The Negative Impacts Of The Reformation
The Reformation was perhaps the greatest religious movement in Christ since the early church. It
revived the Biblical and New Testament thoeological studies. b) a negative effect of the reformation
could be the disunity of the church. When the church was all one, we at least had some since of
fellowship. But now, all of the churches have their own little groups and we condemn other churches
for not being the same as your denomination. We should all come together as a body of Christ and
unify instead of break apart. c) Although Christians can believe indifferent doctrines, the way we serve
God doesn t necessarily matter if you believe he died for your sins. If we can come together and can
be unified in our faith, then I believe Christ will expand to different people. Also, if you have faith,
then you should have unity, and vise versa. d) There is a time for division in the body of Christ. When
a church group is denying scripture and, after being confronted, still continues their same practice,
then it is time to break fellowship with that group. This has happened with the Metropolitan
Community Church denomination which openly advocates the support of homosexuality. Also, there
is an Evangelical Lutheran church that is thinking about accepting homosexual relationships into
church. At this point it is ok to draw the line and say enough is enough. e) Tolerance has to do with
permitting and allowing, and putting up with, while love is active and has to do with concern for

The Importance and Uses of Magnesium Essay
In chemistry and in our world there are elements that are needed for survival in our everyday life, and
one essential element that both humans and plants need is magnesium. Magnesium is an alkaline earth
metal that is the second element found in group two on the periodic table. Magnesium is an important
element that is used in our everyday society and found in the industry, agriculture, research, and
medical areas. Magnesium is a hard, silvery white metal that is the lightest weight element used for
making objects that need to have a strong metal to keep it together. Its symbol is Mg and its atomic
number, the number of protons found in the nucleus of an atom, is twelve ( Magnesium Periodic).
Magnesium is one of the more commonly used ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reaction that Magnesium Chloride makes is MgCl2 → Mg + Cl2 (Uttley). A Magnesium
compound that helps with the heating in your home is Magnesium Oxide (MgO). It is a good
insulating material and heating refractory. The balance equation for this is: 2Mg + O2 → 2MgO. Also,
when using cotton and wool fabrics, cement, or ceramics people need Magnesium Citrate
(Mg3(C6H5O7)2. ( Magnesium Today s). Other compounds that are in industry are magnesium
fluoride and magnesium oxide that produce glass and ceramics, magnesium hexafluorosilicate that is
mothprooding of textiles, magnesium phosphate that can be used for fireproofing wood for
construction, and magnesium sulfite that is used in manufacturing paper (Newton). Since magnesium
is easily reactive it can combine with other elements to form several useful compounds.
One specific use of Mg compounds in our society is the functions of magnesium alloys in the industry
field. An alloy is a mixture of two or more metals with properties different from those of the
individual metals (Newton). For example, since magnesium is a lightweight metal and aluminum is a
heavier metal magnesium can alloy with Aluminum. Magnesium and aluminum alloys create
airplanes, automobiles, ladders, artificial limbs, vaccum cleaners, lawn mowers, some portable power
and gardening tools, car wheels, soda cans, and skis. Since Mg is one of the lightest metals it is used
in vehicles so that there can be less fuel (Uttley).

How Did Louis Pasteur Affect The Economy
Louis Pasteur also made a major impact on the agricultural industries of France s economy as well. In
the early years of the 1880s, an issue rose among the fields of farmers across the country of France.
Their cattle and sheep were suddenly dying, collapsing to the ground for what appeared as if some
sudden, unseen force was knocking them down. Farmers and cattle owners were perplexed and
worried, for they were losing money and they were losing money rapidly. Sheep and cattle were not
only resources in the clothing industries for cloth and leather but also in agriculture as a food source.
The discovery was made by another scientist that the cause of these animal s deaths was because of a
disease called anthrax. Anthrax, at the time, was seen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His interest in rabies began when he eleven years old. In October of 1831, a rabid wolf ravaged
through Pasteur s town, biting and attacking anything in its way. Young Pasteur witnessed this tragic
event and never forgot the seventeen dogs and the six children that were harmed. Around fifty years
later, Pasteur s drive to find a rabies bacillus was still going strong yet throughout France is was
believed that the experiment was inevitable for failure Rabies is a viral and contagious disease. This
did not stop Pasteur s lab from making progress in their experimentation. In their first attempt, Louis
and his team attempted to make dogs immune to the effects of rabies. In doing so, they injected the
disease into different species. They noticed that as the disease was passed to each other, it gradually
weakened in its effects. Pasteur then began to inject animals with a less potent injection of rabies. The
hope was that slowly but surely, immunity would be built up within that animal. The method consisted
of approximately seven to fourteen daily injection of the live rabies virus into the animal to be
observed and analyzed over time. Out of the fifty animals that were tested on, there had been constant
successes in making them resistant to rabies. As a result of this progress and success, Pasteur decided
that it was time to begin human trials. At first, many were skeptical that Pasteur and his team s vaccine
would work. However as more and more cases occurred, and with nowhere else to go, people
requested treatment with the rabies vaccine. By October of 1886, over two thousand people had
received the vaccine. Although the vaccine was not one hundred percent successful, ninety nine
percent of individuals that were infected with rabies survived with the aid of Pasteur s vaccine.

