1. IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT USE, DEVELOP
OR CHALLENGE FORMS AND
CONVENTIONS OF REAL
PRODUCTS?

2. MUSIC VIDEO/CONVENTIONS
I have chosen to do a music video, digi-pak and a advert
in a magazine for my tasks. I have looked at many
different real products of music videos to help me create
my own music video. I have looked at using a few
different costumes for different parts of filming. I have
chosen to do this because there are many music videos
that do this. I have also looked at the different camera
angles that are use in real products and tried to interpret
them into my own music video. I have also added the
logo that is on my digi-pak so that you know that the
two are connected with each other.

3. LOCATION
I have used the same location for the majority of my filming. It
looks very different because it is in different places around that
location. I have chosen this location because I am able to change
the lighting as well as get a variety of different shots around the
location. I have also used this location because it was easy for
my actor and myself to get to without any major problems.
Another reason is because it is not used a lot so was open quite
a lot so it was easily accessible at certain times.

4. MUSIC
I have used the song Kill Em With Kindness By Selena Gomez as
the music to my music video and I have had to get my actor to
lip-sync to the song as accurately as possible so when filming I
had the song on in the background so that I knew what part of
the song the lip-syncing was to. As well as where about in the
video it was. I filmed each part of the song a few times in
different places and at different angles so I could have some sort
of idea on which place/angle that I preferred.

5. SIMILARITIES TO MY STYLE
MODEL
For my digipak I have used Elton Johns first ever album as my
style model for my own. I have used this because it is a simple
image that creates quite a simple background.

6. ADVERT POSTER
I have looked at many different style models to try and come up
with an idea of what I want to do for my own. I have decided that
I wanted a poster that was not going to use a full A4 page for my
advert. I decided that I wanted a half page for my advert. I have
used the same font that I have used for my digipak on my poster
so that there is some synergy between the two tasks.

7. MUSIC VIDEO
During my video there are some moments where there are no
lyrics and just music so I have got some shots of my actor
dancing around and looking like she is having fun. This relates
with the song because it is like she is ignoring every bad thing
that other people are saying and just having fun.
