We targeted our audience for a music video and promotional material in several ways:

- 1. EVALUATION Q4 How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
- 2. APPLE MAC The Apple Mac was used for the majority of creating our project. Due to its processor, it is capable of demanding tasks like video editing as well as being able to store a lot of data which is essential when creating a music video, digipak and advertisement. It also has a 1920 x 1080 resolution so it gives the best quality out to the videos.
- 3. WORDPRESS Wordpress was used to record the construction of my project. This was the starting point of creating a music video, digipak and advertisement. I analysed different pop music videos to see what the conventions they had included and found that there was more performance with a small amount of narrative which is we decided to do. I also did the same for the advertisement and digipak.
- 4. YOUTUBE I have also used google images to research into existing advertisement and digipaks of artist from the pop genre which I have also analysed to see the layout of the graphics used. GOOGLE IMAGES For planning, I had used youtube to research existing music videos to get inspiration for my music video. I searched up various pop artist/bands such as Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, Little Mix etc. For some of which I have analysed to see how they have used pop conventions and what the concept of their music video is.
- 5. POWERPOINT After researching and analysing existing music videos, digipak and advertisement, I created a Powerpoint which includes our chosen song, background information of the artist and the singer recreation. It also includes the target audience, main concept, performance ideas and the conventions we intend to follow.
- 6. CANON LEGRIA The camcorder we have used the Canon Legria to shoot for the whole music video. The camcorder features a good resolution with an optical zoom so it is able to capture footage clearly in good lighting and in low lighting.
- 7. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP Photoshop was used for the digipak and advertisement of the album. Photoshop allowed me to edit images, create a variety of texts, experiment with the background to create a spontaneous project to attract the target market. I was able to create the metallic font style name of the artist through adobe photoshop. Final cut pro was used for the creation of the music video. This allowed us to create the narrative and performance through cuts, effects etc. I have also used this before in the preliminary task to get familiar on how to use the program and how it works as well as adding certain effects and transitions.