The Importance of Multicultural Literature ENG/157 David McCarthy The Importance of
Multicultural Literature The introduction to multicultural literature into the broad world of differing
walks of life, the reader may be surprised by the similarities between the cultures as well as the
differences. Cultures are as eclectic as we are as individuals, each with their own quirks, intricacies,
and uniqueness that inspires individuality regarding how the vast differences between cultures

effect of what transpired can be overcome through perseverance despite devastation endured. The
author, Ken Saro Wiwa, also politically motivated which is a characteristic prominent within his short
story Africa Kills Her Sun . Having sided with the minority Ogoni within his homeland of Nigeria, his
protests and resistance against the dictatorship of General Sani Abacha led to his imminent execution.
Within this particular short story, though, he wrote the character Bana as one who sees his acts of
criminality no different from that of those in more prestigious standing. This ultimately leads the
reader to question how criminal activity, such as robbery is any different from that of the sly,
underhanded actions of a politician or any other individual in a position of power. Readers also
develop an emotional attachment to a character, such as the main character in Chitra Divakaruni s
Mrs. Dutta Writes a Letter . From the direct perspective of the character, the reader looks through the
eyes of an elderly widow from India who struggles to find balance between her

Kurdistan is a region that has existed in turmoil and is the never was country. The Kurds are the fourth
largest ethnic group of the Middle East, numbering between 20 and 25 million. Approximately 15
million live in the regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria, an area they called Kurdistan, yet they do
not have a country of their own. Formal attempts to establish such a state were crushed by the larger
and more powerful countries in the region after both world wars. When the Ottoman Empire collapsed
after World War I, the Kurds were promised their own independent nation under the Treaty of Sevres.

Turkey has been a key player against the PKK. Geography, politics and history have conspired to
render 30 million Kurds the largest stateless people in the Middle East. The Government of Turkey
has long denied the Kurdish population, located largely in the southeast, basic political, cultural, and
linguistic rights. The government of Turkey has in turn waged an intense campaign to suppress PKK
terrorism, targeting active PKK units as well as persons they believe support or sympathize with the
PKK. As part of its fight against the PKK, the Government forcibly displaced noncombatants, failed to
resolve extra judicial killings, tortured civilians, and abridged freedom of expression. The Turkish
government has also managed to burn over 4,000 villages forcing Kurds to flee from their homeland.

Mahayana Buddhism to Bodhisattva and Mahayana Buddhism. Taoism used inaction to compare
Buddhism to Dhamma. The Chinese also used Buddhism to position Buddhism. It can be seen that if
Buddhism wants to occupy a place in China, it must blend in with the culture of Confucianism and

Argumentative Essay On Arranged Marriage
Arranged Marriages I didn t want to disappear into a forced marriage. I wanted my freedom Sabatina
James. One of today s societal norms is having the choice to marry who you desire. The long age

arranged marriages have different meanings and circumstances. Some countries like China and India

The Meet and Greet is a more modern way of arranged marriages, but, it worked for this couple; and
they both knew that an arranged marriage was a better option for them.
We have friends that met in college, fell in love, and you know, they fought for that. But I think our
personalities are the type that we would probably wouldn t have fought for it, because we didn t know
each other that well either (Renee Montagne 28).
The modern arranged marriage is based on personalities and finding your compliment, but, also for
love and romance. The difference in modern arranged marriages compared to traditional arranged
marriages is that they are not based off of marrying a daughter off for wealth, to have a higher social
status or to just start having younger women once they reach a fertile age to be baby dwellers. Based
on the Muslim couple in the article Matched by Mom: Arranged Marriage

Symbolism In Lamb To The Slaughter
Rationale: I was inspired by the character and language usage in Lamb to the Slaughter. I have
attempted to show Mary s behavior and thoughts through visual imagery (e.g. licking black lipstick to
return to red lips), symbolism (e.g. red lips symbolize new life), foreshadowing (e.g. she had loved
him), starting sentences with conjunctions (and, so) and black comedy (Mary was secretly dating
another person as well), all literary devices used in the original story. I have also focused more on
describing setting instead of characters, similar to the original story. The title of my pastiche is A
leopard cannot change its spots. Like the original title, this is a biblical phrase with a reference to an
animal. The title means that like how a leopard ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

throughout the house. The police asked, Mary. Did you kill this woman and Patrick? No, of course
not! Mary knelt down and placed her face in her hands, making sniffling sounds. Why would I kill my

prescriptive model as the objective would have been defined beforehand and elements such as finance

strategies may be in place for things like training and development where elements can be discovered
along the way for example if an issue arose where staff needed more health and safety training then
the training programme could be redirected. Ryanair, as already stated, follows neither strategic

