Journey Details
 We started travelling from our college campus at 10:00 am by college bus along with our
coordinator on 29th
may, 2018.
 We reached Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt Ltd , No-11, Jigani, Link Road, Bommasandra,
Anekal Taluk, Bangalore-560105, Karnataka, India at 10:30 am.
 We started return journey at 1:00 pm from GPFOODS.
Company Details
Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd is a joint venture established in the year 2011 between Garuda
Food of Indonesia and the Polyflex Group of India.
Garuda Food is a $500 Million, 25 year old food and beverage company. It is a part of the
Tudung Group which deals in Agribusiness, Food and beverage manufacturing and distribution.
It has 11 production plants, 18 beverage contract manufacturers, 6 food contract manufacturers
in Indonesia and over 20,000 employees. Garuda Food has a strong portfolio in food and
beverage, offering an extensive and innovative range of snacks, confectioneries, biscuits, liquid
milk drinks, fruit flavored drinks and juices that are widely distributed across many countries in
Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, Australia and Pacific Ocean nations. Garuda
Food has received many awards and accolades like Indonesia Customer Service Award (ICSA),
Indonesia Best Brand Award (IBBA), Top Brand Award, Top Brands For Kids Awards, Original
Indonesia Brand Award and many more. According to Euro Monitor, the Garuda Food Group
maintained the leading position in sweet and savory snacks with 26% (2009) and 22% (2010)
shares of retail sales value. The Group dominated the nuts Market with a 52% retail value share
and was a strong leader in the sweet and savory snack segment.
Polyflex is a 40 year old Bangalore Based $50 Million Company which deals in the Luxury and
Comfort Business. Garuda Polyflex Food's endeavor is to provide best in class and innovative
offering in food and beverage segment, which will give consumers more delightful experiences.
In this pursuit the joint venture has launched Gone Mad Chocó sticks in the chocolate Segment,
Gone Mad Jelly Drink and Gone Mad Chocolate Drink in the beverage segment and Gone Mad
Sugar Cheese Cracker in the biscuit segment. GP Foods is in the process of rolling out exciting

Objective of Visit
 Industrial visit is an excellent opportunity to interact with industries.
 Students know about the function of different sectors like IT, Financing Marketing.
 Industrial visits help them gain hands-on experience of how industry operations are
executed.
 To bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical learning in a real-life
environment.
 Industry visits provide opportunity for active/interactive learning experiences in-class as
well outside the classroom environment.
 To gain ability to better identify their prospective areas of work in the overall
organizational function.
 To enhance interpersonal skills and communication techniques.
 To become more aware of industry practices and regulations during industry visits.

Group Observation
After reaching GPFOODS, we directly went to meeting room. We meat Senior HR Mr. D’Souza and
Plant Manager Mr. Ramesh. Mr. D’Souza gave a brief explanation about GPFOODS. And after that
shown us a video, which contains the manufacturing process of Chocó sticks. We celebrate birthday of
our friend Krishna Narulkar. They gave a celebration pack of GPFOODS to Krishna as birthday gift. And
our faculty also gifted by the celebration pack of GPFOODS. After taking group photo we started visit of
manufacturing process.
1. GP Foods Pvt Ltd. is a world class FMCG company which is situated in Bommasandra
Industrial area, Bangalore. The company was established in 2011. The unit’s built up area
is approximately 7000 Sq meters.
2. The brand's association with kids continues right from the time it was introduced in India
in 2012, through an activity where it engaged with around 1,000 kids from schools in
Bengaluru and Chennai to design doodles which are used in its packaging currently.
3. They have a manufacturing facility for wafer sticks and jelly drinks. Most of the
machinery and equipment are imported. The equipment for the production of jelly drink
is bought from the world class beverage processing company - Alfa Laval based in
Europe.
4. The manufacturing team is highly qualified and motivated. The company is licensed by
FSSAI. We have the ‘best in class’ water treatment plant to achieve the highest quality
product and also an in-house quality testing facility for raw materials and finished
products.
5. They follow stringent quality norms to meet ISO 22000 standards. The entire legal
requirement pertaining to pollution control board are followed strictly as a part of
corporate social responsibility. The CSR activities followed by GPFOODS.
a. At GP Foods they believe in helping our local communities with an emphasis on
employee voluntary services. GP Foods has been actively involved in various
corporate social responsibility activities. They remain committed to making a
positive impact on their world by investing financial and human capital in the
issues that matter to society. It is always our responsibility to apply their
collective knowledge, talent and energies to the challenges we all face in their
workplace, communities and environment.
b. They are currently supporting the Government Primary school located at
Bommasandra by sponsoring a computer, building toilets for the students,
distributing chocolates for students during national festivals and aiding the school
by providing material regularly.
c. They have also conducted voluntary blood donation camps with the help of Lions
Blood Bank
We meet Quality Manager Mr. Hemanth in the manufacturing plant, where he showed us the
manufacturing process and explained about the process.

