The Influence Of NASA
Have you ever looked up into the night sky and contemplated the many wonders and splendors that
abound our universe? If you have then you might have also noticed that our universe doesn t only
consist of the splendidness that we can see with our eyes alone, but with many other mysteries that we
have yet not solved. In addition, as humans it has always been our nature to be curious and therefore,
it has also been our greatest avidity to explore and discover things that are foreign to us. For instance,
to many people it has become a significant objective to go beyond the impossible, sometimes in the
pursuit to try and gain a greater perception of not only the world we live in, but also of the things that
exist around us. In addition, as people s passion to learn about space has enlarged, many space groups
and administrations have flourished. Thus many people have began to take on the role to try and go
beyond the limits of the planet we live in, in other words, explore space. However, time has shown
that in order to reach such achievements, great amounts of money are needed. Furthermore, over the
past few years the U.S has been contributing to one of the world s largest air and spacecraft
administration, otherwise known as NASA by funding money to it. In addition, it has been these
contributions that have led to its many discoveries, which have taken part of our lives in one way or
another. Therefore, as NASA s discoveries have extended and taken on different areas, the

Maraya s Accomplishments
Most people search their whole lives to find out who they are. I am not one of those people. My names
Maraya, and since second grade I have had my whole life planned out. Now, I am a senior in high
school and still chasing the imagined idea of my second grade self, and finalized my fifth grade year,
to become a professional glassblower. Along my journey I have participated in multiple things
including dance, art classes, and track. These activities have improved the possibility of me
succeeding in my field. Dance for coordination, art classes for a wider spectrum of art, forensics for
sales, and track for endurance. Coordination, art skills, and endurance are something that I plan to
bring to college along with me. Art competitions help develop art skills. Placing in art competitions

they started watering so bad that I could not see for a couple minutes. Holding 2,000 degree glass on

Organizational Leadership Essay
As technology accelerates the speed of change, shortens product life cycles, and increases
competition, companies have struggled to keep pace, remain relevant, and develop sustainable
competitive advantages. As a result, companies have come to the conclusion that maximizing the
contributions of their human capital must be a critical component of their strategy to acquire and
sustain a competitive advantage in today s global marketplace (Lyte, 2016). Therefore, in an effort to
increase employee engagement and maximize employee contributions to the organization group

organizations has concluded, the impact of the manager is one of the most robust insights Gallup has
ever discovered and are among the most important drivers of long term organizational success (Rigoni
Nelson, 2016).
Nevertheless, locating or developing leaders that can elicit and sustain high levels of engagement from
employees is challenging to say the least and the impact of failing to select or develop effective
leaders can have catastrophic impacts to an organization. As a result, given this challenge, along with
the complex and rapidly changing nature of the global marketplace, some cutting edge business
leaders have surmised the traditional hierarchical organizational leadership structure can no longer
sufficiently engage employees in a manner that enables organizations to keep pace with the speed of
change. Consequently, several prominent organizations, such as, Zappos, Morning Star, and W.L.

Missing Stuff Case Study
Case of the Missing Stuff
Martin has been presented recently by several property challenges all at once. Each of these
challenges have relevant legal components that Martin should consider in determining the course of
action that he needs to take to come to some resolution. Additionally, there are considerations from a
spiritual perspective that will guide Martin through this time, and that will help him gain the peace and
clarity that he needs to move forward. Each of these areas will be explored in this discussion,
providing specific legal concepts, biblical scripture, and some advice for Martin based on the
information that has been presented.

he can prove that the above mentioned standard was not met. Another possible point to be pursued is
the tracking and validation of the car s VIN. If Martin reported the stolen vehicle, and the VIN was
listed as a stolen vehicle, it might be suggested that the dealer did not perform the proper due diligence
to verify that the car had a clean title, and not listed as a stolen vehicle with the authorities (ncleg.net,

Argument Against Adoption
Two weeks after the abortion, I went into labor. I staggered into the bathroom. And there, with my
husband beside me, I delivered a part of my baby the doctor had missed. It was the head of my baby. .

legal in most cases. Many people who have had an abortion regret it and even if they don t it is
murder.
Mothers who murder their unborn child in the justification that it is only a potential lifeform that isn t

College Essay About Tulane
New Orleans is a city that has always been immensely fascinating to me. I love that every street corner
is teeming with culture and excitement. I have been visiting New Orleans ever since I was a young
child and I love it. The energy of the city is so uplifting and inspiring. Earlier this year when I first
learned about Tulane, I was ecstatic and couldn t wait to apply. My hometown of Austin, Texas is also
a city filled to the brim with life and culture, but it is so different from New Orleans. Attending Tulane
would be a major challenge for me but one that I would be extremely willing to take on. I would be
exposed to so many new things and would be forced to step out of my comfort zone. It would be a
thrilling opportunity to live in such a unique city during a time when I am exploring who I am. I
particularly love how Tulane incorporates the local culture into school activities. The crawfish boils
and Mardi Gras traditions are things that I have not been exposed to in Texas, and I would be excited
to experience them at Tulane.