Concealed Self In Tang
This art analysis will argue in favor of the dissenting literati of the Song Dynasty that sought to
underscore the concealed self of governmental punishment and the re discovery of self in landscape
paintings of the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. During the Song Dynasty, governmental scholar officials
were often expected to challenge the policies of the government, which caused some officials to self
edit themselves due to fear of punishment from the Emperor. Song era landscape painters concealed
their literary symbolism in the landscape paintings produced by scholar officials. However, some

The Imagery Tone of a Play:
The Use of Literary Devices Imagery Tone in Krapp s Last Tape
In the play Krapp s Last Tape, there is one protagonist who is described as sitting at a small table,
listening to tapes. Krapp is an impaired and broken down elderly man who spends his time listening to
his younger voice on tapes. He is egotistical and subjective towards his younger self and critiques the
way he acted in a certain place or time. He is lonely, but okay with it as he would rather focus on
things that he has already experienced, rather then engage in new ones. He is essentially stuck in the

Imagery plays a big part in describing the character s appearance and actions in order to show what a
character is like and how they respond to differing situations. It can also shape the story and reveal to
the reader the background of a person, place, or thing. In Krapp s Last Tape, the only character is
given much detail and description in order to start the play at a point where the reader already knows
some information about this elderly man. The literary convention of imagery provides insight into the
character that will lead the play.
Krapp, the main protagonist in Krapp s Last Tape is given a good amount of description, leading into
the beginning of dialogue. His raggedy grey hair, disheveled clothes, and death ridden face give the
reader an image of a character that has lived through many years. It is as if he has given up on life and
is preparing for what is to come. The fact that he is also hard of hearing and has a cracked voice,
seems to have intensified the distaste towards his character. Krapp s descriptive appearance helps to
foreshadow his cynical and confined personality.
Krapp also remains motionless for most of the play. The only actions that do take place are of him
eating a banana in the very beginning and the loading of the three tapes that Krapp focuses on in the
dialogue. This imagery of him loading the tapes and sitting at his table depicts

Motifi Of Water In Jamaica Kincaid s Annie John
Motifi of Water in Annie John
Oceans cover about seventy percent of the Earth. They are essential for our environment since they
produce more than half of the oxygen in the atmosphere. Without our vast oceans, humankind would
be unable to survive. In Annie John, by Jamaica Kincaid, water is utilized as a motif to show the
growth and develop of Annie, a young girl in the Caribbean. Annie grows up learning how to properly
balance the values of the colonial world and the native Caribbean culture, Obeah, through her mother
s parenting. Kincaid uses water as a tool of empowerment to Annie s growth by curing, nurturing, and
transforming her.
Annie s safe haven as a young child consists of baths in the ocean to help heal her from bodily aches.
In the Obeah culture, it is believed that water can cure someone of any body aches. Annie informs the
reader of her childhood when she bathes in the sea after church, It was at a time when I was thought to
have weak kidneys and in the sea had been recommended as a strengthening remedy (Kincaid 42).
Annie values the Obeah traditions because her mother athing in the water is a remedy for Annie s
body. The sea demonstrates a higher power since three quarters cover the earth s surface. Oceans are a
natural force no mankind can replicate; therefore, they hold an influential component to heal Annie s
weak kidneys. Thus, allowing water to heal Annie from any bodily aches she had as a child.
The influence of Obeah culture encourages Annie to acknowledge water as a remedy to cleanse the
body. So, when Annie becomes bedridden, she has intense hallucinations believing several pictures in
the room are approaching her. Her initial response is to clean the items with water, as she notes, None
of the people in the wedding picture, except for me, had any face left. In the picture of my mother and
father, I had erased them from the waist down. In the picture of me wearing my confirmation dress, I
had erased all of myself except for the shoes (120). Annie s response to clean the picture with a wet
cloth rather than to allow it to dry reflects her mother s perspective on cleanliness. Therefore, her
subconscious illustrates the outside forces bring her down. Meanwhile, leaving her parents

Toys. When you walk into any store you ll find two seperate toy rows. A bright pink row filled with
Barbies, My Little Pony, and Littlest Pet Shop. Princesses, stuffed animals, dresses and sparkles. The
other section is cool blues with Nerf Guns, Legos, and Hotwheels. Action figures line the aisles. Two
genders, separated like night and day. Why should we separate them? What do the expected toys for
each gender say about gender roles and how our society silently enforces them?
Are we enforcing gender roles by sectioning off toys? By doing this we re teaching boy that they need
to be sporty or like cars and trucks, which leads into a social norm of men being more emotionally

Imac Case
This afternoon I had just finished a meeting with representatives from Apple who is requesting a 30
second advertisement slot, specifically requesting for their ad to be played during 106 Park. They are
requesting that they pay a much lower price than the our initial offering price of $6,500 per 30 second.
Their main reasons being:
African Americans make 15% less than the average
African Americans stay in school for a shorter period of time
The iMac is mainly for the B2B market, thus advertising through BET would not reach their main
consumer group
Their argument is not justified and I think we should adamantly stay at our initial offer of $6,500. Our
television networks is in the same tier as other premier networks, like MTV. 106 Park especially has
one of the highest viewership percentage during run time even more than MTV s TRL. By showing a
comparison on viewership percentage to Apple and mentioning that a 30 second spot in MTV s TRL
will cost close to $9,000 will make Apple s representatives to be more compliant. ... Show more

