- 1. PowerPoint • Microsoft PowerPoint is one way of displaying an abundance of information together, alternatively to just writing it on the blog. It also enabled us to annotate and label pictures in a way we would not be able to if we wrote straight onto the blog. Slide shows created on PowerPoint have to be uploaded onto Slideshare.com in order for them to be out onto the blog. I used PowerPoint for our storyboard, for a real digipak analysis, and for the music video editing process.
- 2. Livetype • Livetype is a software on the Apple Mac computers on which we created the title for the begging and end of the music video, telling the audience the song name and artist. We typed in the appropriate text, changed the colour to white, used the font we wished to, and added effects to how it came onto and left the screen. We have used this before last year for the thriller credits, and so knew what to do, and it did not take long.
- 3. Photoshop • This year we used Photoshop in more depth than I had ever previously used it, and once I had grasped how to use the different tools I was able to use it effectively to create the digipak and magazine adverts, the processes of which I have already posted about on my blog. This software has a wide variety of tools and effects, allowing us to be really creative with our work, at the same time as making it professional looking and similar to the indie rock feel of the music video.
