Thermal power plants generate 67.7% of Pakistan's electricity. The Jamshoro plant has an installed capacity of 880 MW from 4 units, with Units 2, 3, and 4 each having a capacity of 210 MW. These units use subcritical reheat Rankine cycles with steam conditions of 132kg/cm2 pressure and 538°C temperature, and 24.5kg/cm2 reheat pressure. The plant has conventional components like boilers, turbines, generators, condensers, and pumps.