Thus it will be unreasonable for them to negotiate a lower rate than $6,500 whilst all other networks
have been increasing their price rates. This special rate is even more special because the amount of
cable network subscriber have increased by 30% amongst all networks. By advertising through BET
now, Apple will gain maximum impact at a minimum input.
African Americans has also been proven to outspend all other races regardless of the 15% lower than
average level of disposable income. It is actually of Apple s self interest to advertise through BET
compared to other television channels because BET s main viewership has always been the African
Americans demographic. This way their product, although expensive, will reach the demographic that

Ivf Treatment And Its Effects Essay
In Vitro Fertilization, more commonly known as IVF treatment is the process of combining a woman s
eggs and a man s sperm in a dish where the healthiest embryo, or multiple, are then implanted in the
woman s uterus. IVF is an extensively discussed topic through separate countries and the laws and
restrictions behind it. It is a process which allows couples having trouble with infertility, and a number
of other social pairings, to be able to conceive children. But one of the biggest issues behind IVF and
what prevents it from being legal in some countries is the ethics behind it and whether or not it could
have an impact on the baby being conceived, or its parents. Although IVF treatment is legal in New
Zealand and has been since 1978 there is still a lot of controversy on the topic about the quality of life
of those involved. Although IVF treatment allows those who cannot conceive a child naturally to still
be able to have children there are still many risks behind it as with any scientific procedure. Some
research points to IVF treatment causing an increase in birth defects such as autism, intrauterine
growth retardation and mental retardation. Pregnancies caused by IVF have also shown a higher rate
of miscarriages and premature labour. As well as the risks to the foetus, the parents are also at certain
risks. The hormonal drugs the female is required to take to undergo the IVF process can have an effect
on her in her life such as hot flushes, headaches and nausea. However,

Finishing My Education Debt Free
(An analysis of the financial obstacles I will encounter in college and how I will overcome them)
College. Merriam Webster dictionary defines it as an institution offering instruction usually in a
professional, vocational, or technical field, but if you ask most of the students who are attending a
college right now, they may define it as a four to eight year money sucking hole. College is one of the
most expensive, and most important, things that you will ever put your money into. The average cost
of a four year degree is ten to twenty thousand dollars. Schooling beyond those four years can be as
expensive as up to thirty thousand dollars a year, based on the kind of degree you are working for.

The first and most important way that I am going to approach college without finishing with an
enormous amount of debt is earning scholarships. I have been constantly applying for every
scholarship that is available. I am a part of many different websites that alert me on what scholarships
are available in my area. All of the scholarships that I win will hopefully earn me enough money to at
least cover my tuition, and hopefully my room and board. I am applying for scholarships that have to
do with music, theatre, and my academics. I will have to accomplish many things throughout college
to maintain these scholarships, but it will all be worth it when I am able to accomplish my schooling
without any major debts. Working through school is the next way that I am going to earn money so
that I can finish my schooling without an enormous pile of debt. I will work a job or possibly even two
jobs to help pay my personal expenses and my transportation expenses. Hopefully, I will receive
enough scholarships that I won t have to work more than one job to keep up with my expenses. The
job, or jobs, that I do work will have to be flexible to work around my class and extra curricular
activities. I hope to get a job that has some type of benefit so that I can also have any of those benefits,

The Role Of Cancer In Men
Many Americans and individuals worldwide live with one of the most deadly diseases, cancer
(American Cancer Society (ACS), 2015). ACS (2015) defines cancer as a disease in which abnormal
cells divide uncontrollably and destroy body tissues. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in
the world today. Although both men and women can contract the disease, genetic studies show that 1
in 3 American men will suffer some form of cancer during their long or short lifespan. There are
numerous kinds of cancer that affect different parts of your body. However, in American men the three

Colon cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer
death in men. Many of the colorectal cancers develop from precanurous polyps. Polyps are growths
that rise in the lining of the colon and can be visible when the bowel is examined by endoscopy. There
are two types of polyps: Aderiomatous and hyperplasic polyps. Aderiomatous polyps can become
cancerous over the time and progress takes at least ten years in most men. Signs of colon cancer
include a change in your bowel system (diarrhea or constipation or a change in the constant of your
stool) that last for more than four weeks. Rectal signs are bleeding or blood in your stool. Many
people may feel discomfort, such as pain or cramps. Others may even become weak or even fatigue.
Multiple people who have colon cancer may experience no symptoms in the early stages of the
disease. When the symptoms finally appear, they will likely vary, depending on the cancers size and
the location in your large intestine. The primary goal of the screenings is to prevent deaths from colon
cancer. Screening test can help identify cancers at an early and potentially at a curable stage.
Screening can even prevent you from also true development of cancer by identifying and treating
precancerous abnormal growths that can be removed before they become malignant. Physicians
recommend that adults undergo colon cancer screening starting at the age 50 or maybe even earlier

