2. Since starting the construction of this product , I have learnt about many new different
types of technologies this includes the use of software ( programs on a computer )
and hardware ( physical components of a computer ) .
To take my pictures I used and SLR camera from this I learnt some camera techniques
as to angle I should take my pictures , how to take a clear close up and how not to
take pictures also I learnt how to use the flash on the camera and get the camera
manual focused on the pictures .

3. One piece of software I have learnt about is Pixlr , Pixlr is a
software similar to Photoshop , I used pixlr to help make a
front cover draft . I had previously used this but not to the
extent of creating a magazine , therefore my knowledge has
been expanded. I found out about the free transform tool ,
along with holding the shift button down to keep
transformation sizing set. The free transform button helps
in changing sizes of objects . Also with pixlr I have learnt
about how to effectively use layers in organising text and
images on the magazine . Layers work well in overlapping
objects on the magazine .
‘ Da font ` was one website that was used a lot in the
Process . Da font was also used a lot in the creation
Of my magazine . This was effective as it shows my
Research rather than using pre-downloaded fonts . I used this
program to create my masthead I found that it gave me
exactly what I was looking for . The only one problem I had
with this site was that once I found my font you had to
download it but instead I print screen it then cropped it .

4. When it came to my research , planning and final products I used web
Applications that I have never used before such as prezi, slideshare
and powtoon what I gained from this was experience on how to be able to construct
Your work in different ways and forms rather than just the same Microsoft word .
I used prezi for my evaluation and genre research I found that I favoured
It a lot more than I did PowerPoint as it was a lot more of a creative approach .
It was a very easy to use and helps makes the work more presentable .
I have never used slideshare before so at first it was
Difficult for me to understand how to use it . Throughout
My production slideshare was used in my evaluation
The purpose of me using the slideshare was to upload my
PowerPoint presentation and it converts to a web page were you
Can then embed it and upload it to wikispace .
Powtoon is an animated website which is used also for the evaluation
The reason why some many different software's have been chosen is so
That it makes it less complicated and long to read but with the use of
Animated pictures it makes the evaluation much interesting.

5. The internet was immensely helpful to me during this project, not only during the
research section of the project but also through the creation of my magazine and
wikispace which allowed me to document the work that I’d done.
During the research stage I used the internet to help me look into the forms and
conventions of magazines and do some basic research about magazines before I
went to begin my magazine during my detailed research.
Another aspect of the internet that was practically important was the wikispace. On
the wikispace I was able to document all of my research and show it in a clear
and concise way that wouldn't have been achieved by evidence such as pictures
if it had been handwritten. The wikispace was also used to keep a track of the
skills and experience I’ve gained through the production and post-production
stages of making my magazine. This proved extremely helpful when coming to do
the evaluation.