Lack Of Reason In Lord Of The Flies, By William Golding
Lack of Reason and Increasing Savagery
Human nature is complex, filled with unpredictability and flaws. As seen in Lord of the Flies, by
William Golding, the darker side of humanity is revealed in times of survival and conflict. Throughout
the novel, the boys on the island become increasingly barbaric and violent when they are faced with
dire situations. Through the escalating tension surrounding the symbolic nature of Piggy s glasses and
its representation of the boys rationality, William Golding conveys the message that lack of reason
brings out the innate savage side of human nature.
Piggy s glasses are symbolic of the boys humane side and their reason. At the start of the novel, the
boys on the island seem to be pleasant people and they understand the importance of starting a signal
fire to be rescued. The boys are rational and are fighting for survival. The glasses are still in tact; they
are going to be used to help the boys create a signal fire. Ralph speaks to the boys, exclaiming His
specs use them as burning glasses! (Golding 40), showing that they want to return to society because
they are using their resources at hand to start a fire and be rescued. They still have reason due to the
fact they try to send a signal for rescue and would rather be rescued than accept a new life on the
island. The glasses are in one piece, symbolizing their rationality is present and held together at the
beginning of their journey. The low tension is among the boys and who

Factors Caused By Recreational Scuba Diving And Snorkeling...
Globally, marine ecosystems, in particular, coral reefs, are experiencing increasing pressure due to the
growth in recreational scuba diving, and snorkeling. Pressure refers to the frequency, and quantity of
divers, and dive boats on any particular reef. This pressure often results in damage to the reef, and is
caused by divers, snorkelers, and even dive boat anchors, and anchor lines, furthermore, this damage
takes significant time to repair, due to the rate at which coral grows, and repairs itself. Although this
damage is not irreparable, continual pressure by recreational dive and snorkeling industries, can lead
to damage beyond the reef s ability to recover. Damaged reefs result in loss of sea life, vibrancy, and
color, the primary draw for divers, snorkelers, and other marine enthusiasts. Consequently, this
damage extends to the economies of the local communities, in which water related activities are a
primary source of revenue. To sustain these local communities economies, and tourist enjoyment,
private SCUBA organizations can coordinate, and facilitate options to reduce the recreational damage
of the ocean s reef system through education, artificial reef attractions, and alternative dive programs.
SCUBA diving is a growing, and global recreational sport, with one certification agency, PADI,
claiming an annual average of 900,000 new diver certifications globally . Of course, not all of these
new divers will continue on to become frequent, or repeat divers, however,

A Brief Note On The Attack Recovery Plan
Radiological Attack Recovery Plan Thesis Statement: It is essential for all the bodies of authority as
well as the public to have a proper plan to mitigate the impacts caused by a possible radiological
attack exposure. The local, public, and national emergency preparedness in responding to a
radiological detonation could lead to saving of many lives. 1. Introduction I. Define radiological
emergency, causes and effects of radiological emergency, areas prone to radiological emergencies A
radiological emergency is an emergency in which there is or there seems to be a hazard due to
radiation exposure from a radioactive source. This may result from a variety of reasons such as
uncontrolled sources, misuse of equipment or malicious acts. Although there has been no successful
terrorist attack has happened in the US since 9/11, terrorism experts are wary that one is likely to
occur in the near future. Numerous terrorism plans of various proportions have been foiled in the US.
These include plans to detonate radiological dispersal devices (RDD) (Eggen Sxhmidt, 2002). Al
Qaeda has expressed intent to obtain and use nuclear devices in the United States with Osama bin
Laden having declared it a duty on Muslims to acquire nuclear devices (Ferguson et al, 2004,
Lawrence, 2005). Although nuclear attacks are way too complicated for terrorists a simpler equally
psychologically effective means exists. The use of radio active materials on various soft targets offers
cost and simplicity

Large Aircraft Essays
The A 380 is becoming more popular as airlines look for ways to move the maximum amount of
passengers for the least money (Stafford, 2006). The A380 is made in passenger or freight versions.
The A380 800 is the largest passenger plane in the world. When passenger areas are divided into three
classes, the A380 can seat 550 passengers. When the entire plane is designated economy class, it can
seat 853 people. There is 50% more cabin floor space than the Boeing 747 because the A380s upper
deck goes the entire length of the fuselage ( Airbus a380 airfield, 2011). In 2010 there were already

According to FAA Order 5300, airports may submit Modifications of Standard (MOS) requests for
review of non standard compliance items as long as safety is not compromised . Making modification
would be much less expensive and less time consuming for the airports that are able to do them. Some
design standards to allow for safe use of the A380 include blast pad dimensions to be 250 x 400 feet (
Airbus a380 airfield, 2011).
Many smaller airports will not be able to fit the larger airbus and the A380 will be limited to only the
large, hub airports better able to accommodate them. Smaller airports may have to be used as feeder
airports that will connect passengers to the large airports and the A380s. This could be a problem of
increased congestion with the existing slot system if more connecting flights are needed and there are
no more gates available or slot time (Ruehle, Goetsch, Koch, 2006).
At this time intercontinental routes use the hub and spoke system. This method allows airlines to
bundle an increased number of passengers on the flights. The draw back is that it also leads to a more
complex feeder flight schedule. Those airports with the facilities and room to support the airbuses
would then become hubs for those aircraft flights. To be profitable and fill enough seats, airports with
the most potential passengers would need to be paired for flights. Any delay or cancellation would
have a domino effect, costing more

