For thisproject(smile campaign),Ihave hadto deal witha few difficultieswhilepreparingand
recordingforthisadvertisement.Forexample,timeavailability,technical difficultiesetc...Atfirstthe
problemIhad wasgettingmytime slotsperfectthiswasbecause whenIwouldbegintorecord
some footage,Iwouldonlyhave asmall amountof time where Iwasable to shootsome sceneswith
all my crewat once.Because of thisI hadto make some changeswithmy crew and mystoryboard
and script.I had to slightlychange the plotof myadvert,asI was not able todo a couple of the
scenesdue tolocations.Therefore,insteadof wakingupinthe bedroomasmy firstscene Ichanged
it to mymaincharacter lookingdepressedsomewhere onthe waytomeeting herfriends.Myinitial
planwas to onlyhave twocharacters howeverIcouldnotrecordwiththemdue to problems,soI
gatheredsome of myfriendsthatI have knownforyearsand askedthemto go outand have fun.
Thisthenledto the advertisementcoming outasa vlogtype of videowhichmakesthe audience
feelsasthoughtheyare there withus,smilingandenjoyingthemselves.Throughoutthisentire
advertthere wasno actingjust genuine emotionsandactions.Personally,Ithoughtthatif itfeltlike
theywere beinggenuine towardsthe camerathatmy audience wouldbe able torelate andconnect
to it a lotmore than theywouldtoa scriptedadvertisement.
The end results,inmyopinion,wasgreat.Ithoroughlyenjoyedcreatingthiseventhoughthere were
some difficultiesbutotherthanthat,I believeitwasan accomplishment.BydoingthisprojectIhave
come to termswithsome advice formy future self.Alwayshave anextraSD card and alwaysbackup
my work.I have hadto learnthisthe hardway. Whenwatchingthisadvertisement,Ihope my
audience will be able tofeelwhatIfeel;happy,nostalgic,emotional,andloved.Becauseevenwhen
we are at our lowest,we shouldnothave tofeel alone andthatiswhatI wantedto putacross when
makingthis.
I have learnedhowtouse premierproto an extentandhow to export/renderavideothatI have
edited.Iwill use these skillsinfuture projectsastheywill helpme edittothe bestof myability.I
alsohave learnedhowtorecord some footage suitable forthe client'sneedsandwants.Thishas
metthe clients'standardsas I have researchedwhatmakespeoplesmile,whatismental healthand
whatcan helppeople whodeal withmental healthproblems.InmyadvertI wasable to displaymy
understandingas Iportrayedwhatmakesmy audience smile,the strugglesof mental health,and
that itis aimedat myaudiencesage range;15 to 25 yearolds.
