On entry collect your gear and set
up your piece of paper.
Year 7’s please sit in the same
seat that you have been given.

4. What will you learn?
Graphics is about communicating
ideas to other people using pencil,
paper, computers, pictures,Images,
diagrams and different types of
media.
Design is about thinking and
coming up with solutions to
problems or situations. We use
Graphics to communicate those
ideas
Graphics and Design is “COOL”

Adopt a positive frame of mind to
your learning.
I will always expect your best, don’t
disappoint me, but more important
don’t disappoint yourself.

6. Work Expectations
All work to be completed and to the
best of your ability.
Homework is not set but you are
expected to complete any
unfinished drawings.
All work to be handed in on time
marks will be deducted for late
work.

7. Assessment
Year 7’s 3 assessment pieces all
worth 5 marks. Year 8 4
assessments worth 5 marks each.
5 marks = Excellent
4marks = Merit
3marks = Achieved
2marks = Not Achieved
1mark = Fail
Reports are graded A = Above
Level, M= Meeting the level, D =
Developing at that level. 7
8. Assessment Effort
At the end of the course all work
will be submitted in your clear file
as a portfolio of work. Students
who have completed all work will
be awarded an A on their report.
75% of work complete will be a B
on their report.
50% a C and so on.
Remember any work can be added
to your class portfolio.
