Kaizen Month Celebration
at Gulbrandsen Chemicals
Pvt. Ltd.
Gulbrandsen Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. (GCPL)
is an American MNC situated in
Vadodara. GCPL provides cost-effective,
high-quality chemical supply solutions
around the globe. Since 2011 GCPL has
initiated Improvement Initiative activities
under the umbrella of Project
"PARIVARTAN". Concept Business
Excellence Pvt. Ltd. has played a crucial
role in mentoring the employees of
GCPL to drive this improvement
initiative.
Since last 6 years, GCPL is celebrating
"Kaizen Mela" to showcase the
improvements made by the different
teams. This year also Kaizen Month is
launched on 4th Jan-18. The enthusiastic
employees will be implementing Kaizens
during this month and they will showcase
their improvements during the Kaizen
Mela which will be held in the month of
Feb-18.
2nd Batch of Six Sigma
(Green Belt) at Piramal
Glass
Piramal Glass is a global leader in

pharmaceuticals businesses. Piramal
Glass is one of the largest
manufacturers of flaconnage glass for
the pharmaceuticals and perfumery
businesses today, with an installed

worldwide. Piramal Glass has a large
geographic footprint, with a presence
in most major markets across the
globe including Europe, USA and
South America.
Piramal is following Operational
Excellence initiative and has partnered
for deployment of Six Sigma with
CBEPL.
CBEPL completed 2nd training on Six
Sigma (Green Belt) at Piramal Glass
Kosamba and Jambusar plant on 26th
Dec 2017.
Problem Solving Process
Training at Voith Hydro
Pvt. Ltd. - Noida

Excellence globally and CBEPL is local
partner for mentoring Voith employees
for effective implementation of OpEx.
As a part of OpEx journey, Problem
Solving Process workshop was
conducted at Voith-Noida on 2nd
Jan-18​.

Kaizen Awareness Training
at Cosmos Impex (India)
Pvt. Ltd. under Project
OpEx
Cosmos Impex (India) Pvt. Ltd. a
leading manufacturer of CNC, VMC,
Surface Grinding machines has an
existence of 30 years. It has initiated
Operational Excellence process since
2016 and the unique identity of "NAYI
UDAN" is given to this OpEx journey.
The company has partnered with CBEPL
to mentor its employees to achieve
operational excellence in all the
processes. After successful completion
of 1st year of OpEx journey, the
association with CBEPL has continued in
2nd year also. In 2nd phase to bring in
Total Employee Involvement Kaizen
(Continuous Improvement) initiative has
been started. All employees are provided
awareness training on Kaizen including
Steering Group, Team Leaders &
Workmen. In this practical training,
employees are groomed to identify
improvement opportunities and improve
the same team efforts
Six Sigma Awareness
Training to Faculties of
Silver Oak College of
Engineering &
Technology
CBEPL was invited to deliver a special
guest talk to the faculties of
Mechanical Engineering of Silver Oak
College, Ahmedabad.
The topic was "Lean Six Sigma - The
need of Time". Mr. Hiren Kakkad - Sr.
Consultant, CBEPL has delivered the
talk and enlighten on Lean
Manufacturing & Six sigma and its
significance in industry interface™
approaches under various
circumstances.
Major aspects covered in talk are
History of Six Sigma, How Lean and
Six Sigma different, Synergy of Six
Sigma, Application of Six Sigma,
Various belts of Six Sigma, Phases of
Six Sigma, How it is helpful to
Engineering Students etc. Around 70
Faculties from Mechanical Engineering
had attended the talk. At the end of
Talk there was Q & A session to satisfy
participants queries in better way.

successfully since last 9 years. With

Mega Cleaning Day
Celebration at Orient
Abrasives Ltd. Porbandar,
Gujarat
Orient Abrasives Ltd. Porbandar is a
subsidiary company of Ashapura Group
of Industries and it is India's largest
manufacturer of Calcined and Fused
Alumina products.
Orient Abrasives Ltd., Porbandar,
witnessed its first Mega Cleaning day
event on 24th January, 2018 with the
support of CBEPL. The event was a
huge success with all the employees
from top to bottom actively participating
in the event. Gemba round was
conducted by the top management later
to evaluate the cleaning activity and
accordingly declare best shining zone of
OAL.
The Event also contained a poster
making competition which witnessed a
huge participation. 73 hand made
posters depicting importance of cleaning
and environmental protection were
submitted for evaluation by employees of
different designation and departments.
The judges had a tough time selecting
the best 5 posters among all.
