• SHARPEN YOUR PENCIL IF NECESSARY

  ENVELOPE.
• START WORKING ON THE ASSIGNMENT ON
  THE BOARD.
• GO TO THE BATHROOM AND YOUR
  LOCKER BEFORE ENTERING THE ROOM.
• STOP WORKING AND PUT YOUR PENCIL
  DOWN DURING ANNOUNCEMENTS.
• HOMEROOM IS NOT SOCIAL TIME!

Student Behaviors

• Be prompt
    Be ready to learn when class begins.
• Be prepared
    Have materials with you and know due dates.
• Be a polite and positive participant
    Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen
     attentively.
• Be productive
    Turn in work on time, and always do your best.
• Be a problem solver
    Correct problems quickly and peacefully before
     they escalate.
Show Respect

• Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and
  practice strong values.
• Treat all members of the school community and
  all visitors with politeness and respect.
• Honor the ideas and opinions of others.
• Offer to help.
• Be responsible with property and belongings.
Responsibility for Coursework

• Bring notebook, textbook, agenda, and
  pencils to class.
• Know due dates, and submit all coursework
  on time.
• Assignments for all classes are posted on the
  whiteboard and on the class Web site.
• It is your responsibility to write down all
  assignments in your agenda book.
• If you lose your agenda book, you must
  purchase a new one from the office.
IMPORTANT POLICIES
•   Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom.
•   Gum will result in an automatic office referral.
•   Please be in your seat when the morning bell rings.
•   Your agenda must be used as a hall pass.
•   Use the restroom at appropriate times unless it is an
    extreme emergency.
•   LOCKER TIMES: morning (get 1st, 2nd period, and
    related arts books), after 2nd related arts (get 6th and 7th
    period books), and at the end of the day.
•   ANY STUDENT THAT RECEIVES A TEAM
    DETENTION, OFFICE REFERRAL WILL NOT BE
    ALLOWED TO ATTEND INCENTIVE AT THE END OF
    THE 9 WEEKS.
ABSENCES

• A note is required for all absences.
• It is your responsibility to ask for all makeup
  work and due dates.
• It is your responsibility to turn in the work
  without the teacher asking for it.
Grading

• Grades are based on the accumulation of
  points.

• Points are based on:             •   93-100%     =A
    Completion of assignments     •   85-92%      =B
                                   •   77-84%      =C
     (daily work)                  •   76-70%      =D
                                   •   Below 70%   =F
    Major projects, exams, and
     homework.                    Grades are calculated
