 In this presentation you will learn the use of relative 
clauses of time ( use of when) and you will see 
different examples of different cultures, also you will 
look for some of them.
Objectives

 Ss will acuire knowledge about relative clauses of 
time. 
 Ss will review what they have been seeing in class. 
 Ss will know more about different festivities of 
others cultures.
 Relative clauses of time refer to a time (date or 
moment) previously mentioned. 
 Relative clauses of time are usually introduced by 
 
the verb “to be”. 
 Structure: 
Date + verb to be + relative clause of time
 
 Examples: 
 Chrismas is when people celebrate the birth of Jesus 
Christ and give gifts to their loved ones. 
 Fools days is the day when people make jokes to 
their friends, most of them are rude.
Activity 
 
 Here you will see different festivities, there only you 
will see just the name of the celebration, you will 
have to look for it, what people do that day and 
make sentences using clauses of time for each 
celebration.
