Working Title:
Murdered soul suspect 2
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose:
The product’s purpose is to entertain the masses and I will achieve this by adding certain aspects
of games that have worked out really well in the past such as mystery and survival.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre:
It is an interactive video game.
What sort of product is it
Content
It is about a detective who gets shot by a convict and dies he then comes back to the world as a
ghost to find his murderer. I would put in ghosts that will help you who will be positive colours such
as blue green and white and I will have enemy ghosts who will be coloured in negative colours
such as black grey and red with a splash of yellow in each one. Whilst the detective he cannot
contact the living world without causing a commotion so he can’t communicate with any living
members of society and so he can’t call out for easy help.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience:
My audience I believe will be predominantly be 16-18 year olds who are male and play games a lot
and are also students. I believe the project would appeal to them because of the survival and
mystery plot but it does also come with a sense of dread and fear because of its dark setting.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Research and Planning:
I will use the darkness to my advantage by creating a dark and scary map which will appeal
to the survival and horror gamers also I am planning on using a sort of mystery murder sort
of template to the piece and so creating a tense atmosphere to the game.
What elements of your research and planning will you use in your final production?
Where will you use your research and planning in your final production?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Well some people might be offended by the notion of having ghosts but apart from that there won’t
be any complaints except for difficulty.
Ye sonly 16+ are allowed to play this game or 15+ as it is heavily influenced by murders and
mysteries.
No it shouldn’t offend any religions social groups or ethnicities unless they look way too far into the
game to the point that it is no longer any fun.
Well you can’t stop people from being stupid but the murder part shouldn’t be too bad it should
only really be like a flash back.
I am effectively creating a spinoff of murdered soul suspect so I am using an existing product.
I believe it should be different enough to the original to almost pass for a completely different
name.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