Definition Of A Neutral Question
There is no such thing as a neutral question. Evaluate this statement with reference to two areas of
knowledge. In order to evaluate this statement, we must clearly understand what is a neutral question.
A definition of a neutral question can be: A question asked in such a way that it does not imply
personal opinion or bias. I assume that a true question has to be neutral. If a question reveals to be non
neutral, the objectivity that defines a question doesn t exist anymore. It becomes a statement or a
judgement with a question make up. To develop the evaluation of this statement, we have to figure out
what are the conditions for a question to be neutral. The point of a question is to request knowledge or
information; it gives control over the direction taken to fill in the request. One could argue that the
initial choice of what question is asked, in itself, is a form of bias and on those grounds, neutrality is
impossible any time there is a question. For this reason, it might be good to think of neutrality on a
continuum with some questions being more neutral than others. Examples of neutral questions can be
identified as: Can you describe the kind of information you would like to find? Or what are you
hoping to find? A neutral question can then be defined as a bias free enquiry for knowledge. For my
Areas of Knowledge I will be referencing Ethics and Natural sciences. What is neutrality? Neutrality
is about not going forward or backward or taking a side. Neutrality

among the fundamental sources a manager can use, when he structures the strategic management.

The Ideas Of Machiavelli And Socrates
Essay #1
The ideas of Machiavelli and Socrates have influenced the leadership styles and approaches of leaders
around the world. From Stalin to the founding fathers of the United States, Machiavellian influenced
motives and ideals can be seen throughout modern history. Socrates is often referred to as the founder
of Western philosophy, and his teachings have been passed on to leaders over the centuries. This paper
will state both the Machiavelli s concept of a Prince , and present Socrates perspective on the ideal
prince. It will then evaluate Machiavelli s concept of prince from Socrates perspective, and decide as
to whether Socrates would be supportive of a political system led by a Machiavellian Prince.
The Machiavellian approach ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This prince would not concern himself with the will of the majority, as decisions that he makes need to
be logical and defensible. This prince would place an emphasis on virtue, over the pursuit for material
wealth. The prince could never intentionally do wrong or evil, and would disapprove of the idea of
returning an evil for an evil.
The difference between the two figures is striking. Machiavelli writes about a prince that breaks his
word, when necessary for his own gain. On the other hand, Socrates argues that is never right to be
untruthful. Machiavelli and Socrates both argue for self development, yet the forms of development
that they advocate are very different. Although there are similarities, such as the fact that each ideal
prince should surround himself with smart, questioning advisors, the differences in the core of each
argument are too deeply divided. Socrates would not approve of an ideal Machiavellian prince, and
would not be supportive of the political system that this prince would lead.
The biggest difference between the two ideal princes is their respective views on ethics and justice.
For Machiavelli ethics should be pushed aside when it is in the best interest of the prince to do so.
This is something that Socrates could never endorse, as it is his belief that people should spend their
lives in the pursuit of virtue, and should lead ethical

male protagonist tells the course of events from their perspective, and their role as narrator has a
significant impact on the novels In both The Catcher in the Rye, and The Kite Runner, first person

that alley, that I d stood there and done nothing. He knew I had betrayed him and yet he was rescuing
me once again, maybe for the last time. (Kite 9.29) This quote perfectly encapsulates Amir s feelings
of extreme grief for what he did to Hassan. This is a recurring theme within the book, the reader sees
the anxiety that Amir feels for betraying Hassan in the alley that day, and from that day he does his
best to repent for his unatoned sins.
Another importance of first person narrative within The Catcher in the Rye and The Kite Runner is it
allows the reader to empathize with the characters of the novels. In both novels the narrator/main
character is not the most likeable. Holden Caulfield is a very cynical and jaded narrator, and finds the
hypocrisy and ugliness of the world around him almost unbearable, through his cynicism he tries to
protect himself from the pain and disappointment of the adult world. Amir is a complex character like
all protagonist narrator s are. He isn t all bad, but he has a crippled conscious, and makes very

The Hebrews Are A Covenant Oriented Demographic
The Hebrews are a Covenant oriented demographic. Their holy book is the Torah and as defined by
God for the Torah there are six Covenants to follow these would include: Abrahamic, Mosaic, Priestly,
Davidic, and the New Covenant. The main question pertains to the fact of how faithful were the
Hebrews And God to these Covenants. Another thought is to how did these Covenants separate the
Hebrews from their surrounding neighbors? Can these covenants be applied to daily life and resound
on a personal level in 2016 as well?I firmly believe that the covenants can provide a peace of mind for
those that are willing to accept the Scriptures and apply them to be a more ethical and morally sound
person. The six Covenants define Hebrew law and give a basis for how the current population of
Jewish people follows and practice their religion. The first Covenant is the Abrahamic covenant this is
defined in Genesis chapters 12 through 13. In Genesis 12 and 15, God grants Abraham land and

make his name great so that he will be a blessing, to bless those who bless him and curse him who