The Importance Of Motivation In Education
Education is the key to eliminate gender discrimination, to decrease poverty, to foster social peace in
our communities and to create a sustainable development. But, how can we encourage our children to
study effectively? In other words, how can we prepare them for success? Motivation is the secret
behind student success. Motivation helps to explain why some children get impressive education
results despite poverty, while others get ordinary results despite highly sophisticated teaching
methods. Which factors affecting students motivation? And how it works in the lives of girls and
boys? Despite the fact that girls outperform their male peers, and hyper control of girls acts as a kind
of motivator which makes them study harder than boys, boys are not defective. Motivation is the main
factor which is shaped by parents and teachers. In many Middle Eastern public schools; elements have
cooperated together to create an educational system which is not appropriate for anyone but
particularly not for boys. Boys feel like their teachers do not care about them, and they had
experienced a worse relationship with their teachers. Also, they reported physical punishment which
had been occurred at school. Moreover, boys have their own society which aims to enforce their
masculinity away from classrooms and academic goals that is why they lose their motivation to study
hard. This is the topic that Amanda Ripley (2017) focuses on in her article Boys are not defective . In
her article Ripley (2017) discusses that male teachers practices have a negative effect on boys
motivation. They do not care about boys well performance, tend to punish them physically and shout
at them. In addition, the notions of masculinity among boys make them feel like schools will not help
them to reach manhood. My firm conviction is those worse relationships between boys and teachers,
insulting and corporal punishment and the internal desire of students to achieve their manhood outside
classrooms; this would affect badly on their motivation, and would decrease their academic
performance.
I am totally agree with the author since teachers are one of the major factors which stands behind boys
performance, and teachers mistreatment towards boys

Neocortex Cell Types
The density of the cell types of the neocortex is varied from layer to layer. The main types of cells in
the cerebral cortex are the pyramidal, granular and fusiform neurons. Martinotti and horizontal type
cells are fewer than others.
Molecular layer I is, also called plexiform layer, located closest to the pial surface of the brain. This
layer has few neuron bodies. It contains many nuclei which belong to glia cells, myelinated fibers and
few neurons of granular and horizontal neurons of Cajal. It consists almost all axonal and dendritic
branching.
External granular layer II is known as an outer granular layer, contains small granular(Golgi type II
cells) and pyramidal neurons. Granular type neurons divided into two distinct types. One is Golgi type
II. It has short axons that reach close to neuron body. The Golgi type I has long axons that reach far
from the body. Its axons go up to the cortical surface where it can make various axonal and dendritic

John F. Kennedy Compared to Martin Luther King Jr.

The On Health Care Delivery
The Alma Ata Declaration of 1978 had significant consequences on health care delivery in Australia,

Public participation in PHC refers to a right and responsibility to engage in one s health (Downey
Westera, 2009). Public participation on the individual s behalf is essential, as inadequate involvement
could result in unsuitable referral or the absence of PHC itself. Westera (2009) outlines the necessity
of community participation, referring to Local Health Advisory Committees (LHAC) (Downey
Westera, 2009) considered as the central connection between the local community and health service
attitudes (NSW Health, n.d). Through such involvement, PHC can be specialised to specific
communities, addressing strengths and issues (Downey Westera, 2009), whilst empowering local
members through their contributions (NSW Health, n.d.).
Empowerment may also arise through health promotion, being defined as activities which help
individuals and communities to increase control over the determinants of their health (AIHW, 2014).
According to Westera (2009), patient teaching is integral to health promotion, involving the

Analysis Of Pygmalion By George Bernard Shaw
An Analysis of the English class system in Pygmalion
Throughout the play, Pygmalion, by George Bernard Shaw, many of the characters represent different
social class structures. They also resemble how the higher class citizens feel threatened by the lower
class citizens. Protagonist Eliza Doolittle, Henry Higgins, and Mrs. Pearce are prime examples of
characters who portray different roles in the Victorian social structure. This play takes place during the
Victorian period in England where the upper , middle, and lower class were at different stages. This
social system was not meant for lower class to move up and down the hierarchy. If someone was born
poor they would most likely die poor. Especially women in the class system were not able to move up
in the class system without their husbands. Through the book many characters break these traditional
norms, represent the ideas of the class system, and act as a model for the upper class.
Many of the characters represent different social class structures. Eliza would be a threat to the upper
class because her intent is to move from lower to upper class. In the beginning Eliza was just a dirty
flower girl on the street with no money and Higgins says, She is no doubt as clean as she can afford to
be; but compared to the ladies she is very dirty. Her features are no worse than theirs; but their
condition leaves something to be desired; and she needs the services of a dentist (129). Here Eliza is

