 My questionnaire was aimed at people who
like to listen to music, especially K-Pop.
 My goal was having 15 people answer my
survey and I did achieve this as 20 people
actually answered my survey.
 By doing this questionnaire, I wanted to find
out things that my audiences like so that I
could incorporate them into my front cover,
contents page and double-page spread.
 My first question was
“What is your gender?”
 By asking this question I
would be able to exactly
know who my main
audience is.
 My results showed that
out of the 20 people who
answered by survey, 95%
of were females (19
people) and 5% were
males (1 males).
 This helped me
understand that my main
audience would be girls
which have me a bit of an
idea about the sort of
things they would like to
see in a magazine.
 My second question was “What
is your age?”
 This question enables me to
understand which sort of things
would like in terms of their age
e.g. Younger people like more
colour.
 My results showed that 90% of
the people were aged 16-20 and
5% were either 21-25 and 26-30.
 This suggests that many of my
target audience is quite young as
there were 18 people who were
aged 16-20.
 By doing this, I understood my
target audience and kept in my
that my target audience is young
so I should make my magazine
look appealing to people aged
between 16-20.
 I left this question as a multiple
choice question because I didn‟t
want to restrict my audience to a
certain genre. I wanted to know
more about my audiences‟
music preferences rather than
just one genre they like/love.
 My results shows that 75% of
my audience listens to K-Pop
which is then followed by Pop at
60%. The third highest is R&B
which accounts 40% of the total.
 Through this, I was quite
content about the fact that there
are quite a few people who do
listen to K-Pop so my magazine
will have a chance to be sold.
 This question gave me a insight
to as how many and how much
do people actually read a music
magazine and if I was to publish
mine, would they read it too.
 The results shows that 40% of the
total said that they never read
music magazines, making it top
highest. This then followed by
„once a year‟ at 35% of the total.
 The results show that majority of
my audience do not read a music
magazine and this is because of
the fact that many young people
do not like to spend money or
buying things like magazines
(especially a music one)
 Q5 is a question which helped
me decided how and when my
magazine would circulate.
 My results showed that 68.4%
of the audience never buys a
music magazine- reason being
the fact that younger generation
don‟t like to spend money on
magazines. This is followed by
„yearly‟ which accounts 15.8%
of the total.
 I decided to circulate my
magazine monthly as most of
the magazines are published
monthly and 10.5% of the
people are likely to buy a
magazine monthly which
helped me decided that people
will still buy my magazine.
 I asked a multiple choice
question again but this time I
restricted their choices to 2. I
did this because I wanted to
know the top 2 things they
would want to see.
 My results showed me that
65% of surveyors chose
„Exclusive interviews‟ as the
most feature they want to see.
This is then followed by
Posters and Photos/Images of
artists (tied) at 45% of the
total.
 This gave an idea of what sort
of things do I need to include
on my contents page and also
what my double-page spread
should be about.
 On my contents page, in the
regulars section, I planned to
have a section called
“Giveaway”.
 This question helped me decide
what my giveaways should be
and also what are the main
things my audience buys the
magazine because of.
 The question was also a multiple
choice question as I wanted to
know more than just one of the
audience‟s choices.
 The results showed that
favourite artist interviews,
account 63.1% were chosen as
the largest thing that
encouraged them to buy a music
magazine. This is followed by
CDs giveaways at 52.6%
 This question helped me
decide how much should I
price my magazine so that
people will be willing to pay
for it.
 The results showed that 65%
of the surveyors would be
willing to pay £1-2.99 and
35% will pay £3-4.99. No one
would be willing to be pay
£5+.
 This shows that many people
want a magazine for a fairly
cheap price, not too
expensive once again
referring back to the idea that
young people don‟t like
spending money on
magazines.
 By doing this question, I
wanted to find out which sort
of form would my audience
want to receive their magazine
in.
 The results showed that 60% of
the total surveyors wanted
their magazine both digitally
(online) and physically (hard
copy). This is then followed by
„physical‟ at 30%.
 My original plans were to only
distribute this magazine
physically; however, this has
be altered due to the results as
majority of my audience also
wants their copy of the
magazine digitally along with
a physical copy.