Outcome of Visit
Industrial visit represent important activities in any UG/PG program that contribute to the
achievement of various essential learning outcomes and program objectives. It enables
educational institutions to build close ties with industrial experts. Several broader educational
partnerships have emerged as a result of this visit.

ANWAR ST.XAVIERS Page4 Journey Details  We started travelling from our college campus at 10:00 am by college bus along with our coordinator on 29th may, 2018.  We reached Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt Ltd , No-11, Jigani, Link Road, Bommasandra, Anekal Taluk, Bangalore-560105, Karnataka, India at 10:30 am.  We started return journey at 1:00 pm from GPFOODS. Company Details Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd is a joint venture established in the year 2011 between Garuda Food of Indonesia and the Polyflex Group of India. Garuda Food is a $500 Million, 25 year old food and beverage company. It is a part of the Tudung Group which deals in Agribusiness, Food and beverage manufacturing and distribution. It has 11 production plants, 18 beverage contract manufacturers, 6 food contract manufacturers in Indonesia and over 20,000 employees. Garuda Food has a strong portfolio in food and beverage, offering an extensive and innovative range of snacks, confectioneries, biscuits, liquid milk drinks, fruit flavored drinks and juices that are widely distributed across many countries in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, Australia and Pacific Ocean nations. Garuda Food has received many awards and accolades like Indonesia Customer Service Award (ICSA), Indonesia Best Brand Award (IBBA), Top Brand Award, Top Brands For Kids Awards, Original Indonesia Brand Award and many more. Objective of Visit  Industrial visit is an excellent opportunity to interact with industries.  Students know about the function of different sectors like IT, Financing Marketing.  Industrial visits help them gain hands-on experience of how industry operations are executed.  To bridge the gap between theoretical training and practical learning in a real-life environment.  Industry visits provide opportunity for active/interactive learning experiences in-class as well outside the classroom environment.  To gain ability to better identify their prospective areas of work in the overall organizational function.  To enhance interpersonal skills and communication techniques.  To become more aware of industry practices and regulations during industry visits.
  • 5. ANWAR ST.XAVIERS Page6 Group Observation After reaching GPFOODS, we directly went to meeting room. We meat Senior HR Mr. D’Souza and Plant Manager Mr. Ramesh. Mr. D’Souza gave a brief explanation about GPFOODS. And after that shown us a video, which contains the manufacturing process of Chocó sticks. We celebrate birthday of our friend Krishna Narulkar. They gave a celebration pack of GPFOODS to Krishna as birthday gift. And our faculty also gifted by the celebration pack of GPFOODS. After taking group photo we started visit of manufacturing process. 1. GP Foods Pvt Ltd. is a world class FMCG company which is situated in Bommasandra Industrial area, Bangalore. The company was established in 2011. The unit’s built up area is approximately 7000 Sq meters. 2. The brand's association with kids continues right from the time it was introduced in India in 2012, through an activity where it engaged with around 1,000 kids from schools in Bengaluru and Chennai to design doodles which are used in its packaging currently. 3. They have a manufacturing facility for wafer sticks and jelly drinks. Most of the machinery and equipment are imported. The equipment for the production of jelly drink is bought from the world class beverage processing company - Alfa Laval based in Europe. 4. The manufacturing team is highly qualified and motivated. The company is licensed by FSSAI. We have the ‘best in class’ water treatment plant to achieve the highest quality product and also an in-house quality testing facility for raw materials and finished products. 5. They follow stringent quality norms to meet ISO 22000 standards. The entire legal requirement pertaining to pollution control board are followed strictly as a part of corporate social responsibility. The CSR activities followed by GPFOODS. a. At GP Foods they believe in helping our local communities with an emphasis on employee voluntary services. GP Foods has been actively involved in various corporate social responsibility activities. They remain committed to making a positive impact on their world by investing financial and human capital in the issues that matter to society. It is always our responsibility to apply their collective knowledge, talent and energies to the challenges we all face in their workplace, communities and environment. b. They are currently supporting the Government Primary school located at Bommasandra by sponsoring a computer, building toilets for the students, distributing chocolates for students during national festivals and aiding the school by providing material regularly. c. They have also conducted voluntary blood donation camps with the help of Lions Blood Bank We meet Quality Manager Mr. Hemanth in the manufacturing plant, where he showed us the manufacturing process and explained about the process.
