Good morningtoall.My name is……I read inclass…..As we all know that we have gatheredhere onthe veryspecial occasionof
our nationcalledasRepublicDayof India.I wouldlike tonarrate a RepublicDayspeechinfrontof you. Firstof all I wouldlike to
say a lotof thankto my classteacheras just because of herI have got sucha wonderful opportunityinmyschool tocome on this
stage and speaksomethingaboutmybelovedcountryonitsgreatoccasionof Republicday.

Indiaisa self-governingcountrysince 15thof August1947. Indiagotindependence fromthe Britishrule on15thof Augustin
1947 whichwe celebrate asIndependence Day,However,on26thof Januarysince 1950 we celebrate asRepublicDay.The
Constitutionof Indiacame intoforce on26th of Januaryin 1950, sowe celebrate thisdayas the RepublicDayeveryyear.This
yearin 2016, we are celebrating67threpublicdayof India.
Republicmeansthe supreme powerof the people livinginthe countryandonlypublichasrightsto electtheirrepresentativesas
political leadertoleadthe countryinright direction.So,IndiaisaRepubliccountrywhere publicelectsitsleadersasa president,
prime minister,etc.OurGreatIndianfreedomfightershave struggledalotto the “Purna Swaraj”inIndia.Theydidso thattheir
future generationsmaylivewithoutstruggle andledcountryahead.
The name of our great Indianleadersandfreedomfightersare MahatmaGandhi,Bhagat Singh,ChandraShekherAjad,Lala
LajpathRai, Sardar BallabhBhai Patel,Lal bahadurShastri,etc.Theyfoughtcontinuouslyagainstthe Britishruletomake Indiaa
free country.We can neverforgettheirsacrificestowardsourcountry.We shouldrememberthemonsuchgreat occasionsand
salute them.Ithas become possible justbecause of themthatwe canthinkfromour own mindandlive freelyinournation
withoutanyone’sforce.
Our firstIndianPresidentwasDr.RajendraPrasadwho saidthat,“We findthe whole of thisvastlandbroughttogetherunderthe
jurisdictionof one constitutionandone unionwhichtakesoverresponsibilityforthe welfareof more than320 millionmenand
womeninhabitit”.Howshame tosay that still we are fightingwithcrime,corruptionandviolence(inthe formof terrorist,rape,
theft,riots,strikes,etc) inourcountry.Again,there isaneedto gettogethertosave our country fromsuch slaveryasi tis pulling
our nationback fromgoingto itsmainstream of developmentandprogress.We shouldbe aware of oursocial issueslikePoverty,
unemployment,illiteracy,global warming,inequality,etcinordertosolve themtogo ahead.
Dr. Abdul Kalamhassaid that“If a country isto be corruptionfree andbecome a nationof beautiful minds,Istronglyfee lthere
are three keysocietal memberswhocanmake a difference.Theyare the Father,the Motherand the Teacher”.Asa citizenof the
countrywe shouldthinkseriouslyaboutitanddo all possible effortstoleadournation.

Today,we all are here to celebrate 67thRepublicDayof our nation.Thisis a great andauspiciousoccasionforall of us.We
shouldgreeteachotherand prayto God for the developmentandprosperityof ournation.We celebrate RepublicDayinIndia
everyyearon 26th of Januaryas the constitutionof Indiacame intoforce at thisday. We are regularlycelebratingthe Republic
Day of Indiasince 1950 as on 26th of January in1950 Indiaconstitutioncame intoforce.
Indiaisa democraticcountrywhere publicisauthorizedtoelectitsleaderstoleadthe country.Dr.RajendraPrasadwas ourfirst
Presidentof India.Since we gotindependence fromthe Britishrule in1947, our countryhas developedalotand countedamon g
the powerful countries.Togetherwithsome developments,some drawbackshave alsoarisensuchinequality,poverty,
unemployment,corruption,illiteracy,etc.We needtotake a pledge todayforsolvingsuchproblemsinthe societytomake ou r
countrya bestcountryof the world.

I wouldlike tosaygoodmorningto My RespectedPrincipal,Sir,Madamand mydear colleagues.Aswe all know thatwe get
togetherhere tocelebrate 67thRepublicDayof ournation.Thisis veryauspiciousoccasionforall of us.Since 1950, we are
celebratingRepublicDayeveryyearwithlotsof joyand happiness.Beforestartingthe celebration,ourchief guestof the Republic
Day hoiststhe national flagof India.Thenwe all standup andsingour Indiannational anthemwhichisasymbol unityandpeace
inIndia.Our National Anthemiswrittenbythe greatpoetRabindranathTagore.
