Education in the 21st century focuses on integrating technology to change how we teach, what we teach, and how we think. A project-based learning example had students build a chair out of cardboard by first researching how to support textbook weight, designing prototypes, constructing a chair, troubleshooting and redesigning, and using new tools to create, collaborate, and communicate. The 21st century learner uses technology to become a critical thinker, problem solver, good communicator, collaborator, and informed, flexible, innovative, and globally competent individual.