The Pros And Cons Of Artificial Intelligence
Although there are many threats and worries with Artificial Intelligence there are also many benefits
that can outweigh the negatives. Our society is already experiencing this technology in vehicles that
have auto sensing and braking capabilities. Another really intriguing feature of AI would be faster and
more accurate web searches. I believe being able to provide information instantly will further improve
lives and the business world, since time is money. Today we call artificial intelligence narrow artificial
intelligence which means artificial intelligence that is weak. Google is an example of narrow artificial
intelligence that we use every day. Other examples of narrow artificial intelligence include ATMs and
touchless car washes, they are designed to execute a set of tasks. Whereas AI can learn set tasks and
create new tasks based on its intuition and ability to think and problem solve for itself. What s in store
for Artificial intelligence within the next 5 years (believe me a lot can happen with technology in 5
years)? 3 D printers, IOT (internet of things), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) are

What Is Tony A Hero
Tony Ede, a volunteer, has experienced the happiness that people get from the volunteering. From
helping people through hard times as a pastor, saving lives as a volunteer EMT, and helping the
homeless, Tony is a real hero to people in Delaware County. Growing up Tony had many positive
influences as a child. One of the heavier influences was his pastor. He believes that what makes a hero
is what examples people have while growing up. His pastor was very engaging with the people at the
church. His pastor would call on people to answer questions during the service. One week his pastor
had to go tend to some family issues. The pastor asked Tony if he could lead the service while he was
gone. Tony said yes and lead the sermon. Doing this made him realize that being a pastor was fun and
he decided to become one. He attended a Lutheran College near Minneapolis. He graduated and got
married. He moved to Iowa after working at a church there, and has been in Manchester, Iowa for ...

He didn t get involved in the best way possible though. His grandpa and dad both volunteered in their
community as firefighters. While he was picking up rocks with them, he saw a rock that they had
missed. Thinking he would be fine, Tony jumped off the tractor to pick the rock up. The wheels caught
his legs and he got dragged into the tractor s axle. He broke both of his legs and could have died if it
wasn t for all of the community working together to help get him out of the axle. Seeing the
community jumping to his rescue; he saw, first hand, how the fire department helped people. As an
EMT, Tony is usually the first arriving on the patient, and [is] the eyes and ears of the scene (Maria
Zagorulya). Since Tony is a pastor; he doesn t get called out too often. The calls are usually just minor
things such as a small car accident. Watching people has helped Tony to understand that helping

Arranged Marriage In America
Americans should consider a less conventional way of meeting a potential partner that would one day
be their future husband/wife. An arranged marriage is another option people should consider when
finding a person to settle down with. Such arrangement is not forcing anyone into marriage instead it
is a mutual decision. A professor of Sociology conducted a study that showed 35% of 200 married
couples in America would press a button that could dissolve their marriage if they were given the
chance to (Folsom 1). Marriages that suffer a serious dissatisfaction are due to the premature
knowledge of their spouse and impulsive actions. It is safe to say, that over one half of all marriages in
the United States are unhappy. Thus, Americans should ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Agreeing to an arranged marriage is no different from going online and signing up for matchmaking
services or online dating sites. In fact, since 2013 online dating sites have tripled for adults in their
20s, 40s and 50s. With the use of technology, people can register online to dating sites, and after
including their values and interests, they get instant results on their perfect match. This process is no
different from having parents and family members introduce a person to their son/daughter. Online
dating sites are an evasion of privacy. It requires for members to have personal information available
for thousands of people to see true or false. In addition, online dating sites require for the person to do
their own research to find someone. This may easily again lead to a relationship based purely on
physical attractiveness and information that may be false, instead of the foundation of a successful
relationship (Chapdelaine et al.

The Separation Of Church And State
Government is the political direction and control exercised over the actions of the members, citizens,
and inhabitants of communities, societies, and states. While documents have been written to help the
leaders of our country, there is constant debate over what changes need to be made. Some believe that
the country is falling apart while others think minor adjustments need to be made. The separation of
church and state is also a topic of debate. The question of what needs to be changed and where
religion falls in all of this are always questions on the table, but what I know for certain is that the
government always has room for growth.
While guides have been created throughout American history to help the future leaders of the United

Freedom to express your religion is something that I feel God would want anyone to take away from
the Bible. The Lord created each one of us differently. We all have different faces, characteristics, and
personalities. God wants us to be happy here on earth and commanding everyone to be fit into a
certain mold does just the opposite. He understands that we may not believe in him or that it is hard to
comprehend something that is you cannot see. Giving us the freedom to choose our own religious path
helps us to find ourselves. We learn from the mistakes and may ultimately choose Christianity in the
end. As long as there is no harm to yourself or the people around you the choice is yours. The equal
treatment of all religions, races, and genders is also a vital part of a proper functioning government. In
the past when one religion has been put on a pedestal the outcome has been horrific. The people in the
superior group feel entitled to do horrific things to those who do not fall into the specific category.
God loves all his children equally and never treated one different from another. When Jesus was here
on earth there were other religions. He did not treat the people following the other religions cruelly,
but showed them the word of God instead. The followers of Christianity often feel conflicted about
following any authority besides God. It is conflicting, but there are several verses in the Bible