Our national flaghasthree colorsand a wheel inthe centerwith24 equal sticks.All the three colorsof ourIndianNational Flag
have some meaning.Topsaffroncolourof our flagdenotesthe strengthandcourage of our country.The middle white colour
indicatespeace howeverlowergreencolourindicatesthe growthandprosperity.Thereisanavy blue wheelinthe centerhavi ng
24 equal spokesindicatingDharmaChakraof the greatkingAshoka.
We celebrate republicdayon26 Januaryas the Indianconstitutioncame intoforce atthisday in1950. At republicday
celebration,abigarrangementtakesplace bythe governmentof IndiainNew Delhi atRajpathinfrontof the IndiaGate.Every
year,a chief guest(prime ministerof othercountry) isinvitedtofulfill the purposeof saying“Atithi DevoBhava”aswell as
enhance the gloryof the occasion.Indianarmy dorepublicdayparade and take salute of the National Flag.There isalsoa big
exhibitionof the Indianculture andtraditiontakesplace bythe differentIndianstatestoshow the UnityinDiversityinIndia.

I wouldlike tosaygoodmorningto our respectedPrincipal,myteachers,myseniorsandcolleagues.Letme letyouknow
somethingaboutthisspecial occasion.Todaywe are celebrating67threpublicdayof our nation.It wasstartedcelebratingsince
1950, twoand half yearslaterto the Independence of India in1947. We celebrate iteveryyearon26th of Januaryas our
constitutioncame intoeffectonthe same day.Aftergettingindependence fromthe Britishrule in1947, Indiawasnot a self -ruled
countrymeansa sovereignstate.Indiabecame aself-governingcountrywhenitsconstitutioncame intoeffectin1950.
Indiaisa republiccountrywhichhasnoany kingor queentorule ithoweverpublicof thiscountryisthe ruler.Everyone of us
livinginthiscountryhasequal rights,noone can be a president, chiefministerorprime ministerwithoutvotingof us.We have
the right to choose ourbestPrime Ministerorotherleaderstoleadthiscountryin the rightdirection.Ourleadersshould be
capable enoughtothinkinthe favor of our country.He shouldthinkequallyabouteverystates,villagesandcitiesof the country
so that Indiacan be a well developedcountrywithoutanydiscriminationof race,religion,poor,rich,highclass,lowerclass,
middle class,illiteracy,etc.
Our leadershouldhave dominatingpropertyinthe favorof countryso that eachand everyofficial mayfollow all the rulesand
regulationsincorrectway.Everyofficial shouldfollowthe Indianrulesandregulationsinordertomake thiscountrya corruption
free country.Onlya corruptionfree Indiawouldreallyandtrulymeanacountry with“UnityinDiversity”.Ourleadersshouldnot
understandthemaspecial person,astheyare one from us andhave beenselectedaccordingtotheircapabilitytoleadthe
country.Theyhave beenselectedbyustoserve theirtruthful servicestothe Indiafora limitedtime period.So,there shouldnot
be any confusionbetweentheirownegoandauthorityandposition.
As beinganIndiancitizen,we tooare fullyresponsible aboutourcountry.We shouldmake ourselvesup-to-date,readnewsand
be completelyaware of whatare goingon inour country,whatare goingon wrongor right,what are ourleadersdoingandfirstly
whatwe are doingfor our country.Earlier,Indiawasa slave countryunderBritishrule whichwasmade independentafterseveral
yearsof struggle bythe sacrificesof thousandsof livesof ourfreedomfighters.So,we shouldnotletgoeasilytheirall priceless
sacrificesandmake thiscountrya slave countryagain undercorruption,illiteracy,inequalityandothersocial discrimination.
Today isthe bestday whenwe shouldtake anoath to preserve ourcountry’sreal meaning,position,statusandmostimportantly
culture of humanity.

my classteacherfor givingme sucha great opportunitytospeechhere onthe Republicdayof India.Mydear friends,we have
gatheredhere tocelebrate thisspecial occasionof ournation.We celebrate republicdayon26 January annuallyto
commemorate the daywhenIndianconstitutioncame intoforce andIndiawasdeclaredasrepubliccountry.
