Reflecting upon things I am most passionate about or involved in I instantly thought of working
with children and the elderly, then I thought of those who I showed no interest in working with.
Initially, volunteering to help the poor or third world countries came to mind. First, while I am a

Laboratory. Cardiovascular diseases have long been the leading cause of death in the United

There is a major difference between being what one shares when being open with a friend and
being open with a loved one. For every relational situation change, the contradictions that are
focused on tend to change as well. Totality focuses in a different direction, although the definition is

The Appalachian region is one of the most valuable areas of the United States. It is rich in many

Prime Time
Women, grandmothers, girls, boys, grandfathers, and men are all depicted in the media
differently every day. Each television show, movie, football game, commercial, and broadcast
contains at least one of the individuals mentioned above. My main focus will be on how men and
women are depicted in the media. Ultimately, I do not watch much television but, lucky for me
two of my favorite shows that I do get the chance to watch, air back to back on Thursday evenings.
I was able to watch both of them within the two hour time period requirement for this particular

commercials. I have noticed that the commercials being played are almost the same type of
setting as the show. For example a commercial came on about the Little Women of LA, which

The theme of the nature of a closed society refers to the fact that people who live in such
communities aren t able to question what they are taught as they are they are deprived of the
knowledge which travelling and other people can teach them.
When reading the novel it is clear that Axel identifies with the text s criticisms of intolerance.
Axel disagrees with the intolerance toward things different from the normal, as he himself is not
physically the same as others in Waknuk. Axel Morton however is not a deviant because his
abnormality was obtained after birth in a sailing accident. He was standing in the customary way,
with much of his weight upon the thick stick he used because his leg had been wrongly set at sea
. This quote reveals Axel Morton s difference from the norm, and although it is not a huge
variation, he still had to cope with that difference, and his inability to perform certain tasks that
others could do. Although this difference from the norm was not deviational, he was still able to
sympathise with true deviants, as he knew what it was like to be different to others around him.
His difference form the norm was not the only reason for which he sympathised with deviants, but
his knowledge also of other places and people, allowed him to have an open mind about certain
viewpoints, which others did