The Origin Of Moral Sense By Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin is famous for his theories regarding evolution and natural selection. In his 1871 book,
Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality through studying the behavior of various species. In
his essay, Origin of the Moral Sense Charles Darwin uses his theory of evolution to explain the origin
of morality through the study of animals, specifically mammals. Darwin s main theory of the Origin of
the Moral Sense is that humans have natural social instincts which in turn gives them a sense of
naturally occurring morality. Darwin s ideas surrounding morality and a natural social instinct have
been echoed and added to by philosophers, almost a century later, David Barash and Robert Trivers.
In his essay, the Origin of Moral Sense Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality and its relation
to evolution. Darwin argues, that like animals, humans are descendants of natural selection. Darwin
argues that not only our (meaning humans and animals) mental capacity evolved, so did our own
moral sense. Darwin s first point in the Origin of Moral Sense is that ethics occurs naturally amongst
animals. Darwin believes that animals have a sense of sympathy and need to do the right thing
ingrained in them. Although Darwin believes it is instinctual to do good , it does not apply to the same
species, only species of the same kind.
Darwin s second point argues that past actions that are good will be ingrained within ourselves, so we
will repeat the same action again. Darwin

Stephen Chbosky opens our eyes to the benefits of being a wallflower through Charlie s experiences.
Wallflowers tend to look at the deeper meanings of things. A lot of times people tend to take things at

E payment systems are not a novel idea. Electronic money has been used between banks in the form of

Essay on Physics of Soccer
Physics of Soccer
I. Introduction
Soccer is a sport that s very challenging and during the course of this semester I ve found physics can
also be described as challenging. As far as I was concerned soccer and physics were both challenging
and that was all they had in common, consequently upon researching them both this semester I found
that I was wrong. For me this was nothing new because I ve found that physics isn t a subject that can
be skimmed, but rather it has to be studied to the finest detail. Those small details if missed can make
all your efforts worthless. Or on the positive side understanding those details can make your efforts
worth it in the end. And in soccer if you understand the physics, which to most players ... Show more

Defensively in soccer speed is sometimes slowed down and skilled footwork may be needed. How a
player uses speed or velocity depends on the situation, but if just one isn t done skillfully a player may
not end up making the play as planned.
III. Distance
The distance that you are able to kick the ball can be summed up with the equation for distance, d=RT,
distance equals rate multiplied by the time. So speed and time are both very important when kicking
the ball because it directly affects the distance. Soccer players vary the distances that they want to kick
the ball. Skilled players can estimate very quickly how fast to make the ball move to make it go where
they need it to. Before learning this equation in physics I just thought you kicked the ball, but now I
know that when this equation is applied to soccer it means so much more. Soccer players can use this
to help them judge how hard and fast they need to be able to kick the ball to make it go a certain
distance. This is just another example of how physics, the small details, can be used to improve ones
soccer skills.
IV. Momentum
Momentum can be defined as the product of the inertial mass and the velocity, p=mv (Kirkpatrick,
106). When relating this equation to soccer it can be directly interchanged with the mass of the player
and their speed/direction. So a player must be not only quick, but have the mass to gain the
momentum needed. When the

Meaning Of Sacrament
The word sacrament comes from Latin word Sacramentum the Greek word mysterion is equivalent to
Sacramentum and it is used by Paul in Ephesians when he is speaking about marriage. This is a great
foreshadowing Mysterion; I mean that it refers to Christ and the church. In later usage, the term
Sacramentum emphasizes the visible sign of the hidden reality of salvation which was indicated by the
term Mysterium. In this case, Christ himself is the mystery of salvation For there is no other mystery
of God, except Christ Jesus. The synonymous of the word Sacramentum in the Bible is Mysterion,
Orthodox Church uses the word mystery to mean sacrament.

things may be considered, the very cause of our sanctification, which is Christ s passion. The form of

both a reminder of the past that is the passion of Christ and an indication of that which is effected in us
by Christ s passion. That is grace and a prognostic that is a foretelling of future. St Augustine has a

Analysis Of MSNBC And Fox News
The last and final difficult conversation was a constructive and mind opening experience on the

watching Fox News and for me personally it felt like I was watching the tabloids or some might say a

their demographics or background always wants to be right in some way.
The reflection period out of this conversation was for me shocking. As an engaged political person, I
at least try to be engaged with the news. I find that CBS and New York Times are the most reliable
news corporation out there with little to no bias at all, all facts. However, my colleagues find that the
current mainstream news media are becoming either gossip, tabloid, or fake news channels.
Respectively, I take offense to their beliefs on the basis that the news today is fake. Throughout
history, it has been the news and investigative journalism that led to the many stories that transformed
this nation into many shapes and forms. Without the news, a society will be at worst an anarchist
society where nobody trusts each other or a tyrannical society where the populace will fall for
anything that the state displays. It has been an American right of having open news sources, do
Americans want to disregard this right in favor of being handed a silver platter of information from

