Acid wash is again becoming popular on denim jeans and we are going to see more of acid washes in the coming seasons. Here, let’s have a quick look at the acid washing process. An acid wash finish treatment creates significant contrasts in the color of the denim material. It can be done on Indigo & Sulphur base fabric garments. As the randomly faded, acid washed style came into vogue in 1980s, the process of treating denim in such a way began to become increasingly refined. Some tried to use a method similar to the stonewashing, yet the fading did not occur as dramatically or throughout the material. Acid-washed on apparel, (Phosphoric Acid is used in the process, acid would react with fabric surface and destroy the fabric), is washed with thermocol ball, pumic stones or until it is bleached almost white. During Acid wash, thermocol ball or pumic stones are used. By the action of thermocol ball or pumic stones, irregular fading affect is developed on the heavy garments like denims, thick canvas/twill, and sweater.

It is a crisp details about the critical review of high active sports wear. This ppt contains more pictorial examples for the theory mentioned in the review paper. This ppt also gives an overall idea from fibre to garments.
GORE-TEX fabrics must be cleaned regularly to ensure optimal performance. Dirt, residue and body oils will not only impact the garment's breathability, but will also hinder the DWR (durable water repellent) causing the jacket to wet-out. In order to stay warm and dry, cleaning waterproof-breathable fabrics is a priority. At the same time, you must take special care when cleaning technical fabrics. The following webinar provides tips and suggestions for cleaning GORE-TEX jackets.

It is developed as a product for producing gray cast on denim during hypochlorite bleaching process.
To overcome this disadvantage the expensive process used is laccase enzyme. Denimax GC is the chemical substitute of laccase enzyme.
Produces the desired gray cast on denim
Enables consistent gray cast or shade, unlike in case of laccase enzyme where shade or cast variation cannot be controlled.
Eliminates use of expensive laccase-enzyme. Shortens the extra step of 30- 45 mins of enzyme treatment

Thermal yellowing
Causes for yellowing during heat setting or molding :
Decomposition of lubricants/spin finishes (yellowing of substances on the fibres)
Decomposition of cationic softeners (yellowing of substances on the fibres)
Reaction of monomers, oligomers or functional groups (yellowing of fibre itself)
Especially PA: migration of antioxidants from within the fiber to the surface. [ yellow reaction products with nitrous oxides, especially in gas heated stenters]
Yellowing of substances on the fibre :
Scouring the fabric prior to heat treatment
Pre-emulsifying of spin finishes and lubricants by padding with suitable products and washing off during subsequent dyeing/finishing (especially important in case of micro fibres)

Oligomer & the importance of Oligomer remover-------
Oligomer is a smaller chain length of polyester made up of two or more molecules of basic ethylene terephthlate i.e. dimer or trimer, produced as a side reaction during the manufacture of polyester. The Oligoester because of its smaller chain length is in the form of a fine powder which is entrapped is basic polymer and migrates to the surface during high temperature polyester dyeing.
Higher the depth more is the displacement of Oligomer to the fibre surface. Typically polyester fibres contain between 1.5-3.5% by mass of low molecular esters, the principal oligomer being cyclic tris (ethylene terephthalate) with smaller quantities of dimer, pentamer & other compounds. Approximately 0.1 % to 1.0 % of Oligomer is produced as a side reaction in the manufacture of basic polyester.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

3. What is Moisture Management ? The ability of a garment to transport moisture away from the skin to the garments outer surface Moisture management often refers to the transport of both moisture vapor & liquid away from the body. Moisture vapor can pass through openings between filters of yarns. In the case of cotton or other hydrophilic fibers the fiber can serve as a buffer by absorbing moisture vapor & adding to the comfort properties of a fabric. Liquid water ( or perspiration) must be wicked into a fabric structure & then evaporate from the outside of the fabric.
4. Textile as a barrier to comfort Textile commonly worn act as a barrier between the external Environment & the human body. The behavior of moisture in Various fibers is different owing to their physical & chemical Properties making it uncomfortable to the wearer- unless the Moisture is carried away by a natural drying process or aided by the apparel. Polyester is being increasingly used in apparel, especially due to Its strength, durability & fastness etc. Unfortunately owing to its Inherent properties it can not absorb & transport moisture from Body sweat. In some structures such as polyester knits, the Water absorption of sweat released as perspiration, however such modification either by fabric construction fiber & or chemical treatment make the fabric absorbent thereby retaining moisture inside the fabric for long period of time. Such retention will then result into “ post exercise chill” as the retaining moisture starts absorbing the body heat to evaporate from fabric.
5.
6. Limitations While the current Technologies to Improve the Absorption Properties, there Are questions on Durability of the Performance, the Requirement of Process conditions & silicone films, Which tend to Break during use & washing. So what is Comfort all about To be able to create Comfort in apparel & more particularly in Intimate wear or Sportswear, the textile Substrate has to be Programmed to quickly Attract moisture & Release moisture even More quickly leading to Swift drying/ This Releases valuable area Of the apparel for the Next round of absorption