I am veryproudto be the citizenof India.Atthisday,we unfurl the National Flagof Indiaandsingthe National Anthemto show
our heartilyrespectforourrepubliccountry.Itiscelebratedall overthe countryatschools,colleges,universities,educational
institutions,banksandmanymore places.Itwas 26 January,1950 whenIndianNational Constitutioncame intoforce.The peri od
from1947 to 1950 was transitionperiodandKingGeorge VIbecame the headof state whereasLordMountbattenandC.
Rajagopalachari became the Governors-General of India.
The Governmentof IndiaAct(1935) was replacedasthe governingdocumentof Indiaafterthe enforcementof Indian
Constitutionin1950 on 26 January.The Constitutionof Indiawasadoptedon26th of Novemberin1949 by the by Indian
ConstituentAssemblyhoweverimplementedlaterin1950 witha democraticgovernmentsystemdeclaringthe countryas
independentrepublic. 26January wasespeciallyselectedbecause onthe same dayin1930 IndianNational Congresshaddeclared
IndianIndependence meansPurnaSwaraj.RajendraPrasadbecame the firstPresidentof RepublicIndiain1950 afterthe
adoptionof Constitution.
A grand parade bythe Indianarmy(fromall three services) isorganizedinthe national capital (New Delhi) aswellasstate capitals
of the country.The parade of the national capital startsfrom the RaisinaHill (neartothe Rashtrapati Bhavan,the resi dential
place of IndianPresident) andendstothe pastIndiaGate alongwiththe Rajpath.Togetherwiththe Indianarmy,statesof
countryalso take part inthe parade (deckedwithfineryandofficialdecorations) toshow theirculture andtradition.Atthisday,
our countryfollowsthe traditionof “Atithi DevoBhava”byinvitingachief guest(PM,PresidentorKingfromanothercountry) on
26 January.Presidentof India,whoisthe CommanderinChief of Indianarmy,takesthe salute bythe IndianArmedForces.The
Prime Ministerof Indiagivesafloral tribute tothe sacrificedIndiansoldiersatthe Amar JavanJyoti,IndiaGate.The cel ebrationof
republicdaycontinuesby29th of Januarywhichendsafterthe beatingretreatceremony.Atthisday,every Indianshowshis/her
respectandPride to the National Constitution.

opportunitytorecite aspeechonrepublicdayof India.My dearfriends,we celebrate thisnationaleventeveryyeartoreme mber
and payrespectto the Indianconstitution.Itiscelebratedinall the schoolsandcollegesbythe studentsandteachershowever
alsocelebratedatgovernmentofficesandotherinstitutionsof the statesall overthe country.A maincelebrationtakesplace in
the national capital,NewDelhi,atRajpath,IndianGate before tothe Presidentof Indiaandchief guestfromanothercountry.A
grand ceremonial parade isorganizedatthe Rajpathinorderto performtribute toIndia.
At thisday,the Constitutionof Indiacame intoforce in1950 however,wasadoptedon26 November1949 bythe Constituent
Assembly.On26 January,IndiawasdeclaredPurnaSwaraj bythe IndianNational Congressin1930 that’swhy26 Januarywas
chosento bringIndianConstitutionintoforce.Afteritsenforcementthe Unionof Indiaofficiallybecame contemporaryRepublic
of Indiawhichhadreplacedthe Governmentof IndiaAct1935 to fundamental governingdocument.Ourcountrywasdeclareda
sovereign,secular,socialist,anddemocraticrepublicbythe Constitution.Ourconstitutionassuresthe citizensof Indiaabout
justice,liberty,andequalityamongthem.
Our IndianConstitutionwasdraftedbythe ConstituentAssembly(389members).Ittookaroundthree years(actuallytwoyears,
elevenmonthsandeighteendays) tobe written.A DraftingCommitteewassetupbythe ConstituentAssemblyon29thof August
in1947 to draft the Constitutionunderthe Chairmanshipof Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.Some importantfiguresof the draftingcommittee
were Dr. B.R.Ambedkar,Jawaharlal Nehru,GaneshVasudevMavalankar,C.Rajagopalachari,SanjayPhakey,Balwantrai Mehta,
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,KanaiyalalMunshi,RajendraPrasad,MaulanaAbul KalamAzad,Nalini RanjanGhosh,ShyamaPrasad
Mukherjee,andSandipkumarPatel.More than30 membersof the total draftingcommittee werefromscheduledclass.Some
importantwomenmembersof the committee were SarojiniNaidu,Rajkumari AmritKaur,Durgabai Deshmukh,HansaMehta,and
Vijayalakshmi Pandit.Constitutionof Indiagivesrightstoitscitizenstoselecttheirowngovernment.