What Was The Difference Between The Industrial Revolution...
Industrial revolution is a better and innovative method or process of producing industrial and
manufacturing goods in the period between 1770 and 1840. It is an incredible period of transition and
transformation that bring about abundant in production of goods in both industrial and manufacturing
sector of the economy. It is the new age of machines and chemicals that help to transform the way
goods are produce, thereby increasing productivity and production line. It is a period of increasing
efficiency in the way machines are use to produce goods and more importantly increase in the volume
of goods being produce in the production line. It is a period of increasing use of steam power and
machinery tools which makes it easy and efficient to produce goods at such a staggering rate in those
days. For example the textile industries are able to change the mode of production and volume of
production through the introduction of the cotton gin. According to historians, the introduction of the
cotton gin helps to remove seed from cotton at the rate of more than 50 factor and various invention in

Levis Summary Chapter 12
During the last half of the book, Levi appears to do whatever would give him an advantage in his fight
to survive within the lager. Levi would periodically describe events where he would perform some
morally questionable act without any hesitation. When discussing his plans to steal from the
laboratory he was just appointed to, Levi states ... I know that if one wants to steal and seriously sets
one s mind to it, no supervision and no searchings can prevent it (Levi 140). Levi makes it clear to the
reader that these actions have a motivation. He is not stealing for the thrill of stealing, he s doing so to
gain an infinitesimally small advantage within the camp. One of the more jarring moments occurred in
the last chapter when Primo and his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He feels upset that Kuhn still holds on to the idea that God is helping him, after all that s happened.
Last time in class we discussed how Judaism revolves around the idea that the Jewish people have a
covenant with God. Levi, having spent months in the lager at this point, appears to be questioning this
holy covenant, and furthermore, the existence of his god. I think Levi is particularly upset around the
nature of the prayer. Kuhn appears to be giving thanks, even though many had just been selected for
death. In such a dark moment, Levi wonders how anyone can give thanks, or how can one believe that
God is truly helping them while abandoning everyone else? It s a justifiable question: Where was God
when the others were sentenced to death? Levi follows up with If I was God, I would spit at Kuhn s
prayer (Levi 130). Levi is essentially stating that if he was God, he wouldn t let Kuhn believe that he
is receiving help because Levi truthfully believes he isn t. He would make sure that Kuhn understood
that he wouldn t find help in God and he must look elsewhere. Levi feels abandoned by his God and
thinks that if he is going to survive, he must make it happen himself. In Levi s mind he, along with
every other prisoner, is on their

shaggy beard, big eyes, the thick eyebrows, tall nose, and small lip. It wears a belt, and has five legs. A
belt on the waist signifies power. Their heads are crowned with the horned caps typical of deities
throughout the ancient Near East. At the facade of this sculpture, it appears to stand firmly in place.
But at the side of this sculpture, it is striding forward. It was carved in colossal size, and placed as a

The Great Depression Of The 1930s
The Great Depression of the 1930s is notably one of the greatest crises of American history. During
this time frame the American economy collapsed in great part because of factors such as the existence
of massive wealth inequality, the dust bowl that started in the Great Plains, and the rampant business
speculation of the 1920 s. These factors helped turn an awful economic depression into what would be
called an all out social crisis. Bread lines and soup kitchens became a common occurrence in
American cities. Thousands of families were evicted from their homes everyday, and took to the
streets hoping for some type of assistance. Throughout this time of struggle many American citizens
took to writing the white house and its officials in an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The men of the family were less likely to write the white house because of their fear of being looked
at as weak or incapable of providing for their family. This fear is shown in several of the letters,
including a letter written by a mother to President Roosevelt. In the letter the mother asks for money
to help feed her family and concludes the letter with stating, if my husban new this he could Kill me.
In chapter three of the text by McElvaine there is a letter that stands as an example of a female
American citizen pleading to the first lady for clothes. However, what differentiates this letter from the
majority is that this individual is not asking for her family, but asking of a spring coat for herself. In
this letter the woman by the name of Mrs. J.T. addresses the first lady at the time, Eleanor Roosevelt,
as My Dear Friend . This intimate greeting supports the idea that the American population at the time
felt as though the Roosevelt s understood the daily struggle of living through the depression. These
citizens were comfortable confiding in them and sharing their hardships. A belief that the government
including the Roosevelt s would provide much needed relief to the country came with this sense of
comfort and intimacy. Not all American citizens, however, wrote to the white house in need of clothes
or money. The Works

Radiation protection is the science of protecting the public and the surrounding atmosphere from the
harmful effects of ionizing radiation (both particle radiation and high energy electromagnetic
radiation).Particle radiation is produced by of very fast moving subatomic particles, where all particles
are moving in the same way, similar to a light beam.
There are three factors that control and minimise the amount, or dose, of radiation received from a
source; time, distance and shielding. The combination of these factors

