Photoshop was the main media software used to create the poster and soap opera magazine. The author was familiar with Photoshop from the previous year and was able to quickly remember skills and further develop their abilities. Various tools in Photoshop like the cloning stamp, crop, brush, and magic eraser tools were used to blend, crop, and remove unwanted colors and backgrounds from images. The text tool was used to change fonts and the rectangle tool created a striking label for the magazine headlines. Premier was also used, with the split clip and razor tools enabling the creation of a mirror scene to show a character's duality.

Because I hadpreviouslyusedthissoftware the yearbefore,Iwasquicklyable torememberthe
skillsIacquiredfromlastyearAS media.Thisprovedtobe greatlybeneficial fordevelopingasoap
operamagazine andposteras was able tofurtherextendmyskills. AlthoughIalreadyknew the
fundamentalsof Photoshop,Istill learntnew skillswhichIimplementedintothe designsof my
ancillaryandmaintask.
I quicklysetaboutre-learningwhateachtoolsdoand how I can use themeffectivelytocreate a
productwhichis worthcalling‘professional’.Thiswasmyaimfromthe start of the project,tocreate
all my tasksto the higheststandard I can fromusingthe skillsIhad previouslylearnedand
incorporatingthemintoanewproduct.
I usedthe cloningstamptool to
clone part of the image formy
poster;thiswasdone in orderto
blendtwoimages.The imported
image wouldbe placedontothe
background,as if itwere withinthe
picture frame.
Thiswas a useful tool indoingwhat
I neededtoaccomplish,it’ssimple
to use and enabledme toembed
the picture intothe background.
The crop tool wasessential for
croppingimagesintoplace inthe soap
operamagazine.Thiswasverysimple
to use but veryeffective ineliminating
blackedgesor white backgroundin
the image.
However,the crop tool was notalways
efficientasI couldnotuse it to
eliminatelittle white spotswhichwere
connectedtothe original background
of the image.

The magic rubbertool is the tool I
usedmostfor takingawaylarge
blocksof unwantedbackground.
Thiswas the tool whichI usedmost
effectivelyforplacingmodelsinto
my soapmagazine frontcoverand
my poster.
The magic rubbermay at timestake
away partsof the image whichI did
wantbut I was able to move past
thisproblembyusingothertools
effectivelywiththe magicrubber
tool.
The texttool was usedinorderto
change the font andenabledme
to decide ona fontwhichI really
enjoyedthe lookof.While fiddling
withthe somewhatendless
optionsIdidn’tdecide ona font
whichI trulylike the lookof.Soby
usingthe website ‘DaFonts’Iwas
able to finda fontand downloadit
ontoPhotoshopanduse it formy
magazine.

3. Premier
Splitclip:
The splitcliptool wasusedforthe mirror scene and thiseffectivelypresentedhow the character
was tornbetweeninsanityandsanity.The tool wasusedinorderto splitthe clipsandput themsi de
by side,sowhenthe characterlooksintothe mirror theybothwouldbe doingdifferentactions.
Overall,Spiltclipwasanessentialpartof the trailerandwithoutitwe couldnot utilize ourcreativity
to our fullestextent.
Razor tool:
The razor tool was the tool usedtoseparate the twoclipsand put theminthe same frame,thiswas
the tool whichwe usedto make the mirror scene possible.
Lastly,the rectangle tool wasused
for a backgroundlabel forthe text
regardingthe headlinesof the soap
operamagazine.Thiscreateda
strike outeffectaroundthe textand
thiswas effective inshowingthe
importanttag lineswhichwere
presentonthe soap operafront
cover.