Indiagot independence in1947 on15 Augusthoweverbecame aSovereign,DemocraticandRepublicstate afteradoptionof its
Constitution.Inthe National capital,asalute of 21 gunsisgivento the Indian National FlagandthenNational Anthemissung.A
huge parade by the Indianarmedforcesisheldinfrontof the Presidentof Indiaandchief guest.School studentsalsoparti cipate
inthe parade to showtheircreativityinthe formof dance and songs.It alsoincludesstate wise jhanki onthe Rajpathtodisplay
the unityindiversityinIndia.

RepublicDay Indiaisa self-governingcountrysince 15thof August1947. Indiagotindependence fromthe Britishrule on15thof Augustin 1947 whichwe celebrate asIndependence Day,However,on26thof Januarysince 1950 we celebrate asRepublicDay.The Constitutionof Indiacame intoforce on26th of Januaryin 1950, sowe celebrate thisdayas the RepublicDayeveryyear.This yearin 2016, we are celebrating67threpublicdayof India. Republicmeansthe supreme powerof the people livinginthe countryandonlypublichasrightsto electtheirrepresentativesas political leadertoleadthe countryinright direction.So,IndiaisaRepubliccountrywhere publicelectsitsleadersasa president, prime minister,etc.OurGreatIndianfreedomfightershave struggledalotto the “Purna Swaraj”inIndia.Theydidso thattheir future generationsmaylivewithoutstruggle andledcountryahead. The name of our great Indianleadersandfreedomfightersare MahatmaGandhi,Bhagat Singh,ChandraShekherAjad,Lala LajpathRai, Sardar BallabhBhai Patel,Lal bahadurShastri,etc.Theyfoughtcontinuouslyagainstthe Britishruletomake Indiaa free country.We can neverforgettheirsacrificestowardsourcountry.We shouldrememberthemonsuchgreat occasionsand salute them.Ithas become possible justbecause of themthatwe canthinkfromour own mindandlive freelyinournation withoutanyone’sforce. Our firstIndianPresidentwasDr.RajendraPrasadwho saidthat,“We findthe whole of thisvastlandbroughttogetherunderthe jurisdictionof one constitutionandone unionwhichtakesoverresponsibilityforthe welfareof more than320 millionmenand womeninhabitit”.Howshame tosay that still we are fightingwithcrime,corruptionandviolence(inthe formof terrorist,rape, theft,riots,strikes,etc) inourcountry.Again,there isaneedto gettogethertosave our country fromsuch slaveryasi tis pulling our nationback fromgoingto itsmainstream of developmentandprogress.We shouldbe aware of oursocial issueslikePoverty, unemployment,illiteracy,global warming,inequality,etcinordertosolve themtogo ahead. Dr. Abdul Kalamhassaid that“If a country isto be corruptionfree andbecome a nationof beautiful minds,Istronglyfee lthere are three keysocietal memberswhocanmake a difference.Theyare the Father,the Motherand the Teacher”.Asa citizenof the countrywe shouldthinkseriouslyaboutitanddo all possible effortstoleadournation. We are regularlycelebratingthe Republic Day of Indiasince 1950 as on 26th of January in1950 Indiaconstitutioncame intoforce. Indiaisa democraticcountrywhere publicisauthorizedtoelectitsleaderstoleadthe country.Dr.RajendraPrasadwas ourfirst Presidentof India.Since we gotindependence fromthe Britishrule in1947, our countryhas developedalotand countedamon g the powerful countries.Togetherwithsome developments,some drawbackshave alsoarisensuchinequality,poverty, unemployment,corruption,illiteracy,etc.We needtotake a pledge todayforsolvingsuchproblemsinthe societytomake ou r countrya bestcountryof the world. Our national flaghasthree colorsand a wheel inthe centerwith24 equal sticks.All the three colorsof ourIndianNational Flag have some meaning.Topsaffroncolourof our flagdenotesthe strengthandcourage of our country.The middle white colour indicatespeace howeverlowergreencolourindicatesthe growthandprosperity.Thereisanavy blue wheelinthe centerhavi ng 24 equal spokesindicatingDharmaChakraof the greatkingAshoka. We celebrate republicdayon26 Januaryas the Indianconstitutioncame intoforce atthisday in1950. At republicday celebration,abigarrangementtakesplace bythe