The Security Industry And Its Effect On Its Functional...
In an essay of no less than 750 words, select an element of technology that you believe has
revolutionized the security industry and justify both its effect and its functional operation.
In the last twenty years, the internet has been much the foundation for all technological advances. It
has served as the basis of how humans and devices communicate with each other, and it has allowed
for the proliferation of converging and emerging technologies. Specifically, the security industry has
benefited from the creation of network products thus eliminating the need for human resources. As
inter connectivity is rapidly expanding and evolving, so to are emerging technological trends and their
applicability to the security industry. As it applies to the revolution of cyber technology, the security
industry may choose to view this element through three lenses internet of things (IoT), social
networking and ethical approaches.
The future of digital marketing and business opportunities will see the emergence of mobile, social,
cloud and information, identified as the Nexus of Forces (Gartner press release, 2014, para.7). These
enterprise groups will be looking at more innovative and creative ways in which to reach the
consumer. Mobile devices and social media will therefore become the likely gateways. Digital
business will focus on the convergence of people, things and business (Gartner press release, 2014).
The IoT is set to transform business and industry over the

Tourette Syndrome Essay
Syndromes do not define who a person is. Tourette s is a syndrome that affects a person s compulsion
control. Dr. Sacks, the neurologist who wrote A Surgeon s Life has an interest in the disorder, and
befriended a surgeon with Tourette s. Tourette Syndrome is a part of a person, but Dr. Bennet shows
that it is not who the person is. Those affected by Tourette Syndrome are most commonly categorized
as having compulsions, or a lack of control over certain words and phrases. They act as one...driven to
do this, to do that, against one s will (1). Specifically, they are afflicted with tics, involuntary
repetition of words and actions, and involuntary cursing. The syndrome is a biopsychosocial disorder:

A thing that helped Dr. Bennet cope was through rhythmic movement, for instance driving a car with
no traffic or riding a stationary bike while reading and smoking a pipe. Along with his nervous tics,
Dr. Bennet suffers from a strange name compulsion where he locks onto a strange name or word and
repeats it for months. He also has violent tendencies, though it should be noted not at other people,
rather he would throw inanimate objects at fridges or kick holes in the wall. Tourette s Syndrome did
not stop Dr. Bennet from being a brilliant surgeon, however, and he is heavily praised by those he s
helped. Dr. Bennet s gifts are remarkable and have even amazed other doctors, for instance, Dr. Sacks.
Dr. Sacks, a neurologist, has had a long standing interest in Tourette and had met Dr. Bennet at a
conference. Sacks was shocked that Bennet was a surgeon, and accepted his invitation to visit his
hometown to see how Bennet coped during his every day life. Dr. Sacks was alarmed by Dr. Bennet s
driving habits who assured him he had never been in a car accident. Sacks continued to observe
Bennet in his work and home life and was astounded by how well Dr. Bennet functioned. He remarked
that there were many odd quirks and he continued to ask the surgeon about his conditions, but by the
end of it he was convinced Tourette did not hinder a person. At least, it did not hinder Dr. Bennet. Dr.
Bennet subdued and hid much of his Tourette originally, but as soon

Family Planning And Birth Control
Family planning is one of the most important choices women or couples can end up deciding on.
When it comes to family planning, timing is pretty much everything. There are some instances when
women have a hard time deciding if they are physically and mentally prepared to bring a child into
this world. This is when pregnancy options come into play, such as whether or not to raise a child, to
what birth control to take, and if abortion or adoption is an option that they might consider. However,
when women are faced with that uncertainty of becoming a mother the topic of birth control is
typically addressed when family planning. Throughout the ages, birth control methods have evolved in
order to provide women with the ability to effectively prevent pregnancy. There are in fact many
different varieties of birth control that help prevent unwanted pregnancies and that don t ultimately
interfere with the physiological changes that occur within a woman s body. The variety of the
available birth control methods and devices allows identification of methods of varying degrees of
effectiveness, mechanism
( preventing fertilization fusion of egg cell and sperm or preventing implantation of a fertilized egg
cell), and interference with physiological changes that occur in the female body (natural birth control
methods and artificial methods of contraception) (Kulesza, Dobrzycka, Sobieranska, Korzeniecka
Terlikowski, 2014)
Birth control doesn t just involve wearing a condom, using the

Fast Food And Obesity
FOOD MATTERS: RESEARCH Obesity in children increases the more hours they watch television.
Children s exposure to TV ads for unhealthy food products (i.e., high calorie, low nutrient snacks, fast
foods and sweetened drinks) are a significant risk factor for obesity. In very young children, research
has found that for every one hour increase in TV viewing per day, there are higher intakes of sugar
sweetened beverages, fast food, red and processed meat, and overall calories (48.7 kcal/day). Excess
weight can be gained by the addition of only 150 calories a day. Other research has found that children
who watch more than three hours of television a day are 50 per cent more likely to be obese than
children who watch fewer than two hours. Food and beverage advertising targeted at children
influences their product preferences, requests and diet. The food and beverage industry has resolved to
self regulate their marketing to children, but this has not resulted in significant improvement in the
marketing of healthier food (i.e., fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low fat or non fat milk or dairy
products, lean meats, poultry, fish and beans) to children. Almost three out of every four foods
advertised to children falls into the unhealthy categories that contribute to the obesity epidemic. Food
ads on television make up 50 percent of all the ad time on children s shows. These ads are almost
completely dominated by unhealthy food products (34 percent for

