I feel that Bauer media would distribute my
media magazine because the company is a major distributer of
music magazines including Q and Kerrang!, both in which I have
taken major influence from in producing my magazine. Therefore,
my magazine would fit into the type of magazine genre Bauer
would be interested in distributing.

Bauer also claims to reach to ‘over nineteen million UK adults
every week.’ The attraction of a wide audience would mean my
magazine would gain more attention, so this magazine would be
ideal to distribute my magazine. Bauer’s catchphrase is “We think
popular” and this would represent my magazine as rock music is
so popular among such a wide audience. The institutution offers
over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as online, TV and
radio stations.
IPC
Or, another media institution which would fit my media magazine is IPC. IPC is known to distribute
magazines which are more oriented around lifestyle, and hobbies, in contrast to Bauer Media, which
is more oriented around TV, radio, and music. For example, IPC distribute magazines such as:

IPC includes more than 60 brands, and creates content for online, mobile, tablets and events. IPC is
also the UK's leading consumer magazine publisher, which appeals to 26m UK adults – their website
also reaches to over 25 million users globally every month, which would produce a mass number of
people looking at my magazine, therefore generating more sales through the wider audience created
through my magazine not only being advertised through stores, but also online.
CONCLUSION…
To conclude, I would chose Bauer Media to publish my magazine, because the
magazine specialises in media, TV and radio whereas IPC specialises more so
in hobbies and lifestyle choices. IPC does generate a bigger audience, however
I feel the Bauer audience would generate an audience which is more specific
to my target audience, which is people who are widely interested in the media,
and most specifically, music.
