Resilient flooring is a loose, catch-all term that refers to floor coverings that occupy a middle ground between soft floors (like carpeting) and hard floors (like stone or hardwood).
Pluss Polymers now introduces Wood Plastics composites. Feels like wood but with best features of wood and plastics. Made from recycled wood and plastic, it is an environment friendly product adding to your LEED points! It is resistant to rot, moisture, termite, warping and cracking. It has various applications like decking, railing, fencing, wall cladding, garden furniture, louvers, pergola, etc. Available in different color and finishes, it gives your home a superior aesthetic look with very low maintenance. This short presention is about the dirrefent types of boards used in building construction, furniture, and interior design.
This presentation is intended towards Architects/ Architecture Students/ Interior designers and Building construction technology enthusiasts.
It's incredibly durable, long-lasting, and fits snuggly with just about any aesthetic out there. Wood also appeals to homeowners also because of its ease of use. Wooden furniture and other pieces are often very handy in terms of their overall size.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

In Odoo, the multi-company feature allows you to manage multiple companies within a single Odoo database instance. Each company can have its own configurations while still sharing common resources such as products, customers, and suppliers.
2. INTRODUCTION-
● It is also called chipboard, particleboard is an engineered wood
product that is manufactured by compressing wood chips,
sawdust and wood shavings and using a resin binder to hold the
particles together.
● As it uses up waste by-products from the manufacture of
plywood, it can be considered to be sustainable and is far more
cost-effective than other boards.
● Prelaminated particle board is a particle board laminated on
both surfaces by synthetic resin impregnated base papers under
the influence of heat and pressure; or with finished foils under
the influence of pressure or pressure and heat depending upon
the type of binder used.
● Particleboards can be finished with thin sheets of veneer or
laminate to give it a better appearance and make it last longer.
These are called pre-veneered or pre-laminated particle boards.
3. MANUFACTURING–
MATERIALS REQUIRED-
1. Particle Board: Synthetic resin bonded flat pressed three layer
or multilayer or graded particle board used for the
manufacture of pre laminated particle board shall conform to
IS 3087:1985.
2. Impregnated Base Paper: Printed or plain coloured absorbent
base paper having a weight of 60-140 g/m2
impregnated in a
suitable synthetic resin and dried to a volatile content of 4-8
percent shall be used for prelamination on both surfaces of
particle board.
3. Impregnated Overlay: An absorbent tissue paper having a
weight of 18-40 g/m2
impregnated in a suitable synthetic
resin and dried to a volatile content of 4-8 percent shall be
used for the manufacture of prelaminated particle board
PROCESS-
STEP 1:IT is manufactured using low pressure press machines.
These machines are generally used for the prelaminating
these boards.
STEP 2:The process involves impregnation of decorative paper
with melamine resin.
After the process of impregnation, resin is pressed
over the board surfaces with the help of the press machines
.
STEP 3:The next step is to cut it and glue it over the board
surfaces. The decorative laminates that are used with
wood mostly made up of brown kraft paper infused with
phenolic resin and decorative paper impregnated with melamine
resin.
5. Applications
● These products are used for various purposes by the
end-users.
● They are mainly used for building ready-made furniture.
● It is also used for manufacturing kitchen countertops,
partitions, wall panels and much more.
● These products are efficiently durable and comparatively
low in cost to plywood.
Building and construction - Panel doors, flooring, partitioning, wall paneling,
exhibition,ceiling and many more ....
Furniture - Cabinets, storage units, wall unit, wardrobe, kitchen cabinet, book
shelf, Audiovideotrolley, dressing unit. Tables table tops, sofa set, shoe rack,
pelmets, Cots, computertable, Workstation, filing unit, Desks, stools, Benches.
Etc.
Industrial - Television, speaker boxes, sewing machine tops, Display board,
Black board,Automobiles.
6. Advantages
● Cost benefits: Particleboard is the most cost-effective core material
for your cabinetry. If you are on a tight budget this is the best
material choice, and you will get significant savings over using other
engineered woods or solid wood.
● Eco-friendly: Particleboard utilises all the by-products of the
manufacture of other engineered woods, saving them from the
landfill. This makes it an environmentally friendly product.
● Aesthetic appearance: Particleboards are finished with laminates or
veneers and are available in a variety of colours and wood finishes.
● Lightweight: Particleboards is significantly less heavy than other
boards and this allows for ease of transport and use.
● Acoustic properties: Particleboards have acoustic properties, which
makes them very well suited to make soundproof wall panelling and
in false ceilings.
7. disadvantages
● Absorption of moisture: A major disadvantage of
particleboard is that it absorbs water and expands,
losing its strength and dimensional stability. It cannot
be used outdoors for this reason.
● Strength and durability: Compared to other
materials, particleboard has low strength and
durability. Furniture and cabinets made out of
particle board cannot withstand very rough use or
heavy wear and tear.
● Screw holding capacity: As the cross-section of the
board is soft and brittle, there is limited capacity to
hold screws.
● Stains easily: The unfinished board stains easily,
and therefore to prevent any damage it should be
stored under dry and clean conditions only.