  • 2. The Influence Of NASA Have you ever looked up into the night sky and contemplated the many wonders and splendors that abound our universe? If you have then you might have also noticed that our universe doesn t only consist of the splendidness that we can see with our eyes alone, but with many other mysteries that we have yet not solved. In addition, as humans it has always been our nature to be curious and therefore, it has also been our greatest avidity to explore and discover things that are foreign to us. For instance, to many people it has become a significant objective to go beyond the impossible, sometimes in the pursuit to try and gain a greater perception of not only the world we live in, but also of the things that exist around us. In addition, as people s passion to learn about space has enlarged, many space groups and administrations have flourished. Thus many people have began to take on the role to try and go beyond the limits of the planet we live in, in other words, explore space. However, time has shown that in order to reach such achievements, great amounts of money are needed. Furthermore, over the past few years the U.S has been contributing to one of the world s largest air and spacecraft administration, otherwise known as NASA by funding money to it. In addition, it has been these contributions that have led to its many discoveries, which have taken part of our lives in one way or another. Therefore, as NASA s discoveries have extended and taken on different areas, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Nevertheless, locating or developing leaders that can elicit and sustain high levels of engagement from employees is challenging to say the least and the impact of failing to select or develop effective leaders can have catastrophic impacts to an organization. As a result, given this challenge, along with the complex and rapidly changing nature of the global marketplace, some cutting edge business leaders have surmised the traditional hierarchical organizational leadership structure can no longer sufficiently engage employees in a manner that enables organizations to keep pace with the speed of change. Consequently, several prominent organizations, such as, Zappos, Morning Star, and W.L. Gore, have elected to deconstruct the traditional leadership hierarchy, eliminate leadership positions, ... I have been visiting New Orleans ever since I was a young child and I love it. The energy of the city is so uplifting and inspiring. Earlier this year when I first learned about Tulane, I was ecstatic and couldn t wait to apply. • 10. Lack Of Reason In Lord Of The Flies, By William Golding Lack of Reason and Increasing Savagery Human nature is complex, filled with unpredictability and flaws. As seen in Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, the darker side of humanity is revealed in times of survival and conflict. Throughout the novel, the boys on the island become increasingly barbaric and violent when they are faced with dire situations. Through the escalating tension surrounding the symbolic nature of Piggy s glasses and its representation of the boys rationality, William Golding conveys the message that lack of reason brings out the innate savage side of human nature. Piggy s glasses are symbolic of the boys humane side and their reason. At the start of the novel, the boys on the island seem to be pleasant people and they understand the importance of starting a signal fire to be rescued. The boys are rational and are fighting for survival. The glasses are still in tact; they are going to be used to help the boys create a signal fire. Ralph speaks to the boys, exclaiming His specs use them as burning glasses! (Golding 40), showing that they want to return to society because they are using their resources at hand to start a fire and be rescued. They still have reason due to the fact they try to send a signal for rescue and would rather be rescued than accept a new life on the island. The glasses are in one piece, symbolizing their rationality is present and held together at the beginning of their journey. The low tension is among the boys and who ... • 13. Factors Caused By Recreational Scuba Diving And Snorkeling... Globally, marine ecosystems, in particular, coral reefs, are experiencing increasing pressure due to the growth in recreational scuba diving, and snorkeling. Pressure refers to the frequency, and quantity of divers, and dive boats on any particular reef. This pressure often results in damage to the reef, and is caused by divers, snorkelers, and even dive boat anchors, and anchor lines, furthermore, this damage takes significant time to repair, due to the rate at which coral grows, and repairs itself. Although this damage is not irreparable, continual pressure by recreational dive and snorkeling industries, can lead to damage beyond the reef s ability to recover. Damaged reefs result in loss of sea life, vibrancy, and color, the primary draw for divers, snorkelers, and other marine enthusiasts. Consequently, this damage extends to the economies of the local communities, in which water related activities are a primary source of revenue. To sustain these local communities economies, and tourist enjoyment, private SCUBA organizations can coordinate, and facilitate options to reduce the recreational damage of the ocean s reef system through education, artificial reef attractions, and alternative dive programs. SCUBA diving is a growing, and global recreational sport, with one certification agency, PADI, claiming an annual average of 900,000 new diver certifications globally . Of course, not all of these new divers will continue on to become frequent, or repeat divers, however, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. A Brief Note On The Attack Recovery Plan Radiological Attack Recovery Plan Thesis Statement: It is essential for all the bodies of authority as well as the public to have a proper plan to mitigate the impacts caused by a possible radiological attack exposure. The local, public, and national emergency preparedness in responding to a radiological detonation could lead to saving of many lives. 