1. How did you use new techniques in
the construction, research, planning
and evaluation stages?
Our film campaign has been made using a selection of online media, and
software available on computers
2. Our Main Resources
•
To research, create and edit most of the campaign
we used a 2010 iMac. The Mac came equipped with
some basic software, such as garage band and
iMovie, we used this software later on.
•
To film our teaser trailer and take the photographs for
the poster and magazine we used a Canon 550D
Digital SLR. The manual 18-55mm lens meant we had
a small zoom range, but but importantly could
manually focus, to make objects appear and
disappear.
3. Programmes Used
•
We began the project using Safari to research existing
posters, then moved onto online software such as prezi,
where we displayed our research and early ideas. To
research we used websites such as Youtube, Pearl and Dean
and IMDB. Youtube enabled us to watch existing trailers, and
look at conventions associated with our genre. We then used
Pearl and Dead to check the audience demographics. Finally
IMDB was used to look at the posters and some of the other
trailers released. To display these ideas we moved over to
Prezi, where we could make user navigated story boards
online. We also used mahara and Youtube to show progress
and how out thought processes worked.
4. Construction
•
We started with creating the teaser, so we used the Canon 550D to
film this. We then moved onto the Macs and began editing the footage
using Apples Final Cut Pro. The software was good and allowed us to
edit cleanly without losing quality. We also used Adobe After effects to
create the moving title for the teaser. This was new software to me,
and being very end seemed confusing at first. To develop the sound
we started with Garage band, then took samples from freesounds.net.
Finally we used Soundtrack to put it all together. The poster was
created using Adobe Photoshop, this software meant I could
manipulate and edit images to match out desired brand image. I used
new effects to me, such as the radial blur, and circular gradient. The
magazine cover was made using a mixture of Photoshop and Adobe
Illustrator. Photoshop was used to edit the images and create the
blurs, while Illustrator was used to layer up the cover.
5. Evaluation
•
To present the evaluation we used online software, as
well as programmed ones. I have used Prezi again to
present one question. I also used a website called
Animoto, where I could show comments and
feedback in an interesting way. I used Keynote to
present this question. Finally I use Finalcut, to make a
video for question 1.
