Sulphuric acid is a chemical
compound and it's formula is
H2SO4. Two atoms of Hydrogen,
one atom of Sulphur and 4 atoms
of oxygen make up Sulphuric acid.
It can be used as a bleaching
agent and disinfectant. It has a
very strong and suffocating odor!
A heavy, oily, colourless to
dark brown liquid produced by
adding sulphur trioxide to
concentrated sulphuric acid.
It is used in petroleum refining
and the manufacture of
explosives. Chemical
formula: H2S2O7.
Nitric acid is a type of mineral
acid that is characteristically
highly toxic and also very
corrosive. Nitric acid is colourless
when pure and it is also known by
terms such as aqua fortis and
spirit of nitre.
HNO3
Citric acid is a weak organic
acid with the formula
C6H8O7. It is a natural
preservative/conservative and
is also used to add an acidic or
sour taste to foods and drinks.
Carbonic acid is the chemical
compound with the formula
H2CO3. It is also a name
sometimes given to solutions
of carbon dioxide in water,
because such solutions
contain small amounts of
H2CO3.
