What Kind Of Media Institution
 Might Distribute Your Media
     Products And Why?

                      By Fahima Begum
Our film is called Like It Was Yesterday and the genre of
the film is thriller. Examples of other thriller we found was
The House At The End Of The Street. Which was
distributed by Relativity Media Alliance Films. This was a
big budget film as it was $6.9million and the distribution
strategy generated publicity by showing trailers on
television, posters and on transports. Similarly we would
like our film to be distributed by Relativity Media Alliance
Film because this company might like the genre thriller.
More over from research I have found that Alliance
film also have been producing low budget
thriller/horror films such as Insidious, which was
released in 2011 and Sinister in 2012 as well as
Dark Skies which was released in 2013.
We would start of by only showing it in 3 cinemas in each
city because it is cheaper and it is costly to get film reels
from one cinema to another. Another way we would help
distribute is by showing snippets in young adult festivals so
we can see their reactions and know if we have met our
target audience.
