Research and Planning The equipment that was used for the construction of the research and planning stages:For research and planning I used various websites which are:www.google.co.uk- I used this website to construct research for my video and ancillary tasks so that I had a good idea what to include and what elements would look best for my target audience, which meant finding images and information on the music industry.

3. www.poorpicasso.com- This is the website of the band I created my products for and I used their website to gain a better understanding of the band and the genre that they base their music on.

4. www.wix.com- I used this website to create my Wix blog to hold all of my stages of construction for these tasks and I used this site because it was the most suitable for my project because it could be edited and designed to fit the genre and tone of the tasks.

5. www.youtube.com – I used this site to carry out research from other music videos which I analysed to give me a better idea of what to include in my video and to help me gain inspiration for my video.Continued......www.prezi.com – I used this site to create an analysis of the current music industry so as to give myself a better idea of my existing target audience and of the major music owners such as Sony and EMI to show how the music industry runs.

6. Microsoft Word 2007- I used Microsoft word to create my video analysis's and other research so that I could refer to them at a later date and o that they were saved onto a computer so there was less worry about losing them.

Microsoft PowerPoint 2007- I used Microsoft PowerPoint in my evaluation stage in order to create my concept, treatment and justification element of my tasks and I used this software to do this because it was the easiest to use and refer back to with the information it holds.HardwareDigital Camera- I used a digital camera for my research and planning stage because I had to take still pictures of my storyboard which I create by hand and my designs in order to place them onto the computer as a jpeg or onto a document so as to then place them onto my blog .Construction Ancillary TaskI used different software and hardware to construct my Advert and my digi-pack which are as follows:SoftwareAdobe Photoshop – This was the main software I used to create my advert and my digi-pack where I could placed pictures and effects in order to create the image I wanted for both if these tasks. Even though I had used this software before, by carrying out these tasks it has made me more confident with using it as a software and has been beneficial to me because now I can use the different effects that are included on Photoshop, I know how to manipulate an image and I can create images from scratch using various shapes and colours.

8. Adobe Premier Pro.- I used this software for these tasks because I was able to take still shots from my video to include on the advert and on my digi-pack and place them into Photoshop to make all of the tasks relate to one another .Construction of the VideoWhen creating my video I used many items of equipment and one main software to help me create the video I wanted for the song I chose. TapesI hadn’t used a camera such as the one I used for filming before this project which meant that I learnt a great deal of how to use it like the focus and zoom on the camera and how to play and rewind the collected footage. By using the other hardware that are listed above I learnt how to upload footage onto the computer by using the USB cable, I also learnt how to use a tripod and set it up and how to placed the tape into the camera.Memory Stick

12. Lighting Continued.....SoftwareAdobe premier Pro 0.8I used this software in order to upload my video and edit the footage that I had filmed to make my finished product. I had only briefly used this software before this task but found it easy to work around which made creating the finished product easier. From using this software it has benefitted my knowledge because I now know who to apply transitions and effects such as ‘luma key’ ,which is the lighting effect I used throughout my video , and how to use timing variations in order to create the slow motion effect and this meant that I could edit the video how I wanted it. Although I have better knowledge of this software I don’t think that I would use this editing software in the future because whilst creating my video the software did crash or freeze and at times was slow responding which meant production was slow and sometimes stressful which therefore meant other deadlines had to be postponed and my video could have been created in the deadline provided on my timescale. This could have been avoided by using a different software to edit my video which is what I will do in future such as using moviemaker .

Construction of Evaluation Microsoft PowerPointI used this software to create my evaluation because I thought it would be an easier and more creative way of producing the information then to have the evaluation produced onto a word document.Adobe PhotoshopI used Photoshop for my evaluation questions because it mean that I could screen shot my digi-pack and my advert in stead of inserting them as a jpeg because it takes les time to copy and paste then to insert an image.www.facebook.com I used this social networking site in order to upload and gain feedback for my all of my tasks so that the comments and suggestions could be analysed and evaluated. I used this site in particular because it one of the most popular social networking sites on the internet and is used by the majority of my target audience who are the people I wanted to gain feedback from about my project because it is target at them.

14. ConclusionI have used many different new technologies in order to create my video and my ancillary task in which I have learnt many new skills and gained more knowledge of the hardware and software that I used which will benefit me for future projects or tasks.
