EXPERIENCE : 30+ years on construction projects in the kingdom of Bahrain and Qatar out of
which 19 years with Consultants and 11 years with Construction Companies.
My experience largely covers two fields of expertise
 With Consultants I worked to manage varied range of major and minor
commercial and real estate development projects in Bahrain, during my tenure of
association with the consultants I gained extensive experience as Resident
Engineer to manage and supervise major shopping malls, mixed use residential
towers, Pre, post tensioning RCC structures and infrastructure projects.
 With Contracting Companies I have lead team of site engineers and gained
experience on a number of projects from preliminary programming/scheduling
stage through to handing over the projects to the consultant/client and thereafter
finalize the final accounts including but not limited to planning and manage
execution of construction, organizing manpower, equipment and materials,
coordination with clients and consultants.
 Worked as Site Manager on several Sanitary engineering, Sewerage & Drainage,
roads and other Utility engineering projects,
ABILITIES
• Manage the Construction of High-rise mixed use commercial buildings, Hotels,
Shopping Malls, Hospitals, Ware houses, Schools and Garden villa compounds.
• Fully conversant with the procedures of initial planning/scheduling to undertake
execution of works, understanding the scope of the projects and constructing the
network of the works required for the entire project.
• Monitor site progress as per project execution plan, project deliverables plan and
engineering procedures with MEP Consultants, Main contractors and sub-
contractors for implementing critical path on programme to complete the project
within the planned time frame.

• Monitoring day to day progress of the projects to insure that the achieved
progress meets with requirements of the initial planning and the targeted
completion schedule.
• Controlling execution of the works to insure that various elements of the project
fit together and perform towards a common aim in terms of utility and
maintenance free project.
• Working as part of team to motivate the respective team members to plan and
achieve the best end results. Enforcing strict adherence to HSE Safety
regulations at the site. Review of materials, shop drawings, Corrective Action and
method statements submitted by the Contractor and Compliance to standard and
contract specification
• Conduct progress review, HSE and technical coordination meetings at the
site, prepare and circulate the minutes of the meetings to all concerned.

Responsibilities: I am Employed by M/s GEIC Qatar as Sr. Project Manager/Resident Engineer on
their Multimillion Riyal Seven Schools package, Infrastructure, Marine works and
Aquaculture special Projects.
Projects Completed and handed over to End User includes. Seven Schools package,
Scouts land Development.
Currently Deputed as Senior Project Manager/Resident Engineer on their special
project “ Construction/Supervision of Aquaculture Fisheries Research Center Marine
works “ located at Al Khor Ras Matbakh area.
This is special project currently under progress for the End User Ministry of
Environment Qatar.
Total Project Value: QR 250 Million
Period: July 2009 to 2012
Organization: M/s Delta Construction Company
Position: Construction Manager Bahrain
Responsibility I was employed by the Director to manage their New Civil Division.
Fully responsible for running all the activities related to the Civil Division including
planning of execution of works and heading the QS department for finalizing tenders.
With Delta I had the opportunity to manage the construction of 18 storeys mixed use

Responsibilities: Deputed as Senior Resident Engineer on their Multimillion Dollar Project “Down
Town Al Areen “Client Gulf Holding Company
" Down Town Al Areen" was a multimillion Dinar mixed use project comprising of
residential apartments, recreation centres, hospital, supermarket, facilities for sports
activities including construction of complete infrastructure such as, water supply
lines, sewerage and drainage system with necessary pumping stations and access
roads (project was stopped halfway due to unknown reason)
Total value of the Development project USD: 250.00 Million

Senior Resident Engineer
Projects Completed
Seef Tower
The project seef tower is a mixed use multi-storey building at seef area comprises
of the construction of twenty one storey commercial building with Basement floor,
Ground floor, seven typical floors for car parking facility followed by ten typical floors
for commercial offices and a MEP services floor at roof.
Quantity Surveyor BWS Contract value USD: 15.0 Millions
Model Sports Clubs Complex, Kingdom of Bahrain

