This document summarizes Ireland's renewable energy use and progress toward targets. It finds that in 2017: - Overall renewable energy share was 10.7%, achieving 67% of the 2020 target of 16%. - Renewable electricity share was 30.1%, achieving 75% of the 2020 target of 40%. - Renewable heat share was 6.9%, achieving 57% of the 2020 target of 12%. - Renewable transport share was 7.4%, achieving 74% of the 2020 target of 10%. The document compares Ireland's renewable energy use and progress toward targets to other EU countries.
