2. My magazine is an Indie/Rock music magazine. The double page spread article
for the magazine is about a local pianist and composer Laura Askew. This will
appeal to those who are interested in Indie music and to aspiring musicians. The
target audience are musicians and/or enjoy the Indie/Rock genre. The magazine
will be for those interested in performing music or those who enjoy seeing people
performing.
Moreover the magazine is not aimed at a specific gender as it features gender
neutral colours and will include a variety of musical artists that are not aimed at a
specific sex. However in a recent study the majority of the audience for indie/rock
magazines are female, as a result I placed more focus into my magazine
appealing to them.
