In addition,
our proposed approach improves accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score, achieving a high detection
accuracy rate of 99.50%.

and saves images of friends and family members. The system scans this folder to recognize familiar faces
and provides real-time monitoring. If an unfamiliar face is detected, it promptly sends an email alert,

Bogies were commonly used as load wheels in the tracks of army tanks as idlers distributing the load over the terrain. Bogies were also quite commonly used on the trailers of semi trailer trucks. Both applications now prefer trailing arm suspensions. Rovers will continue to play an important role in planetary exploration. Plans include the use of the rocker-bogie rover configuration. Here, models of the mechanics of this configuration are presented. Methods for solving the inverse kinematics of the system and quasi-static force analysis are described. Experimental results confirm the validity of the models. Here we are providing this mechanism by providing two different angles to the four joints of bogie, due to the structure of this project this bogie can cross any obstacles easily. We have used acrylic material to fabricate this project and large diameter wheels with heavy grip to travel this bogie using DC motors.
