50. What is the essence of my
VISUAL ALPHABETS ?
VISUAL ALPHABETS were born out of all my odds in ART LEARNNING. I am poor in
human figure anatomical drawing. I had intense desire to draw and imagine in
visual forms. Ideas,Interpretations,Visual Thinking, and Communication all based on
strong desire to express aesthetically. My realization of being poor in drawing
motivated me positively to take object drawing seriously and turn that into these
said VISUAL ALPHABETS. My father encouraged me to take up crosshatch rendering
technique seriously and use it to concertize the said visual language which became
my THUMB IMPRESSION. Geometrical Forms also came to my rescue in realization
of this visual language. I have mentioned in earlier slide the artists who inspired me
to be WHO I AM TODAY. Finally I am in my own competition. Not in the race.
Yes, ART cannot be just HOBBY it is very serious aspect of human civilization.
51. I am all the time impressed by these lines, they may not be directly
relevant to this presentation but have been influencing factor on
these VISUAL ALPHABETS.
“Crafty men condemn IDEAS, Average men admire them, WISE men use
them”….By François Bacon. This I got from India’s famous Graphic Designer Roby D’Silva
“From whole to part and from known to unknown”
“Act thy well your part and people will honor you.”
“Be a fine artist first then only you can be good applied artist.”
“Take care of the present and Future will take care of itself”
My Late Father Artist, Prof. R.P.Joshi always use to give me insight of ART
through these lines. Today after forty plus years as I grew they have become
more meaningful.
