First part of the evaluation parameters for effective
presentation strategies deals with the language quality in oral
presentation.
This difference must be kept in mind while drafting a
presentation:
The style of a presentation must be as simple and
direct as the style of conversation.
Words used in common everyday talk are the best for
use in a presentation.
Apart from words, while assessing the language quality equal
attention should be paid to the fluency, grammar and coherence in
ideas.

•Vocabulary is a medium to express our
ideas without which communication cannot
take place.
•During the intervention program they have been taught how
to use words keeping in mind the context, domain and
audience with the help of the instructional video and
traditional lecture aids.
•The presenter consistently uses a rich and varied
vocabulary to convey ideas. Moreover, the choices of words
are appropriate to the audience, occasion and domain.
• Infrequent use of circumlocution (indirect way of
communicating something) because particular
words are rarely lacking.
•Verbal communication is really effective when a speaker can
command voice modifications.
•To create and sustain interest, sudden and appropriate
variation in tone and frequency is necessary.

•English grammar is the body of rules that describe the
structure of expressions in the English language. This included
the structure of words, phrases, clauses and sentences.
Grammar
•Coherence refers to the clear and logical linking
of ideas in speech. When we change the main ideas of topics
within a paragraph, confusion often results.
•But even when all the sentences in the paragraph are
related to and contribute some meaning to the topic
sentence, the paragraph will turn out to be ineffective if
those sentences are not appropriately and adequately
cohered.

•Part two of the evaluation parameters for effective
presentation strategies deals with the organization of
ideas.
• Structuring or organizing the material clearly is vital
for an effective presentation.
•A well-organized presentation can make the message
more comprehensible, keep the audience happy, and
boost our image as a speaker.
• On the other hand, rambling or taking too long to get
to the point, including irrelevant material in the
speech, omitting necessary information, or messing up
the ideas can lead to a chaotic structure.
2.Organization of content

An introduction arouses the audience’s interest in the topic by
using appropriate and timely attention getters, establishes
credibility, and prepares the audience for what will follow with
the help of preview and finally lead them into the main body
with the help of the appropriate transitional sentences.
•Topic Statement
A statement of the central idea should be included in the
introduction. The topic statement lets the audience know what
the presentation is about and what you as presenter want to
accomplish.
•Credibility Statement
The presenter should be well prepared, appear confident, and
strike a rapport with the audience by narrating personal
experiences relevant to the topic.
•Preview
A preview can be understood as a roadmap- a direction for the
speech that leads to a successful conclusion.
