Media technologies played a key role in the production, planning, and presentation of the student's music video and website. Software like Prezi and PowerPoint were used for research and planning, while Weebly was chosen over Blogger to create an accessible website with a better layout for the student's work. Premiere Pro was used to edit video clips and assemble the final music video, applying skills learned from past projects, while Photoshop helped design an album cover and magazine ad, with new effects learned like splattering and image dissolving.

1. Media technologies played a role in my media production, research, planning
and evaluation changing the outcome of my music video and how my work is
presented on my website. In my research and planning, I used such software’s
and websites like Prezi and PowerPoint to present various texts or images
although, a lot of my write up is presented on the page of my site, rather than
being presented through he embedding of another form of presentation. I have
had previous experience using these, in my foundation project and other
projects, which meant I had the knowledge and understanding to apply the skills
to my advanced portfolio. I have also learnt new skills from using them, like
designing my own layout or how to embed these onto Weebly.
Weebly is a site that allows you to create your own website. I decided to use this
instead of Blogger as I believed it allowed for more creative freedom and a better
layout for my work, that is more accessible to the viewer. Making it easier to find
a particular piece of work, through the use of drop down bars.

2. For my music video, I had access to various software's to design and edit my album
cover and magazine advert. Premiere pro was used to edit clips and out together my
final video, which I have had previous experience using. For instance, in my AS
coursework I created a short video that had to contain various camera angles and also
include the ‘180 degree rule’ and ‘match-on-action’ and also for my film opening. This
gave me transferable skills that I could use for my music video, like how to use the
editing and add it into my video to create an effect and colour grade my video.
Photoshop is another software that was used to create my album cover and magazine
advert which were successful. Having been familiar with it, I had no issues using it but I
did learn how to create a splatter effect and make the subject of the image dissolve.
