Visual Argument Essay
In the visual argument that I created I wanted to portray the idea of deforestation and how it affects the animals and the wildlife living in these
forests and other habitats.So In my image I included an endangered red squirrel leaving its destroyed habitat while carrying a bindle. This visual

To do this I placed the squirrel in the bottom left corner, not to far away from the middle then and I put the chopped up logs near the top right
corner in the middle ground. The rest of the picture it shows smoke and dead trees for the background. My goal was to balance out the three
concepts but to have the squirrel and the bindle be the main focus. I also included vector lines using the pathway so that the audience will look at
the squirrel, the bindle and then the background. My intended message is to exhibit the disaster of deforestation in a mellow and melancholy way. I
chose this genre because I thought that it is outrageous that animals are being forced out of their homes. I also believe that we can do something
about this, and although some people are trying to resolve this dilemma every one needs to pitch in in order for the endangered animals to be saved.
So really the general population just needs to be motivated to take action instead of seeing the problem feeling bad about it then moving on. In my

author demonstrates this by using color. The author used the color black, bright yellow and red. The artist used the color black to create contrast

Visual arguments can be very useful in terms of passing a message along to the public. Common examples of an advertisement would be seen on
TV ads, possibly a poster, billboard, and commercials. An ad that caught my eye is a powerful image portraying verbal abuse. It shows a man
screaming at a woman with a fist coming out of the man's mouth and punching the woman in the face. It basically relays the message of how verbal
abuse is just as bad or hurtful as physical violence and abuse. This ad also attempts to target the emotion of the viewers. Her facial expression is key
in this ad. There are no textual elements but the picture is strong enough to the point that texts is no longer needed. The ad does not put us in the
situation but it shows us how verbal abuse can be extremely hurtful. Collingwood argues that other sentient beings are able to engage with art and get a

Visual arguments agreeably have more information conveyed through them, opposed to standard written arguments. Interpretation of a visual
argument is important for the person presenting the argument, because if the visual gives off an interpretation opposite what the person was trying

For the photograph that I took, I decided to follow Weston's theme and photograph an organic object with interesting features. I needed to find
something with a vivid texture so that the photograph could allow the viewer to almost feel what I could. I searched throughout my room until finally,
I found what I was looking for. It was a shell from the Pacific Ocean that I had brought back with me from Mexico. The shell had off–whites blended
into browns and reds. It also had ridges running from the origin of the shell, to the outside. I found the situation to be somewhat ironic considering that

Each ridge is visible and grows in size as it migrates from the origin to the edge, which shows how perfect and mathematical nature can be at times.
The change in color pattern is also very visible. There is even a small chip in the shell can be seen at the top left corner. Some of the lint of the
peacoat is visible in the picture, but it only gives enough so much as to emphasize the texture of the backdrop. When I went to print the picture, I
edited the picture so that it would look black and white like the rest of Weston's photographs. I also added a little more contrast to the picture so
that the lines of the shell would look a tiny bit sharper because I wanted to make up for not having a 64 aperture. In my opinion, the photograph
holds a very close resemblance to Weston's pictures of shells in which he tried to capture all of their natural beauty. I like the way the photo turned
out, but wish I could have had a better area to take the picture instead of laying on the ground and using books. The picture may have come out a
hair more detailed if I would have had a tripod, but I don't think it made that big of a difference. I believe that I was able to try and replicate Weston's

I can display my visual argument in different channels. For instance, If I add some changes I can display it on TV as a short cartoon film, also, I
can display it as a poster in the public area. And to make it more efficient I can display it in social media for a social media user, or I can display it