  • 2. The Negative Impacts Of The Reformation The Reformation was perhaps the greatest religious movement in Christ since the early church. It revived the Biblical and New Testament thoeological studies. b) a negative effect of the reformation could be the disunity of the church. When the church was all one, we at least had some since of fellowship. But now, all of the churches have their own little groups and we condemn other churches for not being the same as your denomination. We should all come together as a body of Christ and unify instead of break apart. c) Although Christians can believe indifferent doctrines, the way we serve God doesn t necessarily matter if you believe he died for your sins. If we can come together and can be unified in our faith, then I believe Christ will expand to different people. Also, if you have faith, then you should have unity, and vise versa. d) There is a time for division in the body of Christ. When a church group is denying scripture and, after being confronted, still continues their same practice, then it is time to break fellowship with that group. This has happened with the Metropolitan Community Church denomination which openly advocates the support of homosexuality. Also, there is an Evangelical Lutheran church that is thinking about accepting homosexual relationships into church. At this point it is ok to draw the line and say enough is enough. e) Tolerance has to do with permitting and allowing, and putting up with, while love is active and has to do with concern for ... • 3. The Importance and Uses of Magnesium Essay In chemistry and in our world there are elements that are needed for survival in our everyday life, and one essential element that both humans and plants need is magnesium. Magnesium is an alkaline earth metal that is the second element found in group two on the periodic table. Magnesium is an important element that is used in our everyday society and found in the industry, agriculture, research, and medical areas. Magnesium is a hard, silvery white metal that is the lightest weight element used for making objects that need to have a strong metal to keep it together. Its symbol is Mg and its atomic number, the number of protons found in the nucleus of an atom, is twelve ( Magnesium Periodic). Magnesium is one of the more commonly used ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The reaction that Magnesium Chloride makes is MgCl2 → Mg + Cl2 (Uttley). A Magnesium compound that helps with the heating in your home is Magnesium Oxide (MgO). It is a good insulating material and heating refractory. The balance equation for this is: 2Mg + O2 → 2MgO. Also, when using cotton and wool fabrics, cement, or ceramics people need Magnesium Citrate (Mg3(C6H5O7)2. ( Magnesium Today s). Other compounds that are in industry are magnesium fluoride and magnesium oxide that produce glass and ceramics, magnesium hexafluorosilicate that is mothprooding of textiles, magnesium phosphate that can be used for fireproofing wood for construction, and magnesium sulfite that is used in manufacturing paper (Newton). Since magnesium is easily reactive it can combine with other elements to form several useful compounds. One specific use of Mg compounds in our society is the functions of magnesium alloys in the industry field. An alloy is a mixture of two or more metals with properties different from those of the individual metals (Newton). For example, since magnesium is a lightweight metal and aluminum is a heavier metal magnesium can alloy with Aluminum. Magnesium and aluminum alloys create airplanes, automobiles, ladders, artificial limbs, vaccum cleaners, lawn mowers, some portable power and gardening tools, car wheels, soda cans, and skis. Since Mg is one of the lightest metals it is used in vehicles so that there can be less fuel (Uttley). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. How Did Louis Pasteur Affect The Economy Louis Pasteur also made a major impact on the agricultural industries of France s economy as well. In the early years of the 1880s, an issue rose among the fields of farmers across the country of France. Their cattle and sheep were suddenly dying, collapsing to the ground for what appeared as if some sudden, unseen force was knocking them down. Farmers and cattle owners were perplexed and worried, for they were losing money and they were losing money rapidly. Sheep and cattle were not only resources in the clothing industries for cloth and leather but also in agriculture as a food source. The discovery was made by another scientist that the cause of these animal s deaths was because of a disease called anthrax. Anthrax, at the time, was seen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His interest in rabies began when he eleven years old. In October of 1831, a rabid wolf ravaged through Pasteur s town, biting and attacking anything in its way. Young Pasteur witnessed this tragic event and never forgot the seventeen dogs and the six children that were harmed. Around fifty years later, Pasteur s drive to find a rabies bacillus was still going strong yet throughout France is was believed that the experiment was inevitable for failure Rabies is a viral and contagious disease. This did not stop Pasteur s lab from making progress in their experimentation. In their first attempt, Louis and his team attempted to make dogs immune to the effects of rabies. In doing so, they injected the disease into different species. They noticed that as the disease was passed to each other, it gradually weakened in its effects. Pasteur then began to inject animals with a less potent injection of rabies. The hope was that slowly but surely, immunity would be built up within that animal. The method consisted of approximately seven to fourteen daily injection of the live rabies virus into the animal to be observed and analyzed over time. Out of the fifty animals that were tested on, there had been constant successes in making them resistant to rabies. As a result of this progress and success, Pasteur decided that it was time to begin human trials. At first, many were skeptical that Pasteur and his team s vaccine would work. However as more and more cases occurred, and with nowhere else to go, people requested treatment with the rabies vaccine. By October of 1886, over two thousand people had received the vaccine. Although the vaccine was not one hundred percent successful, ninety nine percent of individuals that were infected