Proctor and Gamble opened a new plant in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2013. The plant was constructed in response to growing demand for Pampers diapers and other P&G products in Asia. It began production of Pampers diapers for local markets and also serves as a regional hub for raw materials and balancing supply and demand. The plant utilizes sustainable design and received Silver LEED Certification for its environmentally friendly practices.

 Foreign investment professional Harvey Goldstein serves as managing
director of Business-Link Consultancy, PTE, LTD, in Singapore, and as
president and director for Harvest International Indonesia. Harvey
Goldstein’s responsibilities at the Indonesia-based company include
providing consulting services for companies such as Proctor and Gamble
(P&G) Indonesia, which opened a new plant in Jakarta in 2013.

 Construction of the Jakarta Plant began in 2011 in response to a growing
demand in Asia for Pampers diapers and other P&G products. Though its
primary focus will be on producing Pampers products for local markets,
the plant will also provide resources to help balance regional supply and
demand, and will serve as a regional hub for raw materials. According to
the company’s logistics, its products will help approximately 8 million
babies in Indonesia over the next five years.

 The Jakarta P&G Plant also possesses sustainable design features,
including some of the most advanced technology and production
processes for environmental responsibility and resource efficiency. Its
sustainable design enabled the factory to receive Silver LEED Certification,
which indicates that it meets criteria developed by the US Green Building
Council for green, environmentally-conscious buildings.
