The document compares the process of creating a preliminary school magazine to the full production of a final magazine product. For the preliminary magazine, the author created flat plans without inspiration or structure, used one photo shoot location without documentation, and chose fonts and colors without research. For the final product, the author conducted extensive research, planning, development, and corrections which included inspiration-based flat plans, modeled costumes, location recces and assessments, font research, and focus group-informed colors. Feedback from a rough cut also enabled improvements. The final product included an extra page and more professional layout, showing greater development, production, and research skills learned between the two projects.