with rabies survived with the aid of Pasteur s vaccine. Through ... • 26. Definition Of A Neutral Question There is no such thing as a neutral question. Evaluate this statement with reference to two areas of knowledge. In order to evaluate this statement, we must clearly understand what is a neutral question. A definition of a neutral question can be: A question asked in such a way that it does not imply personal opinion or bias. I assume that a true question has to be neutral. If a question reveals to be non neutral, the objectivity that defines a question doesn t exist anymore. It becomes a statement or a judgement with a question make up. To develop the evaluation of this statement, we have to figure out what are the conditions for a question to be neutral. The point of a question is to request knowledge or information; it gives control over the direction taken to fill in the request. One could argue that the initial choice of what question is asked, in itself, is a form of bias and on those grounds, neutrality is impossible any time there is a question. For this reason, it might be good to think of neutrality on a continuum with some questions being more neutral than others. Examples of neutral questions can be identified as: Can you describe the kind of information you would like to find? Or what are you hoping to find? A neutral question can then be defined as a bias free enquiry for knowledge. For my Areas of Knowledge I will be referencing Ethics and Natural sciences. What is neutrality? Neutrality is about not going forward or backward or taking a side. Neutrality ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From Stalin to the founding fathers of the United States, Machiavellian influenced motives and ideals can be seen throughout modern history. Socrates is often referred to as the founder of Western philosophy, and his teachings have been passed on to leaders over the centuries. This paper will state both the Machiavelli s concept of a Prince , and present Socrates perspective on the ideal prince. It will then evaluate Machiavelli s concept of prince from Socrates perspective, and decide as to whether Socrates would be supportive of a political system led by a Machiavellian Prince. This prince would place an emphasis on virtue, over the pursuit for material wealth. The prince could never intentionally do wrong or evil, and would disapprove of the idea of returning an evil for an evil. The difference between the two figures is striking. Machiavelli writes about a prince that breaks his word, when necessary for his own gain. On the other hand, Socrates argues that is never right to be untruthful. Machiavelli and Socrates both argue for self development, yet the forms of development that they advocate are very different. Although there are similarities, such as the fact that each ideal prince should surround himself with smart, questioning advisors, the differences in the core of each argument are too deeply divided. Socrates would not approve of an ideal Machiavellian prince, and would not be supportive of the political system that this prince would lead. The biggest difference between the two ideal princes is their respective views on ethics and justice. For Machiavelli ethics should be pushed aside when it is in the best interest of the prince to do so. This is something that Socrates could never endorse, as it is his belief that people should spend their lives in the pursuit of virtue, and should lead ethical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. The Origin Of Moral Sense By Charles Darwin Charles Darwin is famous for his theories regarding evolution and natural selection. In his 1871 book, Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality through studying the behavior of various species. In his essay, Origin of the Moral Sense Charles Darwin uses his theory of evolution to explain the origin of morality through the study of animals, specifically mammals. Darwin s main theory of the Origin of the Moral Sense is that humans have natural social instincts which in turn gives them a sense of naturally occurring morality. Darwin s ideas surrounding morality and a natural social instinct have been echoed and added to by philosophers, almost a century later, David Barash and Robert Trivers. In his essay, the Origin of Moral Sense Charles Darwin explains the origin of morality and its relation to evolution. Darwin argues, that like animals, humans are descendants of natural selection. Darwin argues that not only our (meaning humans and animals) mental capacity evolved, so did our own moral sense. Darwin s first point in the Origin of Moral Sense is that ethics occurs naturally amongst animals. Darwin believes that animals have a sense of sympathy and need to do the right thing ingrained in them. Although Darwin believes it is instinctual to do good , it does not apply to the same species, only species of the same kind. Darwin s second point argues that past actions that are good will be ingrained within ourselves, so we will repeat the same action again. Darwin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Defensively in soccer speed is sometimes slowed down and skilled footwork may be needed. How a player uses speed or velocity depends on the situation, but if just one isn t done skillfully a player may not end up making the play as planned. III. Distance The distance that you are able to kick the ball can be summed up with the equation for distance, d=RT, distance equals rate multiplied by the time. So speed and time are both very important when kicking the ball because it directly affects the distance. Soccer players vary the distances that they want to kick the ball. Skilled players can estimate very quickly how fast to make the ball move to make it go where they need it to. Before learning this equation in physics I just thought you kicked the ball, but now I know that when this equation is applied to soccer it means so much more. Soccer players can use this to help them judge how hard and fast they need to be able to kick the ball to make it go a certain distance. This is just another example of how physics, the small details, can be used to improve ones soccer skills. IV. Momentum Momentum can be defined as the product of the inertial mass and the velocity, p=mv (Kirkpatrick, 106). So a player must be not only quick, but have the mass to gain the momentum needed. When the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
