kitchens and bathrooms for this 54-story condominium and retail develop-
ment, including gym and public plaza.

Provided curtain-wall consulting services for this 20-story residential project
related to the design of the exterior walls, roofing, and waterproofing, in-
cluding design review and quality control inspection. Additionally, we pro-
vided the air and water tests in the field and laboratory during construction.
7. Project List for Charles R. Lehner IV, RA
The new Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi is a landmark project and
emphasizes Abu Dhabi’s role as a leader within the UAE and the GCC.
The Palace will be utilized to house the offices of H.H. The President, H.H.
The Vice President, H.H. The Crown Prince, and the Ministers. The facility
will serve an important role as the primary governmental facility for receiv-
ing visiting dignitaries.
The location of the new Presidential Palace is on Ras al Akhdar peninsula
adjacent to the Emirates Palace Hotel. The development will encompass
approximately 150 hectares, and will include the Palace and the required
ancillary buildings. The Palace will exceed 160000m2 of built area and will
contain several VIP wings, a Ministers wing, and several Majlis and Dining
Halls. The Common Areas of the Palace will utilize an additional 5,614

square meters and will include a Main Entrance Hall, Main Hall, Fountain
Courtyard, Media Hall, and a Press Center. The ancillary buildings, which
incorporate over 23000m2, will include a Public Majlis, Mosque, Staff & Mil-
itary Accommodations, a Services Compound, and various Gatehouses
and Watchtowers. The project also includes 2000m of 6m seawall, 4 million
m3 of dredging and 2500m of revetment.
The development allows for traditional and modern design to exist in har-
mony, and to ultimately be a source of pride for all people of the United
Arab Emirates.
RW Armstrong are the Project Managers for this the most prestigious
project currently under construction in the UAE. RW Armstrong is managing
the Lead Consultant, coordinating between the designers and the contrac-
tors, determining the optimum construction strategy and schedule, select-
ing the procurement strategy for the construction, issuing and assessing
tenders, ensuring that all design and construction works are on schedule.
Acted as Technical Director and was responsible for executing a Project
Management level design review of all aspects of the project; Architectural,
Structural, Civil, MEP, Marine- to ensure that the requirements of the Client
are incorporated. The team is based on site since 2007, led by our Project
Director and Technical Director, there are 22 staff in the RWA team.

Acted as Senior Architectural Engineer for Qatar Foundation through the
auspices of Louis Berger Group in Doha, Qatar for the 40,000 square me-
ter Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies project in Education City, Doha,
Qatar. The project responsibilities were:
• Review and red-line all architectural shop drawings in concert with
the architectural/engineering team from LBG, CCC and QF
• Liaise with Arup, RHWL Architects, MYAA Architects, ASTAD and QF
on all issues concerning design and construction to resolve design con-
flicts between site, facade, interior finishes, fire-safety, roof, structural and
MEP work
• Oversaw mock-up design and construction to test design execution
issues
• Observed mock-up testing and material type, color texture and manu-
facturer selection processes with QF and the design/construction team
• Performed code-compliance/performance specification review to en-
sure adherence to contract documents, tendering procedures and Qatari
Building Codes based on ICC, NFPA etc.
• Observed all laboratory testing of facade elements, roofing elements,
exterior finishes, sealant and water-proofing performance etc.
• Managing team of engineers, quantity surveyors (estimators) tender-
ing (bidding) professionals and site inspectors
• Estimating time schedule against schedule provided by contractor
and original project schedule for construction (project is currently 4
months behind schedule due to design/construction resolution issues an-
ticipated during the tendering process

range of my professional career and indicates the depth and scope of some
