1. Question 5: how did you attract/ address your audience?
I suggested that my target audience would be females who enjoy watching hybrid psychological
thriller films. My movie is based on a trouped girl that thinks someone or something is taking over
her body and using her body to bad things to. But not knowing she is the one that is doing those
things. She has a split personality but not knowing what she is doing at that moment of time. More
like the movie Black Swan when she thought that women was out to get her and at the end of the
movie she kills the women but not knowing she killed herself. A girl is shown throughout and I didn’t
include any males. Our audience feedback gave us an interesting idea as they said it could be about a
duality change and the idea of good side gone and a bad personality developing for the protagonist. I
definitely took this idea on board and my peer feedback suggests that it was success.
I have addressed my audience by using particular actors which would appeals to the audience o the
horror/thriller genre. For example, we used a strong independent female which will attract the
female audience which is part of our target audience.
Killing Is an unfortunate everyday occurrence which is an example of social realism. Films which
touch on this topic are often poplar with the target audience of 15-25 year old which is my target
audience for my thriller/horror movie. The fact that they see her on the floor dyeing ad smiling
shows how strong and fearless she and she is not scared of anything would appealed the females
audience on how strong they can be. People might want to watch the film more because it is against
the stenotype.
The set and location which I have used in our thrilled would attract our target audience because the
use of the woods as a background shows her fearlessness and the woods is more popular in horror
movies which will also attract our target audience. Also the fact the protagonist is teenager who gets
bullied can relate to this because most teenagers foes though situation like this.
The font in my title sequences that I used resembled the personality of the protagonist it shows he
famine side of her.
Films that I was inspired by that our target audience are attracted too.
These films are what our target audience are attracted to so by inducing the feel of these films in our
title sequence we attracted our audience.
