This document summarizes the design and simulation of a reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna with two diodes. The elliptical patch antenna is divided by a slot with two square slots for placing diodes. Simulations were conducted in Ansoft HFSS for different diode states (ON/OFF). Results showed the antenna achieved dual-band operation at 8.5306GHz and 8.7143GHz by changing the diode states. Return loss, VSWR, gain and directivity were calculated for each diode configuration. Peak gain reached 3.15dBi and return loss was -18.08dB. Overall, the antenna demonstrated reconfigurability of frequency and radiation properties through the diode switching states.
Compact Digital Television (DTV) Antenna for Indoor Usage IJECEIAES
A compact indoor digital antenna for digital terrestrial television is proposed. The design of the antenna begins with the material selection to construct the antenna by using CST software with a standard monopole antenna design. The antenna is then simulated and optimized. A bandwidth of 290 MHz (46.14%) between 500 MHz and 790 MHz is achieved with the antenna gain more than 3 dBi. Simulated results is used to demonstrate the performance of the antenna. The simulated return losses, together with the radiation patterns and gain are presented and discussed.

Investigation of Integrated Rectangular SIW Filter and Rectangular Microstrip...IJASCSE
This paper presents an investigation based on the resonant circuit approach to characterize an integrated microwave filter and antenna from a lumped element prototype. This approach is used to design an integrated filter and antenna to reduce the overall size of the physical dimensions of the RF/microwave front-end subsystem. This study focuses on the integration of a rectangular Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) filter with a rectangular microstrip patch antenna to produce a filtering and radiating element in a single device. The physical layouts of the SIW filter and rectangular microstrip patch antenna based on single- and dual-mode will be developed. To prove the concept, the integrated microwave filter and antenna at a center frequency of 2 GHz is demonstrated and validated through simulation and laboratory experiments. The experimental performance yielded promising results that were in good agreement with the simulated results. This study is beneficial for microwave systems, given that the reduction of the complexity of design and physical dimension as well as cost are important for applications such as base stations and multiplexers in wireless communication systems.

In this paper we propose a rectangular microstrip patch antenna with inset fed which can
operate at 2.4 GHz (IEEE 802.11b) & 5.8 GHz (IEEE 802.11a) WLAN applications. Various slot is
cut into the antenna structure which changes the surface current path resulting in dual resonant

Design of Ku-band power divider using Substrate Integrated Waveguide techniquejournalBEEI
A Ku-band Substrate Integrated Waveguide power divider is proposed. In this work, the SIW power divider is designed with T-junction configuration. The SIW technique enables the power divider to have low insertion loss, low cost and features uniplanar circuit. An additional of metallic via hole is added in the center of the junction to improve the return loss performance of the Tjunction SIW power divider. The simulated input return losses at port 1 are better than 27 dB, and features equal power division of about -3.1 dB ±0.4 dB at both output ports across frequency range of 13.5-18 GHz. The SIW power divider is fabricated, and the measurement results show acceptable performances. Since there are some losses contributed by the SMA connector of the fabricated SIW power divider prototype, an additional SIW transmission line is simulated and fabricated to analyze the connector loss.
Design of antennas for the latest upcoming standards of WLAN is considered as a key challenge in the RF Communication Engineering. Micro-strip antennas are supposed to have some quality features in mobile and wireless communication systems. Their weight and size are reduced and they are capable of having low power capacity. All these interesting features enabled these type of antennas suitable for the communication of IEEE 802.11ax-2019 high speed WLANs. Shape of these antennas can be designed in an efficient manner to achieve required gain and bandwidth. In this paper the concept of circular polarization has been introduced along with compact design of antennas in order to achieve return loss and axial ratio of less than -10 dB and 3dB respectively. Antenna has been designed and simulated on CST MW studio software and usage of dual bands 2.4 and 5.2GHz having circular polarization is properly elucidated for 802.11ax-2019.
Electrically Controlled Frequency Reconfigurable Comb Type Antenna for Wirele...IDES Editor
Electrically controlled frequency reconfigurable
comb type antenna is presented in this paper. Reconfigurability
is achieved by placing a PIN diode in each slot of the comb
type antenna. The proposed antenna has very compact size
and works on 8 different bands depending upon the state and
number of PIN diode (ON/OFF). Ansoft Designer 7 is used to
simulate the equivalent model for the PIN diode and proposed
antenna is fabricated on FR4 substrate using photolithography
process. As the antenna reconfigure its resonating frequency
from 1st band to 8th band, directivity increases from 3.28 to 4.02
and radiation efficiency increases from 75.3% to 93.45% due
to the improvement in impedance matching at higher band.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