The Sports Clubs Complex was designed for the Client Ministry of and Housing and GOYS
by Internationally Architectural firm Leigh & Orange Hong Kong while IKA was
commissioned by the Client for Structural design and Project Management.
Pile foundations were used for all the buildings with superstructure consisting of RCC
framed structure of columns, beams, solid slab and a structural steel curved long span
roofing system. The curved roofing made up of aluminium fire-proof composite panels. The
clubs were central AC system indoor halls and two number football grounds
Sitra and Najma Sports Club
The project consists Club House, Gymnasium block, Indoor Games Hall block with facility
for conducting official matches of Basketball, Badminton and Hand ball courts, a Swimming
Pool Hall of Asian Games standard, and Grass football grounds compatible for conducting
national level tournaments with flood lighting system.
The substructure comprises of bored piling, Superstructure constructed made up of RCC
frame with block wall. The roof is designed with curved Hot rolled structural steel members
and covered with fire proof Aluminium composite panels.
Quantity Surveyor: Davis Langdon. Value USD: 35.0 Million.
Riffa and Al Shabab Sports Club at Sanabis
The Projects was designed by Leigh & Orange Hong Kong almost identical to Sitra and
Najma Sports Clubs. The Club is completed and handed over to the Client General
Organization for Youth and Sports GOYS Ministry of Works and Housing in the year 2005-
06.
My role: Project Manager / Resident Engineer.
Contract Value US$: 20 Million.
Residential Tower – Al Khadeeja Tower at Juffair
Al Khadeeja tower is a missed use construction comprising of a 20-storey Residential
Apartment tower located at Juffair
.
The project involved installation of deep shoring pile work around the plot with necessary
retaining walls to enable Construction of two level basement car parking facility for
residents. The tower structure was designed to rest on bored pile foundations, the
contractor employed extensive dewatering system to construct the pile/pile capes and the
entire basement up to the G level. There after construction of RCC framed heavy structure
with large spans RCC Transfer beams were constructed, Hollow and light weight blocks
were used to complete the entire super structure. Currently furnishing of flats by the client
is under progress
My role: Project Manager. Contract Value US$: 18 Million.
Gulf Hotel – Refurbishment of the South Wing Residence
The project involved redesign of the complete external elevation of the Gulf Hotel South
Wing services apartment building and construction of new multi level carping tower. The
various elements on the existing elevation such as balconies, concrete non- structural
members, aluminium/wooden railings, loose concrete surfacing and windows were removed
and were face-lifted using aluminium glazed window panels with double-glazed heat
resistant curtain walls.

This was a fast-track project with the contractor having to complete within a limited period in
order to minimize the affects on the day to day operations of the Hotel.
My role: Engineer In-charge (assisting the on-site management team.
Contract Value US$ 15.0 Million
Period: April 1989 to Nov 2002
Organization: Aref Sadeq Design Consultants (ASDC) Bahrain
Senior Resident Engineer
Worked as Senior Resident Engineer for about 14 years on a number of multi-million dollar
projects in Bahrain and thereafter was promoted as Manager Projects. I was fully
responsible for day to day activities of all the running projects and update the status to the
Managing Director. Some of the prestigious projects are listed below.
Bahrain Mall Shopping Complex
The Mall is currently the biggest of its kind in Bahrain next to City centre constructed on
approximately 50,000sqm of the plot located in Sanabis area. The project comprises of RCC
substructure and pre-engineering structural steel superstructure with polyester-coated metal
profile roof sheets. The first floor was constructed of deck slab on steel beams.
The Mall is provided with lifts, decorative staircase and travelators etc in the Central Atrium
and Dock levellers with services lifts in the storage areas. The Mall houses a large Shopping
Centre (Geant store), food courts, recreation area and a number of retail outlets and a large
Car Park at the ground floor. This fast track project was completed in 15 months.
My role: Project Manager. Contract Value US$: 30 Million.
Dana Mall Cinema Complex
This Mall is similar to the above project with respect to the type of structure. Apart from all the
other facilities this Mall has group of PVR Cinemas which added to the recreation facilities and
better commercial value. The project now houses a large two level “Lulu Hypermarket “. The
project was completed during the middle of 2000.
My role: Project Manager. Contract Value US$: 25 Million.
Marina Mall, Lulu Centre, Riffa Mall, Ramee's Malls
These three shopping malls in the heart of the city facing the Financial Harbour were
constructed by the Central Municipality exclusively for Mother Care Company in the years
1994 to 1997. The trend of building malls instead of small shopping centres in Bahrain was
introduced by ASDC with the completion of Lulu Centre.
My role: Resident Engineer. Contract Value US$: 60 Million.
Best Weston Baisan Tower Hotel, Al Safir Hotel and Hawaar island Development,
Hawaar Hotel resort and RuRu residential apartment tower
I was deputed as Resident Engineer on these three prestigious multi-storey Hotel projects in
Bahrain and was responsible from inception to completion including negotiation of the final
accounts.

Garden Villa Projects, Multi-storey Residential Buildings and Factories and other mixed
use development projects for prestigious clients at Jedda Island and Riffa palace
Mona Dina Garden at Saar 24 Villas pool etc , Mubarak kanoo Garden 6 Villas pool etc at
Adliya , Khalid Kanoo Garden 8 Villas pool house etc at Janabiya, E K kanoo Garden Villas at
Budaiya, Toyota Service stations at Manama, Isa town, Salmabad, Jawed textile mills at Alba,
Noble Garment factories at Alba & Sehla
April ’84 - ‘89: SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER with Contracting companies in Bahrain –M/s A.A.Bin
Hindi M/s Mohsin Haji Ali Group and Olympic Contracting Company.
 Managed the construction of major Infrastructure/Utility projects Several Major
water supply, sewerage & drainage and infrastructure projects designed and
supervised by M/s Dar Al Handasa international Consultants, Sewerage Directorate
Engineering Services and M/s ACE Al Moayyed
.
I have represented the Contracting Company as Site Agent to the respective Ministry
for management of the projects.
Gained valuable experience in planning and execution of projects involving planning
for NDRC, Micro tunnelling works, laying of large dia ductile Iron water supply pipes,
construction of booster stations/valve chambers and pumping stations and finally
manhole and chambers on lateral for house connections of the area.