1. Introduction I. Define radiological emergency, causes and effects of radiological emergency, areas prone to radiological emergencies A radiological emergency is an emergency in which there is or there seems to be a hazard due to radiation exposure from a radioactive source. This may result from a variety of reasons such as uncontrolled sources, misuse of equipment or malicious acts. Although there has been no successful terrorist attack has happened in the US since 9/11, terrorism experts are wary that one is likely to occur in the near future. Numerous terrorism plans of various proportions have been foiled in the US. These include plans to detonate radiological dispersal devices (RDD) (Eggen Sxhmidt, 2002). Al Qaeda has expressed intent to obtain and use nuclear devices in the United States with Osama bin Laden having declared it a duty on Muslims to acquire nuclear devices (Ferguson et al, 2004, Lawrence, 2005). Although nuclear attacks are way too complicated for terrorists a simpler equally psychologically effective means exists. • 15. Large Aircraft Essays The A 380 is becoming more popular as airlines look for ways to move the maximum amount of passengers for the least money (Stafford, 2006). The A380 is made in passenger or freight versions. The A380 800 is the largest passenger plane in the world. When passenger areas are divided into three classes, the A380 can seat 550 passengers. When the entire plane is designated economy class, it can seat 853 people. There is 50% more cabin floor space than the Boeing 747 because the A380s upper deck goes the entire length of the fuselage ( Airbus a380 airfield, 2011). In 2010 there were already over 30 in use and more are expected in the near future (Young Wells, 2011, p. 473). Due to the size and weight of the aircraft, airports will have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to FAA Order 5300, airports may submit Modifications of Standard (MOS) requests for review of non standard compliance items as long as safety is not compromised . Making modification would be much less expensive and less time consuming for the airports that are able to do them. Some design standards to allow for safe use of the A380 include blast pad dimensions to be 250 x 400 feet ( Airbus a380 airfield, 2011). Many smaller airports will not be able to fit the larger airbus and the A380 will be limited to only the large, hub airports better able to accommodate them. Smaller airports may have to be used as feeder airports that will connect passengers to the large airports and the A380s. This could be a problem of increased congestion with the existing slot system if more connecting flights are needed and there are no more gates available or slot time (Ruehle, Goetsch, Koch, 2006). At this time intercontinental routes use the hub and spoke system. This method allows airlines to bundle an increased number of passengers on the flights. The draw back is that it also leads to a more complex feeder flight schedule. Those airports with the facilities and room to support the airbuses would then become hubs for those aircraft flights. To be profitable and fill enough seats, airports with the most potential passengers would need to be paired for flights. Any delay or cancellation would have a domino effect, costing more ... • 16. The Importance Of Motivation In Education Education is the key to eliminate gender discrimination, to decrease poverty, to foster social peace in our communities and to create a sustainable development. But, how can we encourage our children to study effectively? In other words, how can we prepare them for success? Motivation is the secret behind student success. Motivation helps to explain why some children get impressive education results despite poverty, while others get ordinary results despite highly sophisticated teaching methods. Which factors affecting students motivation? And how it works in the lives of girls and boys? Despite the fact that girls outperform their male peers, and hyper control of girls acts as a kind of motivator which makes them study harder than boys, boys are not defective. Motivation is the main factor which is shaped by parents and teachers. In many Middle Eastern public schools; elements have cooperated together to create an educational system which is not appropriate for anyone but particularly not for boys. Boys feel like their teachers do not care about them, and they had experienced a worse relationship with their teachers. Also, they reported physical punishment which had been occurred at school. Moreover, boys have their own society which aims to enforce their masculinity away from classrooms and academic goals that is why they lose their motivation to study hard. This is the topic that Amanda Ripley (2017) focuses on in her article Boys are not defective . In her article Ripley (2017) discusses that male teachers practices have a negative effect on boys motivation. They do not care about boys well performance, tend to punish them physically and shout at them. In addition, the notions of masculinity among boys make them feel like schools will not help them to reach manhood. My firm conviction is those worse relationships between boys and teachers, insulting and corporal punishment and the internal desire of students to achieve their manhood outside classrooms; this would affect badly on their motivation, and would decrease their academic performance. I am totally agree with the author since teachers are one of the major factors which stands behind boys performance, and teachers mistreatment towards boys ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis Of Pygmalion By George Bernard Shaw An Analysis of the English class system in Pygmalion Throughout the play, Pygmalion, by George Bernard Shaw, many of the characters represent different social class structures. They also resemble how the higher class citizens feel threatened by the lower class citizens. Protagonist Eliza Doolittle, Henry Higgins, and Mrs. Pearce are prime examples of characters who portray different roles in the Victorian social structure. This play takes place during the Victorian period in England where the upper , middle, and lower class were at different stages. This social system was not meant for lower class to move up and down the hierarchy. If someone was born poor they would most likely die poor. Especially women in the class system were not able to move up in the class system without their husbands. Through the book many characters break these traditional norms, represent the ideas of the class system, and act as a model for the upper class. Many of the characters represent different social class structures. Eliza would be a threat to the upper class because her intent is to move from lower to upper class. In the beginning Eliza was just a dirty flower girl on the street with no money and Higgins says, She is no doubt as clean as she can afford to be; but compared to the ladies she is very dirty.