governmentof IndiainNew Delhi atRajpathinfrontof the IndiaGate.Every year,a chief guest(prime ministerof othercountry) isinvitedtofulfill the purposeof saying“Atithi DevoBhava”aswell as enhance the gloryof the occasion.Indianarmy dorepublicdayparade and take salute of the National Flag.There isalsoa big exhibitionof the Indianculture andtraditiontakesplace bythe differentIndianstatestoshow the UnityinDiversityinIndia. We celebrate iteveryyearon26th of Januaryas our constitutioncame intoeffectonthe same day.Aftergettingindependence fromthe Britishrule in1947, Indiawasnot a self -ruled countrymeansa sovereignstate.Indiabecame aself-governingcountrywhenitsconstitutioncame intoeffectin1950. Indiaisa republiccountrywhichhasnoany kingor queentorule ithoweverpublicof thiscountryisthe ruler.Everyone of us livinginthiscountryhasequal rights,noone can be a president, chiefministerorprime ministerwithoutvotingof us.We have the right to choose ourbestPrime Ministerorotherleaderstoleadthiscountryin the rightdirection.Ourleadersshould be capable enoughtothinkinthe favor of our country.He shouldthinkequallyabouteverystates,villagesandcitiesof the country so that Indiacan be a well developedcountrywithoutanydiscriminationof race,religion,poor,rich,highclass,lowerclass, middle class,illiteracy,etc. Our leadershouldhave dominatingpropertyinthe favorof countryso that eachand everyofficial mayfollow all the rulesand regulationsincorrectway.Everyofficial shouldfollowthe Indianrulesandregulationsinordertomake thiscountrya corruption free country.Onlya corruptionfree Indiawouldreallyandtrulymeanacountry with“UnityinDiversity”.Ourleadersshouldnot understandthemaspecial person,astheyare one from us andhave beenselectedaccordingtotheircapabilitytoleadthe country.Theyhave beenselectedbyustoserve theirtruthful servicestothe Indiafora limitedtime period.So,there shouldnot be any confusionbetweentheirownegoandauthorityandposition. As beinganIndiancitizen,we tooare fullyresponsible aboutourcountry.We shouldmake ourselvesup-to-date,readnewsand be completelyaware of whatare goingon inour country,whatare goingon wrongor right,what are ourleadersdoingandfirstly whatwe are doingfor our country.Earlier,Indiawasa slave countryunderBritishrule whichwasmade independentafterseveral yearsof struggle bythe sacrificesof thousandsof livesof ourfreedomfighters.So,we shouldnotletgoeasilytheirall priceless sacrificesandmake thiscountrya slave countryagain undercorruption,illiteracy,inequalityandothersocial discrimination. Our IndianConstitutionwasdraftedbythe ConstituentAssembly(389members).Ittookaroundthree years(actuallytwoyears, elevenmonthsandeighteendays) tobe written.A DraftingCommitteewassetupbythe ConstituentAssemblyon29thof August in1947 to draft the Constitutionunderthe Chairmanshipof Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.Some importantfiguresof the draftingcommittee were Dr. B.R.Ambedkar,Jawaharlal Nehru,GaneshVasudevMavalankar,C.Rajagopalachari,SanjayPhakey,Balwantrai Mehta, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,KanaiyalalMunshi,RajendraPrasad,MaulanaAbul KalamAzad,Nalini RanjanGhosh,ShyamaPrasad Mukherjee,andSandipkumarPatel.More than30 membersof the total draftingcommittee werefromscheduledclass.Some importantwomenmembersof the committee were SarojiniNaidu,Rajkumari AmritKaur,Durgabai Deshmukh,HansaMehta,and Vijayalakshmi Pandit.Constitutionof Indiagivesrightstoitscitizenstoselecttheirowngovernment. Indiagot independence in1947 on15 Augusthoweverbecame aSovereign,DemocraticandRepublicstate afteradoptionof its Constitution.Inthe National capital,asalute of 21 gunsisgivento the Indian National FlagandthenNational Anthemissung.A huge parade by the Indianarmedforcesisheldinfrontof the Presidentof Indiaandchief guest.School studentsalsoparti cipate inthe parade to showtheircreativityinthe formof dance and songs.It alsoincludesstate wise jhanki onthe Rajpathtodisplay the unityindiversityinIndia.
