1. Process diary
To editthispodcast,I useda software calledLogicPro.First,afterrecordingthe audio,I listenedthrough
and realizedthere were toomanyquietpausesormistakesmade,howeveritdoesnotneededitingthat
much. Therefore, I had to cut through all the long pause with a scissors tool and delete themout of the
audio.
I thenlistenedthroughagainandeditedthe deepheavybreathingorthe small noisesthatwere irritating
me. So, I lowered the volume in those specific areas, this made the heavy breathing unnoticeable. This
was done so it sounded natural all the way through the episode.
.
For the outro I decidedto finda song that was chilledbutnot too calm, more upbeat.I wentonline and
founda couple of options, howeverthe one thatsoundedthe more appropriate forthispodcast'stheme
wasthe pengiunmusic- modernchillout.Toapplythisaudiotothe podcastIdownloadedittomydesktop
and draggeditto logicpro to where Ithoughtit wouldbe bestforthe audioto start. I decidedtooverlap
the songto the audioof the podcast so whenI fade the songout it seemsnatural, and it flows.I started
the songat –41.7dB and made it escalate slowlyto-7.2dB,thismeansthe song getslouder. The reason I
done this was because me and Alex are saying the outro at that point so I thought it would be good to
2. make the music escalate as the podcast finishes. I let the music playas it slowlyfadesout, and I make it
last at least 30 seconds.
For the intro,I had a long pause, somy ideawas to include some intromusic.I cut out the long pause as
youcan see inthe screenshot. The reasonIdone thiswasbecausetherewassome backgroundnoise, and
this benefitedme as when I put the music on top, there will be no distractions when listeningto it. I
increasedthe song'svolume asitfadesinaswe weretalkingsoitsoundsnatural tohear.ThenIfadedout
the track slowly till we started to talk on the podcast.
In the endof thisprocess,Itransferreditto a file,Ithencompressedit.Afterthat,Iuploadeditto teams
with the rest of my work. I have learned some skills while creating this, such as being able to apply
differentaudiosandto overlapthem.Decreasingthe volumesof specificpartsof a track was easierthan
I thought.