  • 4. 4 The Sports Clubs Complex was designed for the Client Ministry of and Housing and GOYS by Internationally Architectural firm Leigh & Orange Hong Kong while IKA was commissioned by the Client for Structural design and Project Management. Pile foundations were used for all the buildings with superstructure consisting of RCC framed structure of columns, beams, solid slab and a structural steel curved long span roofing system. The curved roofing made up of aluminium fire-proof composite panels. The clubs were central AC system indoor halls and two number football grounds Sitra and Najma Sports Club The project consists Club House, Gymnasium block, Indoor Games Hall block with facility for conducting official matches of Basketball, Badminton and Hand ball courts, a Swimming Pool Hall of Asian Games standard, and Grass football grounds compatible for conducting national level tournaments with flood lighting system. The substructure comprises of bored piling, Superstructure constructed made up of RCC frame with block wall. Riffa and Al Shabab Sports Club at Sanabis The Projects was designed by Leigh & Orange Hong Kong almost identical to Sitra and Najma Sports Clubs. The Club is completed and handed over to the Client General Organization for Youth and Sports GOYS Ministry of Works and Housing in the year 2005- 06. My role: Project Manager / Resident Engineer. Contract Value US$: 20 Million. Residential Tower – Al Khadeeja Tower at Juffair Al Khadeeja tower is a missed use construction comprising of a 20-storey Residential Apartment tower located at Juffair . The project involved installation of deep shoring pile work around the plot with necessary retaining walls to enable Construction of two level basement car parking facility for residents. The tower structure was designed to rest on bored pile foundations, the contractor employed extensive dewatering system to construct the pile/pile capes and the entire basement up to the G level. There after construction of RCC framed heavy structure with large spans RCC Transfer beams were constructed, Hollow and light weight blocks were used to complete the entire super structure. Currently furnishing of flats by the client is under progress My role: Project Manager. Contract Value US$: 18 Million. Gulf Hotel – Refurbishment of the South Wing Residence The project involved redesign of the complete external elevation of the Gulf Hotel South Wing services apartment building and construction of new multi level carping tower. The various elements on the existing elevation such as balconies, concrete non- structural members, aluminium/wooden railings, loose concrete surfacing and windows were removed and were face-lifted using aluminium glazed window panels with double-glazed heat resistant curtain walls.
  • 5. 5 This was a fast-track project with the contractor having to complete within a limited period in order to minimize the affects on the day to day operations of the Hotel. Contract Value US$ 15.0 Million Period: April 1989 to Nov 2002 Organization: Aref Sadeq Design Consultants (ASDC) Bahrain Senior Resident Engineer Worked as Senior Resident Engineer for about 14 years on a number of multi-million dollar projects in Bahrain and thereafter was promoted as Manager Projects. I was fully responsible for day to day activities of all the running projects and update the status to the Managing Director. Some of the prestigious projects are listed below. Bahrain Mall Shopping Complex The Mall is currently the biggest of its kind in Bahrain next to City centre constructed on approximately 50,000sqm of the plot located in Sanabis area. The project comprises of RCC substructure and pre-engineering structural steel superstructure with polyester-coated metal profile roof sheets. The first floor was constructed of deck slab on steel beams. The Mall is provided with lifts, decorative staircase and travelators etc in the Central Atrium and Dock levellers with services lifts in the storage areas. The Mall houses a large Shopping Centre (Geant store), food courts, recreation area and a number of retail outlets and a large Car Park at the ground floor. This fast track project was completed in 15 months. My role: Project Manager. Contract Value US$: 30 Million. Dana Mall Cinema Complex This Mall is similar to the above project with respect to the type of structure. Apart from all the other facilities this Mall has group of PVR Cinemas which added to the recreation facilities and better commercial value. The project now houses a large two level “Lulu Hypermarket “. The project was completed during the middle of 2000. My role: Project Manager. Contract Value US$: 25 Million. Marina Mall, Lulu Centre, Riffa Mall, Ramee's Malls These three shopping malls in the heart of the city facing the Financial Harbour were constructed by the Central Municipality exclusively for Mother Care Company in the years 1994 to 1997. The trend of building malls instead of small shopping centres in Bahrain was introduced by ASDC with the completion of Lulu Centre. My role: Resident Engineer. Contract Value US$: 60 Million. Best Weston Baisan Tower Hotel, Al Safir Hotel and Hawaar island Development, Hawaar Hotel resort and RuRu residential apartment tower I was deputed as Resident Engineer on these three prestigious multi-storey Hotel projects in Bahrain and was responsible from inception to completion including negotiation of the final accounts.

I have represented the Contracting Company as Site Agent to the respective Ministry for management of the projects.
