SPC Lifesciences Pvt. Ltd. is the
leading manufacturer & exporter of a
broad range of pharmaceutical active
ingredients and intermediates which
are extensively used in various finished
doses & research laboratories.
SPC is driving operational Excellence
journey since 2017. They have
celebrated Kaizen Mela Event to
showcase the improvements
implemented by the enthusiastic teams
of SPC. Total 12 number of stalls were
created and each team has showcased
improvements in the Kaizen Mela.
More than 350 Kaizens were identified
and more than 180 implemented with
monetary benefit of 50/- Lacs Rs.
Mega Cleaning Day @
Voltamp Transformers
Ltd. - Savli
Voltamp Transformers Limited was
established in 1963. The company has
two units one is in Maneja-Vadodara
and another unit is at Savli. The
Company has installed facility to
manufacture oil-filled power and
distribution transformers up to 160
MVA, 220 KV class, Resin
impregnated Dry type Transformers up
to 5 MVA, 11 KV class (In Technical
collaboration with MORA, GERMANY)
and Cast Resin Dry type Transformers
up to 12.5 MVA, 33 KV class (In
Technical collaboration with HTT,
GERMANY).
The company has initiated 5-S
implementation work at Savli unit from
Nov-17 and Concept Business
Excellence Pvt. Ltd. is appointed as a
5-S mentor in the company. Under the
3rd "S" that is Seiso/Spic & Span,
company has celebrated "Mega
Cleaning Day" on 14th April-18. All
employees including office staff
members have enthusiastically
participated in the cleaning of plant and
machinery. Out of all teams, 8 teams
are awarded for best cleaning in the
company.

Statistical Methods for
Pharmaceutical at
Sun Pharma
Sun Pharma is an Indian multinational
pharmaceutical company headquartered
in Mumbai, that manufactures and sells
pharmaceutical formulations and active
pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)
primarily in India and the United States.
As a part of continuous improvement,
Sun Pharma provides trainings to it’s
employees. Sun Pharma has selected
Concept Business Excellence Pvt. Ltd.
as a training partner to provide training
on Basic Statistical Methods in Pharma​.
Main objective of the training is to
provide the application of Statistical
Tools in Pharma industries.CBEPL has
customized the program with examples
and application of pharmaceutical
industry. Pre-visit was arranged to
understand their processes and collect
relevant examples of their area itself. So
during training program, we have used
only their terminology, data and
examples.
Application of statistical tools was
supported by Minitab Session. So how to
execute the analysis in Minitab software
was also a part of the training program.

conducted at Gulbrandsen
Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (GTPL),
Jhagadia. Total productive
maintenance (TPM) aims to achieve
Zero Breakdowns, Zero Accidents and
Zero defects. TPM involves all the
departments to achieve its aim, A
cross-functional team participated in
the training to implement TPM more
effectively. To implement the
knowledge taken, training was followed
by Gemba Exercise.

organized at Dinesh Felts (Facet of
Dinesh Group). Dinesh Felts is the

Paper Makers felts. Since September,
2017 Dinesh Felts started the journey of
Operational Excellence with Concept
Business Excellence Pvt. Ltd. acting as a
catalyst. Workplace Management is the
first step in starting of any Continuous
Improvement Initiative. Training was

zone leaders and core committee
members.
